I rented this studio apartment for a week for my parents visit in May of 2013. One of the reasons we decided to go for an apartment rental vs. a hotel room was the greater value for money considering the expense of hotels in Manhattan. My parents thoroughly enjoyed their stay at the studio. The location is absolutely prime as it is easy walking distance from the Central Park and the main museums & galleries in the city. There is an excellent market nearby for supplies as well as numerous deli's and restaurants. The apartment is also a just couple of minutes walk from the 72nd subway stop where you can take the 2/3 and be downtown Financial District or uptown Washington Heights in 20-25 minutes & Times Square in less than 10 minutes. The apartment itself is small, as befits a typical NYC studio and is suitable for 2 people. The building is nice, the apartment is secure, very clean and has a very comfortable bed & decent space for storage of luggage and clothes. If you want to live like a true New Yorker for a week & avoid the hotel scene this is the place for you.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

I was scheduled to attend a business conference in NYC, and had been so busy at work I forgot to make hotel reservations. Well, by the time I got around to it, nothing affordable was available. In a pinch, I was fortunate to find this studio available. Being familiar with the area, I knew it would be safe and suitable for a female traveling alone. The neighborhood is great, and I took time to wander around and take in the sights. The studio itself was bed small, clean, the bed extremely comfortable (a very important consideration when traveling). All in all, I would say it was perfect for my needs.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Very stylish (Campari poster, glass top dining table) -perfect location right off Broadway. 20 min to Lincoln Center, 5 min to the 72nd St MTA station. Very clean and compact. Good size fridge for cheese, wine, etc. and working bath tub (if you walk too much in NYC). Sorry that Mary (housekeeper) does not return telephone messages - we tried three times and gave up. Cleaning deposit promptly returned. Quiet on the 4th Floor with window that really opened to let in lots of air. A great place to stay on the UWS.Did you find this review helpful? This apartment was at a great location! Close to an awesome market and a great little bakery and also within walking distance to some great pizza! The apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our week in NYC. It was only a couple of blocks away from the nearest subway station and just a $36 cab ride from LaGuardia airport. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to be close to everything but save some money while visiting the city. The owners were great! Quick to respond to any questions we had before our arrival and quick to return our damage deposit after we left. Thanks so much for making our 4th wedding anniversary such a memorable occasion!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I must say, I had my doubts coming because they already predicted, that Sandy would hit NY, but Michael said, 'all would be fine, we are on the Upper West Side' and since at that point the Marathon was nto canceled and I did not want to miss it - I came! Well, the Marathon was cancelled, but I had a great time! NYers are a great bunch and to be there during this crisis was an amazing experience! Thanks Michael, for convincing me to come! The place was just as descibed, clean, comfy and in a superb location!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

The apartment was located in a great location walking distance to many of the museums that we wanted to go to. We enjoyed the place for our stay. It lost 2 stars because there were roaches in the bath tub and the closet. also the hallway garbage chute had plenty of roaches over it. I guess thats NY but its never good to have vermin in the apt.Recommended for: Tourists without a car.
Owner response: Kyle, I am shocked to hear that! The exterminator is in the building every fortnight and we exchange the roach motels meticulously! But as you said, it is NYC! BTW a big water bug is not a sign of infestation. Lots of small ones are. I wish you would have let us know, when you were here and we could have taken care of the problem right then and there (new traps and an extra round of the exterminator)!
