LOCATION
The house is located in the historical centre of Sevilla on Calle Virgen de la Luz, which is a peaceful residential street without car traffic. The area is full of tapas bars, restaurants, and gift shops. This street is situated within a block of Plaza Pilatos and adjacent to the Santa Cruz neighborhood. 10 minutes walking thru the old Jewish Quarter takes you to the Cathedral, Giralda, Alcazar Palace, the main tourist attractions. Seville´s shopping area ( Sierpes, Tetuán, O´Donell, .......) is directly adjacent. All of Seville´s points of interest are within easy walking distance. 10 minutes walk to University of Seville.
DESCRIPTION
18th century sevillian style house, totally restored in 2006, but keeping the style and many of the original details (tiles, iron, wood ceilings….) with modern upgrades. The first floor entryway with original tiles opens into a small patio sevillano with skylight and stairway. The living room with fireplace, dining room, fully equipped kitchen and a powder room surround the patio sevillano. The second floor has a master bedroom, a second bedroom (both with wood floors, built in armoires and large double beds), a large bathroom suite, and a balcony over the patio. The bedrooms open out onto Juliet balconies. The third floor contains a third bedroom with a double bed, and a large private terrace (40meters). The house is quite with a lot of light.

Very nice centrally located house. Our family enjoyed Sevilla and the house was perfect for us. We would definately recommend the place.

Well equiped, beautifully remodeled and decorated home. The location was perfect. The street was so small no cars would fit, so it was also quiet. You could walk to many excellent restaurants and evening activities. The house was spotless, yet comfortable. I would definitely recommend it to friends. I'd recommend taking a taxi from the train station and having the owners meet you one block from the house and walk you to the house.

Our party of five stayed in the Casa Sevillana in September 2010. We had a decent stay, but, as with other VRBO properties in which we’ve stayed, some of the descriptions are a little outdated or optimistic, given the price charged per night. Pluses: Super location – a real neighborhood ideal for daily bread, sightseeing, shopping or tapas crawling - very accurate in the listing.Very pleasant and responsive owners. Plenty of good quality towels for all. Very comfortable beds. Bath and powder room all modern and very clean and work well. Minuses: Some parts of the house could use a real cleaning versus a pick-up between guests: Dusty closets, fusty-smelling bedcovers, dingy upholstery in LR covered with throws (didn't quite match the photo), and grimy kitchen cupboard fronts and kitchen bin. The ‘fully equipped kitchen’ would have been difficult to do real cooking in due to missing some basic items (like oven-proof containers) so we had to be inventive in heating up take-away at those times when we wanted to eat in. The appliances are in their last decade of wear and the DR chairs sag; one collapsed during our stay. While the top 2 floors are very hot and glarey, the bottom 2 floors are very dark and very dimly lit (hard to read a map); we needed a lamp even during the day, and had to keep the windows closed at night due to very noisy neighbors.
Owner response:I'm a little confused about this review as we take our responsability to provide a clean, confortable home away from home for our usually well traveled guests at a reasonable price. This is our one and only rental property and we have had nothing but compliments. There are a number of inacuracies or complete falsehoods. First at all, the house does not have 4 floors, it has 3 total. The houses in the historical center of Seville (as in all mediterranean countries) are darker on the first floor due to the narrow streets designed intentionally centuries ago when A/C didn't exist to avoid the direct sun. The house actually has 4 windows because it sits on the corner. No doubt we all hope to get nickles for pennies, but the price of the house is very reseanable, and I would say inexpensive since it is actually one of the few entire houses for vacation rental available in the historical center. The house is deeply cleaned and all linens changed for each guest. If in the rush of a very close check in/out, such as in this case, and considering that this family requested to check in 5 hours early due to the gruelling transatlantic flight, if some cleaning issues were not addressed, we would appreciate the courtesy of a phone call (provide our business and home phone numbers). The kitchen is fully equipped, but if there is something missing or you don't find it, please ask!. The "last century appliances" were all purchased at the same time this kitchen was remodeled ( 3 and 1/2 years ago) and we can provide receipts. The house is exactly as shown on the pictures, which has been taken by myself. We constantly work to improve the accomodation for our guests, and appreciate any suggestions that guests kindly give us. We have a 90% yearly occupancy rate due in part to recomendations from previous guests.
