Come relax and play at our newly built mountain condo. In the winter, snow skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and sledding abound at Brian Head. The resort gets 350 inches of annual snowfall (often more) and is a mecca for winter sports and activities. The condo is only steps away from the Brian Head Ski Resort. Two new lifts opened this winter that are very easily accessible from our townhouse. It is a short walk to the new lifts and an easy slide back home. The new lifts (1 & 8) allow you to access either the main mountain or the Navajo ski area from adjacent starting points at the end of our road. Lift 1 takes you over to Navajo Mountain. You can then ski back over the new interconnect bridge. Lift 8 takes you midway up the main mountain where you can access many runs and ski right down to Giant Steps lodge and lifts 2 & 3. Or if you prefer, take the new lift 8 onto the mountain to access the mid-mountain lifts (5 & 7) and the slopes they serve without ever going down to the base of the mountain.
The resort currently has 8 lifts on two mountains which are now linked by a skiable interconnect bridge. There is a large separate ski area for beginners on Navajo and a fantastic children's ski school program. Child care for younger children is also excellent at the resort. There is a giant snow tubing hill at the resort which is not to be missed. Snowmobile, ski/snowboard rentals are available at several locations very close to the condo. In the summer and fall, Brian Head is known for mountain biking. Mountain Biking Trails criss-cross the area and several biking events are held throughout the warmer seasons. The ski lifts stay in service carrying riders and their bikes up the mountain to access the downhill biking trails. There are biking tours with shuttles available from several operators in the area. Summer and fall is also the time to take advantage of the beautiful National Parks and Monuments in the area. Breathtaking views and fantastic hiking opportunities can be found at Cedar Breaks National Monument (15 min. drive), Zion National Park (1 1/2 hour drive), and Bryce Canyon National Park (1 1/2 hour drive).
This condo sits at the end of a cul-de-sac with the town park, which has a small playground, just outside the front door and across the road. (This is also where the town bonfires and fireworks take place.) It is a spacious (approximately 1800 sq. ft. not including garage)two-story unit in a building with only 4 townhouse-style units. We do not have multiple listings, this is our one and only personal vacation home. On the lower level there is a living room with gas fireplace. There are leather sofas and a 42" flat screen TV. The kitchen is very large and well equipped, featuring quartz countertops and stainless appliances including a gas range. An eat-in bar links the kitchen to the dining room. An oversize square dining table seats at least 8. A 20" flat screen TV is mounted in the dining room (also with satellite access). A small bathroom/powder room and adjacent stacked washer/dryer completes the bottom level. The top floor has a master bedroom with Wrought Iron Cal King bed. The master bath includes a corner jetted tub. A second bedroom contains a queen bed and a third bedroom (or "bunkroom") contains bunk beds (double on bottom, single on top)and another single bed. The large open loft area has an additional double bed. A full bath upstairs is shared by these sleeping areas.
Do you have a large group? We are friends with the owners of the other units in our building. The owners of the other end unit are also making their townhouse available for rental. The floor plan is a mirror image of ours and all surfaces and appliances are of equal quality. It is fully stocked and furnished containing 2 king beds, 2 double beds, and one set of bunk beds. If you are interested in renting on a date that our unit is booked, this would be a great alternative. Or if you have a very large group, you could possibly book both units. They are only steps away from one another and can sleep up to 20 in beds combined! Use the contact information on this page for more details. |
