The Cartecay River Retreat in Blackberry Mountain is a gorgeous three bedroom, 3 bath cabin situated right on the Cartecay River. Relax in the 5 person hot tub on the lower deck overlooking the river, and enjoy listening to the rushing water and sounds of nature. An outdoorsman’s paradise, the Cartecay offers some of the finest trout fishing in the region, or cast your line into the nearby Coosawattee and Ellijay rivers or the 3200 acre Carter’s Lake, all within 10-15 minutes of the cabin.
Located on the border of the Chattahoochee National Forest and 5 Wildlife Nature areas, sportsmen can hunt during designated times of the year for deer and turkey. The Cartecay River Retreat is also just a short drive to Lake Blue Ridge.
Families and kids will love roasting marshmallows in the fire pit down on the river bank, swimming at Blackberry Mountain or Carter’s Lake at the Harris Branch Recreation Area, tubing down the Cartecay, hiking or biking the miles of trails located throughout the area.
The cabin has DIRECTV satellite reception (NFL Sunday Ticket in the Fall), High Speed Wireless DSL Internet access is available, and a washer and dryer in a separate room next to the kitchen.
The great room has a vaulted ceiling with lots of windows, permitting tons of light to flood the room, a stunning river rock gas fireplace (not in use in the summer months), a 36” flat screen TV and a DVD/VCR player, and access to the upper deck.
The lower deck is spacious with a sitting area, deck chairs and a 5 person Hot Tub which overlooks the river. There are stairs for access to the river where you will find a firepit for roasting marshmallows.
The upper deck wraps around to the front and has a gas BBQ grill and picnic table for outdoor dining. |
