I must say this was one of my best Keys Lobster trips to date. Our property was clean and comfortable, just as advertized. My companions repeatedly said this was the nicest place we've ever stayed at in Marathon. Bonnie was very helpful and quick to respond. We were close to Publix and the dive shops, in a quiet neighborhood. The idle out through the canals was a little long, 15 minutes, but not a problem. I would gladly come back.

Great vacation in Marathon. We loved the location of the house -- it is close to Sombrero Beach and in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The Publix is right around the corner and overall, we thought Marathon was centrally located so we could go up and down the Keys with ease. The home was very clean when we checked in and everything was in good condition and well maintained. The owner was very nice and the management company was very responsive -- Bonnie even called when the unit was available for check-in. Wonderful vacation, we recommend it!

My friends and I stayed at the house for a long weekend from 4/20 to 4/23. I have stayed there before and raved about how great the house is and the location. My friends were very impressed, and felt the design of the house is even nicer and roomier than the picutres show. It's such a pleasure to stay in a well-maintained house with large bedrooms, a large, open kitchen and a nice balcony to enjoy the great water view. I continue to recommend this house to all my family and friends. In addition, the owner was extremely helpful, as was the real estate agent, Bonnie.

This is a beautiful place in a wonderful location on a nice quiet street. It is light and airy with a great floor plan and loads of space. As well, it was nice and clean when we came in. We would highly recommend this property for family trips, or for a small group. You can bring your own boat (or rent one) and keep it right there in the back yard. It's perfect for fishing/snorkeling/diving trips and Sombrero Beach is less than a mile away. We really appreciated the garage with the bike, chairs, beach toys, ice chest and the great fishing gear. Thanks!

We had a wonderful relaxing week with the highlight being the most scenic and beautifully maintained beach within a mile from the house. We picniced, watched sunsets, and ate at many local restaurants and pubs. The Stuffed Pig for breakfast is a must along with the Sunset Grill. A day trip to Key West is only 50 miles away and well worth the visit. The house is very comfortable with a fully stocked kitchen and wireless internet. Beach chairs and umbrella were also provided.

My three brothers and I stayed here for a fishing/lobstering/diving trip. The house was exactly as advertised, the owner was great to work with. Plenty of room for four big guys to stretch out after a long day on the water. 20 minute idle to the Atlantic. A few more minutes to 7 mile bridge or Sombrero reef. Great location for boaters although you are towards the back of the canals, but it's not a bad idle out. Room to park the boat/trailer and truck. Fish cleaning station, bait freezer and small garage to store stuff overnight.

This was our 2nd year in this home. No surprises. Very roomy and comfortable 2BR/2BA residence. Kitchen was large and great for food prep. Dining inside or outside on the top deck overlooking the water. As always, clean well equiped. Boat dockage is good and plenty of ground level storage for boat/fishing supplies. Bait freezer is great to have as well. Very safe and quite neighborhood. Nice bike/walking path all the way from grocery store to Sombrero Beach. Listing info is accurate. Local tips, Breakfast: Stuffed Pig! Lunches/Dinners: Burdines! Keys Fisheries! New place.... "Catch 53" just opened July 2011 behind the Holiday Inn Express. Very nice open air Tiki restaurant and bar, slightly expensive, but nice.

As a past owner of a Keys home and rental properties, I can definitely say, this is a very clean and comfortable property. The listing info and pictures are accurate. Open living/dining/kitchen overlooking the canal and your boat. Large master bedroom and nice master bath. Washer/dryer upstairs. Owner and her local manager are extremely pleasant and helpful. We spent nearly a month at this property and felt right at home. The neighborhood is in great location of nice custom homes, close to grocery stores as well as Sombrero beach. Bike and walking paths. Neighbors were great. Will be back in 2011. If your a boater: ample, lockable storage downstairs for equipment. Shade on your dock in the afternoon. Separate bait freezer, fish cleaning table. Can keep your vehicle and trailer under covered parking. 10 minute idle to open water. Leave the dock just before daylight and you can hookup on Tarpon on top and Goliath Grouper on the bottom in the canals on your way out to the Atlantic. No negative surprises with this property, enjoy your stay!!

The house was perfect. Very spacious and the freezer downstairs was so convenient for lobster tails! We had to trailer the boat everyday to launch it because it would have taken too long by boat to get to our lobster spots. The photos accurately depicted the house and it was clean and maintained. I would recommend it to a friend if they didnt have a boat. The owner gave us a great deal! And that was a huge plus!

We get down to the Keys multiple times each year and sometimes we can't always get availability. Each time we don't it reminds me of why we prefer to stay here. I haven't been able to find another property that begins to compare. It is an incredibly comfortable, clean, and easy place to stay. Having a large dock makes it great with kids and all the toys. The location is central and easy to get anywhere: groceries, tackle, restaurants, beach, etc. We were down in September and made a trip down to Key West (Dave's Island Taxi has a cheap round trip package) so we could really enjoy without concern. We were able to get out fishing and load up on tuna. We didn't have to buy any fish the whole trip!! It was a perfect trip and coming back into a warm friendly place just completed each day as another perfect day in paradise.

                  Year Purchased: 1999

About the owner: Grew up in South Florida, and spent a lot of time down in the Keys. We absolutely love Marathon and all it has to offer.

                  Why the Owner Chose Marathon:
The sun, fun and relaxed atmosphere. A truly unique place to enjoy the beach, boating, sailing, snorkeling, diving, and great seafood. Once I enter the Keys...all my stress just melts away.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our house is in a great location halfway between Miami and Key West. The neighborhood of Sombrero beach is very nice and quiet. We are also less then 1 mile to the beach...which was recently updated. (Great family beach!!) It has covered picnic tables, clean, new restroom facilities, great play ground, and a perfect beach for relaxing under the palm trees next to the ocean. Our house has an open floor plan and has new, comfortable furnishings. It is very nicely appointed. We enjoy having coffee on the large balcony and watching the water, fish, boats, iguanas and all the wildlife out back. Large 50' dock is perfect for your boat...plenty of parking for 3 or 4 cars and a trailer. Easy access to the beach, fishing, dining, snorkeling, diving and much more!
