This cottage is simply great for my family's needs. Listing is accurate. Handy to the beach and the ice cream store at the old Tea Room and friendly neighbors. The week was wonderful - so relaxing. Loved the porch and the view of the ocean. Handy to everything. Cottage had everything we needed. It was a pleasure to be able to sit and relax. Want to go back next year.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

I give this cottage an A. It was exactly what a beach cottage should be. I agree with previous reviewers. You can't beat taking just steps to get to the beach. The side porch has a perfect view and seating arrangement for morning coffee or an afternoon book. The back porch is perfect for grilling out or relaxing with friends. The house is well equipped with virtually everything you need for a great week. The cottage was immaculate when we arrived. There were 4 of us and we had plenty of space - I could easily see adding another few adults or children. Though we arrived too early for the Silver Beach neighborhood activites, we saw the calendar and were impressed with all there is planned. Location is perfect. It's 10-15 minutes to almost anything -- great restaurants, groceries, movies for a rainy day, go-karts, Woods Hole, or Wal-mart for anything you forgot. The bike trail is only minutes away. The only thing that would make this an A+ for me is a washer/dryer. We definitely recommend this property and hope to return ourselves next year.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our family just loved this cottage. It was only two houses away from the beach which helped when carrying the children’s water toys and chairs to the beach. This is a great family beach with a long sand bar and great breezes, ice cream trucks etc. The cottage has a comfortable living room /dinning room with TV and VCR/DVD. It had an ideal kitchen with a long island and stools for breakfast and quick lunches. The bedrooms were comfortable and the children enjoyed their bunk house (two sets of bunk beds) with their own bathroom. There is a large back deck and picnic table and charcoal grill. My personal favorite is the side porch which is in direct view of the ocean and great breezes. Thank you Bill and Audrey ! Looking forward to next year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

This cottage is a couple houses removed from the beach, so you can feel the cool breeze and hear waves all day and night, as well as see the water. The feel was very neighborly. It was nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. We stayed on the top floor, which could sleep 5 (2 queens and a single) and didn't use the downstairs at all, which seemed cool and slightly damp, but could sleep 4 others in bunks. The deck off the back of the house was large, freshly painted and sunny, but our favorite was the porch area that overlooked the water. The stairs to the upper floor were solid with good rails, so reasonable even for seniors. Owners were friendly and very helpful. Excellect customer service. This cottage is a good base to see the cape, especially the area of Falmough and Woods Hole. We ate at a nice restaurant on the Falmouth Harbor, and visited the Woods Hole Exhibit Center. I would recommend both. We drove to the wider and flatter Old Silver Beach to swim, and walked the beach by the house to relax and look for shells. I really enjoyed this little cottage, would definately recommend it to a friend, at least in the capacity that we used it. It is a very reasonable and relaxing way to feel like you live by the ocean for a few days.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
