Best place to stay in Washington, Hands down!

This house is wonderful, the owner is super nice and very accommodating. We were in the process of moving across country and needed a place to stay while the movers packed us up and while we finished some things around town. While we could have stayed at a hotel, we prefer having more room to spread out for our family of 4. The house was so clean and well organized. It had everything you could possibly need and more. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked, and the location was fabulous. The only complaint I had (and its a small one) is that there is no TV in the living room. However, there are TV's in each bedroom, so that worked out just fine. Thanks again for a fabulous stay! We will be recommending you to everyone we know and every military member that needs a place to stay when its time to move.

Thanksgiving at Fern Hollow

Our family met at Fern Hollow for Thanksgiving week with our Navy son. The house was perfect in every way and we had a magical Thanksgiving week. The listing was 100% accurate, the property was clean and well maintained, the owner was a delight to work with and my family plans to return to Fern Hollow when we visit our son again! Thanks for providing such a wonderful home. The space for a family gathering is private and the closets are perfect for suitcases, dressing rooms. We could not have been more pleased.

Our home away from home is exactly what Fern Hollow felt like to us. I can't say enough about the house or the owners. This stay was well beyond our expectations. Our family of 7 met in Bremerton for a week of site seeing and hiking through Seattle, Mt Rainier, Hurricane Ridge, The Hoh Rain Forest, Forks, La Push and then up to the San Juans so we were ready at the end of our long days for comfort and relaxation and that's what we found at "home". The house itself is immaculate and has lots of nice extra's.The bedding extremely comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for those big seafood dinners we cooked after loading up at Pike's Place Market. I also have to mention that tub!!!! A lot of sore muscles were very happy with that tub. The property is in a very quiet neighborhood...the only sound we heard was a friendly coyote in the hills and an owl at night. The view at the top of the street is spectacular with the mountains in the distance and its located very close to the highway and everything you would need as far as shopping, restaurants and gas. The ferry to Seattle is about a 10 minute drive and if you happen to miss it as we did there is plenty to do nearby.The Naval Museum is a treat to see and there are a few new restaurants popping up near the ferry to keep you busy while you wait for the next one. All in all we had a perfect week and Fern Hollow will always be one of our best stays in Washington. Dezera couldn't have been more kind and even called to check on us during the week to see if we needed anything or had questions. You don't often find that when renting a vacation property. My husband and I traveled to Kitsap Peninsula for our daughter's wedding in July, 2011. We stayed at Fern Hollow for a month, and we had a wonderful experience. The house was comfortable and well equipped. It had many lovely and quaint custom details... we especially loved the lighted cut outs on the eaves, which were so charming and inviting. All of the beds were so comfortable; I have never slept better! There was plenty of storage room for extra clothes and luggage, and the kitchen was suitable and well laid-out, with a big dining room table for hosting our dinners. Fern Hollow had all we needed: ample parking for our guests, and my family used the lovely aggregate patio nearly every day, except when it rained. this vacation home was absolutely ideal for our needs. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and it is a good location if you are going to do things on Kitsap Peninsula. Dezera and Eric were so accomodating! They are delightful hosts, and we would definitely stay there again.

My sisters and I enjoyed our yearly vacation at Fern Hollow. What a great place to use as a base for our daily treks. We were very comfortable - it was just like being at home. The Olympic Mountains were awesome, lunch in the Space Needle was fabulous, we drove up to the tulip fields and they were so beautiful when we were there, The Seattle Underground was an interesting tour, Mt. Ranier was also wonderful although when we drove up we weren't able to go up as far as we would have liked due to the snow and weather, but nevertheless, we were in awe of all we were able to see. Dezera was very helpful and to say the least, we truly enjoyed our stay.

My sisters and I just returned from Fern Hollow where we spent a week. The house was spacious and homey all at once. The attention to detail that went into the construction of this custom built home was obvious, and Dezera couldn't have been more accommodating throughout the process. Though it isn't as close to Seattle as we had originally thought, it turned out to be a good thing since there were places north of the house that we wanted to visit. It was close enough to the major highways that we found it to be a good base from which to explore Washington State. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful Place

Our family went to see our son who is in the Navy stationed in Bremerton. We found this to be an absolutely lovely home, very comfortable, spacious and relaxing. We were able to accomodate large gatherings for dinner without any problem. Dezera was very easy to work with and did her best to accomodate our needs. We were very close to the mall, grocery stores and the ferry to Seattle. It worked out perfectly. We even had amazingly good weather for the first week of April! Thank you Dezera and Erik!

We stayed at Fern Hollow before and after our wedding, and it was perfect!! The owner was very gracious and welcoming, and we felt at home from the minute we walked in. We would recommend this house to anyone that wants a place to stay that is central to everything, is clean, warm and comfortable, not to mention beautifully decorated. Very accurate listing, photos do the locale nor the interior any justice. This home is one I would want to live in on a permanent basis, it was so lovely. The lot is well maintained (save a backyard that needs a mow, but who's doesn't?) The owner(s) were wonderful! They were thoughtful, concise and honest about the property, its ammentities and caring in their descrption and little touches around the house to make you feel more at home and ease you into staying there. The ammenties were plenty and throughout the home, thoughtful touches such as the brochures and "favorites" booklet, little notes to help guide you to where and how to turn things, off, on, and for emergencies. Extra everything and the house was extremely clean and beautifully decorated in a wooodsy/northwest decor. I was able to entertain twelve plus family members with no problem, reach the local sites in a timely manner and use it as a "basecamp" more than effectively when spending a full day out exploring. The locale is central between Silverdale and Bremerton while still having that 'in the woods' feel to it. Even the visiting neighbor dogs and cats were friendly. I would reccomend this rental property to everyone and their pets...but since I want to use it again and frequently, I am almost afraid to let the secret slip out! Again, thank you for being so flexible with our staying plans and we will see you next year if not sooner!

Two families traveling together just spent a week at Fern Hollow in Bremerton and had a great experience. The house was comfortable and well equipped. The house itself was very interesting and full of surprises and details. All of the beds were lovely, plenty of room for clothes, a big dining room table...it had all we needed, except a weather machine to make it stop raining! We didn't get to enjoy the house much more than breakfast and sleeping for all the sightseeing we did, we put on 1100 miles! It was a good location if you are going to do things west of this area! Thanks Dezera for the lovely stay at Fern Hollow!

Fern Hollow is absolutely wonderful in every way! What a delight to turn into the driveway and see the house surrounded by trees, ferns, and lovely landscaping - such a natural setting! The house is charming - the owners went out of their way to provide the best experience for their guests. I came here to visit my Navy son and fell in love with the area. The house is centrally located for all you would want to do. Make a resveration! I promise you - you will not want to leave :) The perfect getaway from the daily routine - a tranquil place to relax and unwind. I am still here and not ready to leave!

Everything was perfect, we had such a great time and the house was lovely. We had a party for my grandson and some of the people were so impressed with the house that they were thinking of renting it for relatives that were coming for a wedding next summer. Hopefully they will. Dezra was wonderful and my family loved her. I didn't get to meet her but we talked on the phone and she was very nice and accomodating. I would highly recommend this house to anyone.

Warm, Cozy and Quaint Place to Stay

The pictures and supporting information only touched the surface of how lovely, cozy, well maintained, and welcoming the property really was. Everything was 100% accurate but the ammenities far outweighed what we anticipated from the details on the website. Our first trip to the grocery store required only the purchasing of food items as a result of how the property was set up as a turn key operation. Down to spices, coffee, sugar, tea, creamer, laundry detergent, paper towels, bath soap, popcorn, etc. which was a significant cost savings as well as convenience for us coming into town from the state of Georgia from the Seatac Airport. We were celebrating my father's 90th birthday and needed several bedrooms to help accommodate ourselves as well as my daughter and brother. I sponsored a wine tasting with a large group of friends from High School which was a great hit! Everything here was truly a first class operation!

Fern Hollow

Spent a most enjoyable and restful one week on the Olympic Peninsula in the center of the Kitsap County. All accommodations and amenities were exactly as described. Everything was clean and well maintained. The very congenial owner lives nearby. She met us and showed us around. The atmosphere was qiet and peaceful in a woodsy area, but within a short drive to shopping centers and restaurants. A car is a must. We enjoyed visiting nearby towns like Poulsbo, Port Orchard, and Port Townsend. Also took a round-trip ferry to Seattle to see the sights. Came back home to San Diego well rested, and are already planning our next return. We would definitely recommend this property to friends.

Fern Hollow is Beautiful!

Fern Hollow is lovely in the photos but pictures can't convey how truly beautiful it is. The house is large and nearly new, built in a quiet, wooded setting with few neighbors nearby. The rooms are spacious but designed to create a comfortable, warm environment. The owners have made it feel like a home, cozy yet elegant. The decorations are delightful and add a whimsical, fun touch. The house was exceptionally clean and warm. The lights and heat were already turned on before we arrived, which was nice on a cold day. Everything we needed was already there so we never left the house. Consequently, we did not see much of the surrounding area, although they have numerous brochures about nearby activities and attractions. The owners were most pleasant to work with and we highly recommend you call them if you are looking for a place to stay in the Puget Sound area.
