Nestled in the Rocky Mountains, Casa del Sol is the perfect place to experience all the Roaring Fork Valley has to offer. This spacious, sunny cottage with vaulted ceilings hidden away among six private acres on Four Mile Creek is available for daily (2 night minimum), weekly or monthly rentals. If you are looking for a quiet retreat amidst beautiful surroundings – you can wake up every morning to a breathtaking view of Mt. Sopris. If you are hoping to experience the mountain town life - Casa del Sol is uniquely located between Glenwood Springs and Sunlight Mountain Resort – each a five mile drive away along Four Mile Creek. Carbondale is also 20 minutes away via the scenic route over dry park road. Casa del Sol is fully furnished complete with a private balcony and covered parking.
Casa del Sol has an open and spacious floorplan. While it is technically a studio, the 600+ square feet (plus a loft) make it a comfortable place for couples or families. From the living area, double doors open directly onto your private balcony where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful view of Mount Sopris. The king bed (complete with high quality linens) is in an alcove. The full bathroom and walk in closet are separate and private from the rest of the living space.
Please note that Casa del Sol does not have air conditioning. Most of the people we know in the area don't have AC, as the nights are usually very cool and comfortable here in the mountains.
You will arrive at Casa del Sol by turning off of scenic Four Mile Road, going over the creek, and entering 6 acres of private land. Our house is also on the property, and therefore we will be available to answer any questions and show you around.

Summer:
For the outdoors enthusiast, this is paradise. Hiking, mountain biking, road biking, fly fishing, white water rafting are all within a few miles. You can explore the mountain towns of Glenwood Springs (ten minutes away) or meander up valley to Redstone and Aspen (40 minutes).
Autumn:
Colorado puts on a breathtaking display of Fall Colors each year, and the Roaring Fork Valley is a destination for watching the Aspens turn. Venture as near as your balcony or as far as the famous Maroon Bells (one hour away) to enjoy the beauty.
Winter:
Choose your adventure: downhill or cross country skiing, snow shoeing, or relaxing in the healing waters of the Hot Springs Pool - all within easy reach of Casa Del Sol. Ski Sunlight is just five miles up the road, Vail and Aspen less then an hour away.

- Casa Del Sol is located along Four Mile Creek, five miles from Glenwood Springs. As you continue up the road, Ski Sunlight is another five miles away. In the winter this is an ideal family ski resort, with surrounding cross country and snow shoe trails. You can enter into BLM land, and drive to Four Mile Park- offering snowmobile trails and sledding hills. In the summer, the hike up Ski Sunlight is beautiful and quiet - you will often find yourself the only one there. Four Mile Park offers countless dirt roads to explore by foot, jeep or bike.

My sister and I snowshoe near Sunlight and we found Elizabeth and Mark's Casa del Sol cozy, clean and convenient. Close to the mountain and Glenwood, this location is near perfect. The cabin is very clean and spacious, excellent balcony views, easy road access (well maintained) with modern furniture and a great TV. The best part of this experience were the owner's, Mark and Elizabeth are very warm and kind but never intrusive. You never feel as if you are living in someone else's home, you are made to feel as if it is your own. You will never be sorry you rented this cabin or that you met this couple. Highly recommend!!

What a wonderful place to stay. We are older and appreciate the quiet, the beautiful valley outside the window or from the deck, and the convenient location far enough away from town to feel secluded, but close enough to enjoy Glenwood, Aspen, Redstone and the whole Roaring Fork valley. You can walk or bike right from your front door, or drive a few miles to Ski Sunlight and a whole forest of trails and scenery. And best of all -- no crowds!!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a quiet place to spend a romantic week in Glenwood Springs and get away from the stresses of everyday life. Casa del Sol was the perfect place to stay!!! The owners are very helpful and friendly, and just next door if you need anything. (We locked ourselves out the first night haha). The location of the place is off the beaten trail so you won't feel like you're in tourist-hell. Even though it feels as if you're hidden out on the mountain side, the area is very approachable and a very short drive to town. (We visited in December, and the owner advised that we use a four-wheel drive vehicle...this was definitely a must!) We got to see deer right outside the doorstep as well! The studio was great for us because we didn't need a lot of space or privacy. The entire place is open (except the bathroom of course). The kitchen is a great size and fully equipped which was perfect because we love to cook! The bed was heavenly comfortable as well...I had a hard time getting up! Casa del Sol is also perfect for a small family who doesn't require much privacy as there is a couch in the living room that folds out into a bed and another bed upstairs in the open loft. Our favorite part about the place is the windows! We definitely learned why they named it "Casa del Sol". The entire place is filled with large windows that let in great amounts of light and allow for beautiful views! I often laid in bed just staring out the windows at the mountains! (There are blinds though, just in case). Great place! Great location! Great people!

Our stay was awesome! This was my family’s first trip to the mountains. The location was great, far enough away from the town to where we experienced the mountain life but close enough to run to Safeway in a pinch. We did not have the pleasure of meeting the owners but we unofficially meet the dogs, they were great and friendly. The hot springs added the relaxation we had hoped for. Casa Del Sol was everything they wrote. It was cozy, comfortable and extremely clean. The patio view was the best, Thank you!

LOVED our stay! It's a wonderful hideaway for a couple or small family. Super clean and nice personal touches. The location is perfect and the owners couldn't be nicer. All of their tips and recommendations were spot on. For dinner be sure to visit Juicy Lucys. And breakfast at Village Smittys was great. Check the hot springs website to be sure they aren't closed for maintenance when you go. Overall, it was one of our favorite trips and we've traveled alot. Thank you!

Casa Del Sol gets you away from the hustle & bustle of Glenwood Springs. Appreciated the great view of Mt. Sopris. Many areas to explore, take a hike or view mother nature in it's finest state.

Casa del Soul is a great little place for a relaxing getaway. It is a cute little studio in a great location halfway between Glenwood Springs & Sunlight Mountain. My wife and I actually stayed there for a few days on our honeymoon in January. The owners are very friendly, laid back and helpful.
