Miles of quiet beaches for walking and shell collecting. The beach is protected by a reef, making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling. We don't have the undertow that Sunset Beach has and we don't have the jellyfish found at the beaches in Laie. This is truly a special area of the islands, remote yet only a short drive into the world famous surf town of Haleiwa, and just a 45-minute drive to the excitement of Honolulu and Waikiki. The cottage is located on a private, residential road, away from the traffic and congestion of Waimea and Sunset Beaches.
This lovely guest cottage on a gated beachfront lot is shared with the owners' home. There is an enclosed outdoor hot shower and toilet (in addition to the 1-1/2 bath in the cottage) for your convenience. Comfortably furnished with beautiful landscaping, and only steps to the quiet, secluded, sandy beach in this very quiet residential neighborhood on a private road.
Watch whales, turtles, reef fish, or go snorkeling in shallow water that covers the coral reefs. And at the right time of year you can watch the sun set over the ocean.
From this location it is a short drive to Kaena Point where one can take a "short" 3 mile walk to see the Albatross Preserve. Polo games are played next to the beach at Dillingham (seasonally on Sundays) where you can listen to live music after the game, while watching the sun go down. Or head up to Waimea Falls and Waimea Bay to watch the surfers when surf season arrives.

No parties or camping are permitted in order to insure the quiet and tranquil ambiance of this unusual setting.

The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
The beach is truly beautiful and great for swimming and snorkeling. Large sea turtles can be seen bobbing near the reef year-round. In the winter, we see whales on the horizon. We do not have a dangerous undertow like Sunset Beach or jelly fish like Laie Beach. It is truly one of the best beaches on Oahu.
