Loved Oasis Marigot!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this house and this community. It's a beautiful place to truly get away from it all, but still with access to anything you might need. Peggy (the owner) was in touch many times before our trip to give information and answer questions and the staff at Oasis Marigot were great about arranging anything we needed/wanted. I hope we can come back to St. Lucia and Oasis Marigot.

We will definitely be back!

We spent 2 weeks in this lovely sea house and adored every minute of it. We spent most afternoons drifting between the plunge pool (which came in very handy during the afternoons and early evenings) and the top deck of the house - reading (the front desk has books to borrow) and just generally relaxing. I cannot explain how amazing the views are from this deck and recommend bringing binocculars with you, which we did, to watch the many sail boats coming in and out of the harbour. The pictures showing the views do not do justice - you have to see it to believe it. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and above our expectations. The walk up the stairs from the beach to the house is not as bad as you read in all of the reviews and was actually welcoming after eating and drinking down below at Doolittle's or across the way at Discovery. One thing to mention is that I wouldn't recommend this location for children; we spent our first 10 days with quiet neighbours and afterwhich, a family moved in and trust me, you can hear everything. I would say it is definitely more adult orientated for sure. Definitely go on the sailing tour to the South and you have to try the fish shack on the opposite side just to the right of the water taxi - the freshest food I had on the Island. That and at the fish fry in both Rodney Bay and Anse La Raye. I'd recommend leaving by 10pm from both. There are usually others from the resort heading up that way so sharing a cab makes it less expensive getting there and back. When we return we will definitely rent a car for a few days to explore the Island a bit more. We used taxi's the first day and that is super expensive. We then took the bus for the rest of our vacation but that walk up the hill in the heat is a killer. Otherwise, the bus worked just fine - everyone is so friendly on the Island we didn't have a worry in the world and were always pointed in the right direction. We even met some great people from the Island that we still keep in touch with and our time there was truly unforgettable. So, all in all, a fabulous place for a romantic and relaxing getaway. Like I said Peggy, we will definitely be back!

Charming seahouse with a great view!

We stayed for four days in April of 2010 and had a great time! The house is clean and very cute. The upper balcony/deck is the best part and we spent all of the time that we were not out on the deck. The staff at the cluster of seahouses is very helpful and they booked several excursions for us. It definitely made things easier to have someone to ask if we weren't sure about something. The gardens are beautiful and walking up the stairs is good exercise. You really can't beat the view of the bay. So pretty! This is a perfect spot for a romantic getaway.
