This cabin is a gem in the woods! Everything exceeded our expectations. The pictures on the website don't do it justice. Wendy has REALLY made this a home away from home. The cabin is stocked with anything and everything you may need. The decor with the Bears and Moose are adorable and done with class...nothing cheesy. If you want a view in a cabin, this is it. You can see Yonah mountain directly in from of you from the master bed. Incredible. The hot tub was wonderful as well. Can't say enough good things about Yonah Lodge. Wendy was incredible to work with. She was very accomodating.

Perfect Romantic Getaway with Husband Home on Leave from Deployment!

I have stayed at many places, but this cabin was just wonderful. The detail to decoration and cleanliness was extreme! The owner was organized and thorough in her communications. She sent all the info we needed well in advance. In the cabin was a HUGE book containing local menus, attraction details, local churches...just everything you woud think about doing. Much better than the yellow pages!! Access was easy to main roads and only 10 minutes from downtown Helen. My husband was home on 10 days leave from deployment and we needed a stress free few days away from family and friends. We went hiking at Anna Ruby Falls and Vogel - both nearby! The hot tub was amazing and very soothing! I can't say enough!! I am going to recommend this cabin to everyone at my job! Thanks so much! Book this cabin and be worry-free!

Our family stayed in this beautiful cabin over spring break. Wendy was wonderful to work with! She provided everything you could think of to make it a home away from home. Relaxing in the hot tub with a perfect mountain view was a great way to end the day. We will deffinately book again soon.

This is a fabulous cabin with gorgeous mountain views during the day and endless stars to gaze at from the hot tub at night. We loved the bear theme decor. My mom, sisters, and I had a wonderful girls weekend together. The cabin is tucked away on a mountainside, yet close to all kinds of fun activities, restaurants, and shopping. I use VRBO usually a few times a year and was very pleased with our total experience. Wendy is very accommodating and was a pleasure to deal with. Thanks, Wendy, for helping my family have a weekend we'll always remember.

Yonah mountain

My son and his wife, my wife and myself brought in the new year at Yonah cabin.Don't let the word cabin decieve you one bit though. The outside may have looked cabin style, but the inside was "just like home" and more. My wife could not quit commenting on how the home was so beautifully decorated and matched together. I am the cook in the family, and I again , throughly enjoyed cooking on a gas stove. Starting from the outside; the deck was beautiful, very pet friendly as well, hot tub was great on the chilly evenings. Kitchen was wonderfully and fully furnished with every style of pot and pan, kitchen utensils in abundance, diswasher!!! granite counter tops!!!! Everything you would need. Bathrooms, nice showers, hot water , towels, all we had to bring was our toothbrush. Bedrooms, very comfortable beds, roomy. The loft bedroom with a sitting area, was great for a getaway to read a book in quite while others watched football. Gas fireplace that warmed our spirits and our feet, and was quite convient. I could go on. Quite area, good parking. Could not have asked for a better place to stay. For anyone looking for a great getaway, this is it. We stayed 7 days and almost didn't want to come home.

Rest and Family Fun

My husband and I just returned from a week at Yonah View and are finding it very difficult to get back in the swing of things. This was the most relaxing vacation we have had in years! The cabin has everything you need and everything is top quality. We made the mistake of thinking we had to bring specialty food items from home and then found the local Ingles grocery store was more that sufficient to satisfy our palets. So leave your cooler at home. We definately will return. The rest of our family rented a cabin just a short walk thru the woods. We had luxury and privacy and could get together with family easily. A perfect solution. A perfect place to stay.

Beautiful lodge in gorgeous setting, outstanding hospitality!

All of our family had a wonderful time at this lodge and we look forward to staying again. The lodge is modern and well equipped with everything you need. It is spacious and nicely decorated throughout. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless. Our kids (ages 13 to 17) particularly enjoyed the TV (had to watch game 7 of the World Series) and the board games provided. Also available was a dvd library of about 20 or so movies to choose from. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils, cookware and dishes one would need to prepare and eat a meal. The appliances are modern and there is a dishwasher provided. There are even small appliances provided that you would not expect, such as a griddle, a coffee bean grinder and a food processor. There were some spices, seasonings for grilling and other things available for us to use in the cupboards. Details like that, along with other things I noticed, communicated to me that our host cared that we had a wonderful time while we were there and that we felt at home. We visited Yonah view lodge in late October and the evenings were a bit chilly, but we were warm and toasty inside the cabin. There were plenty of additional blankets, but we didn't need them because we were able to set the thermostat to our desired temperature. There is a gorgeous and unobstructed view of Mt. Yonah from inside the lodge and from the deck. There are plenty of places inside and outside to sit down with a cup of coffee or tea and read or just enjoy the view. As for the surrounding area, there were a few neighboring cabins, but none so close that we saw or heard much from them. The lodge was not far from a highway, though you couldn't tell you were that close while at the cabin ( no traffic sights or sounds at all.)There were small towns within 5 miles in either direction to pick up groceries or go out for a meal. One of the towns had several small shops to browse through. Yonah view lodge is a lovely place and I would recommend it to my family and friends. Everything was clean and well maintained. Another reviewer stated that the photos of this listing do not do it justice and I would agree! It went beyond what I was expecting and even my kids were wowed with this place. You can tell that the owner enjoys sharing this cabin with others and wants guests to feel welcome and at home here.

College Reunion Getaway

We enjoyed staying at the Yonah View so much, it was hard to go to the activities at our college reunion. None of us wanted to leave. It was equipped with much more than we needed, very well maintained. It made us all think about selling our homes and moving to a cabin in the mountains. We definitely hope to go back as soon as possible.

Perfect Place to Stay in the Georgia mountains

If you are looking for a place to stay in the Helen, GA area, search no more! This cabin can't be beat! The owner is very responsive and easy to work with. The cabin is beautiful and immaculate. It is exactly as pictured, and even better in person. It is nicely decorated in a mountain cabin theme and is very cozy and comfortable. We felt right at home---it's like going to a good friend's or family member's home. The cabin is stocked with everything you need and more for your stay. The owner has an extensive info binder full of local info on things to do, menus, state parks maps of the area, etc. We especially enjoyed coming back to the hot tub on the deck after a long day of hiking. The view from the cabin of Mt. Yonah is gorgeous and can be enjoyed from every room. The cabin is tucked away in the woods with lots of privacy yet just a few miles to all that Helen has to offer. The location is close to great hiking in the nearby state parks and national forests. We really recommend Brasstown Bald (highest peak in GA) and Tallulah Falls State Park--an amazing gorge in the mountains. Both are a short drive from the cabin. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone and would return in a heartbeat. The owner really cares about her property and guests. She has put a lot of herself into it and it shows and makes huge difference in your rental experience.

We have never stayed in a vacation rental that compares to Yonah View Lodge! Great location with breathtaking views! Wendy, the owner has added so many personal touches that you feel right at home. I have rented many cabins over the last eleven years in the Georgia and N.C. Mountains, and they have often been decorated in a "bear theme". The pictures don't do the cabin justice! This cabin rates a"10" in my opinion, with it's view for the area of Mount Yonah, a professionally decorated bear theme throughout, and an owner who has thought of everything in desiring to please her guests (she has really gone the extra mile)! This rather new looking, spotless, and well-stocked cabin is near waterfalls, wineries, great shopping, good food, rivers for tubing and kayaking, and crystal clear lakes for swimming and boating. Bravo to the owner for a good time!!!

You won't want to leave. My best friend and I had talked about checking out the waterfalls and wineries etc near Helen for some time. We found Wendy's cabin, and were so thrilled we chose to stay here. The hot tub has a gorgeous view of Mt Yonah, and its just 7 mins to Helen and 12 Mins to the wineries. We both have dogs, and were able to bring them along (nice added touch - gated deck), so you can relax and let them enjoy the outdoors with you! Nice yard, Gorgeous landscaping, fantastic views... and so well stocked!!!!! I have never been to a cabin which was as nicely stocked with the vitals ... very organized, and well kept. We are planning another trip back soon! I have stayed at many cabins in the North GA area, as we have to periodically restock our North GA wine supplies (LOL), and we just love the area. Tube the Hooch if you get the chance it's a complete blast! Wendy, thanks again! We loved your place! It felt like a home away from home (just nicer).

We stayed at Yonah View Lodge in early June. This was our first time renting a cabin, so we weren't sure what to expect. What an excellent experience! The cabin was perfect: beautifully furnished with loads of rustic touches, spotless, thoughtfully stocked. The location was excellent: We were minutes from Helen, a short drive from other wonderful towns and recreational areas in North Georgia. The view from the cabin is magnificent---we enjoyed watching the sun set behind Mt Yonah. I cannot say enough about the cabin... perhaps a good summary is to say that we didn't feel like renters, we felt as if we were visiting the home of a gracious friend. Our family includes our 3-year old daughter and our 12-year old Labrador retriever---the cabin was perfect for them, as well. The owner was responsive, thoughtful, and a joy to work with. We will definitely return to this lovely home away from home. Thank you, Wendy!

We had a truly relaxing time at your place and have both come to the conclusion that we don't need to look any further. This is where we will stay whenever we need a quick get away weekend without the hassle of driving too far. Fantastic Cabin - Great Location

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful cabin to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday. This cabin is the nicest cabin we have ever rented in the mountains. Not only is it beautiful, clean and in a great location but it has every amenity you can think of. The owner has furnished this cabin with a lot of TLC and it is like staying in a home, not a rental. From the many pictures on the wall to the throws on the couches, there are many little extras to make it feel like home. The view is great from the porch and sitting in the hot tub at night and watching the stars in the sky was one of the many highlights of our trip. There is a lot to do in the area. On this trip we spent time at Brasstown Bald, Dahlonega, Helen and just relaxing at the cabin. We definitely plan to go back. If you want to visit the Helen area, this is the place to stay!

Mountain Weekend

We had a great 3 day weekend at the cabin. The location was perfect for trips to Helen and Cleveland Georgia. We enjoyed a trip to the Babyland Hospital to see the Cabbage Patch dolls and a riverside meal at the Troll Tavern in Helen. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and taking in the great view of Yonah Mountain. The cabin was very roomy, clean, fully furnished and had everything someone would want for a vacation. This cabin was more fully stocked with supplies and other needed items than any house or condo we have ever rented. It had dishware, cooking utensils, cleaning supplies,etc--even first aid and sewing kits. The house was beautifully decorated--we have never seen so many cute uses of bear items!! The owner provided a lot of helpful information about how to get to the cabin, area attractions, directions for using the grill and hot tub, etc. I would highly recommend this property to a friend or relative. We look forward for a return trip.

My families trip to Yonah View Lodge was very relaxing. Thats what I really went for. The kids loved walks in the woods, tubing, falls near by, hike to Brasstown Bald. I enjoyed the easy and relaxing feeling of the cabin itself. Almost everything you could possibly need was supplied. I would recommend this cabin for a small family. It is secluded but near enough to the sites to be enjoyable.Our week turned out to be unusually hot weather, but the air worked great. Owner very nice and answered all questions promptly. This cabin is very clean, well maintained, well stocked and offers an incredible view of Yonah Mtn. The entire family enjoyed the hot tub on the deck. Kids particularly liked the telescope in the loft. It was a short weekend trip but the setting provided immediate relaxation. We had a great time tubing on the river. The property manager was very personable and helpful. We definitely will return for a longer stay as soon as possible.

This cabin is actually the cleanest, well-equipped cabin I have ever stayed at! The view from the deck was absolutely gorgeous. You have a great view of Mt. Yonah from the side deck with the wonderful hot tub. The front porch deck is covered and you have a wonderful wooded view. You cannot go wrong with booking this cabin. It is easily accessible from the highway, but yet secluded. Everything you need is in the kitchen for cooking. The beds are comfy and the owner was a delight to deal with. I would definitely book this cabin again. Beautiful!

Yonah View Lodge was one of the most well equipped cabins I have ever rented in the N GA mountains. It had just about any type of kitchen equipment you could ask for (coffee grinder, pancake griddle), many helpful maps, books and guides to the area, and a good supply of board games and DVDs. Towels and linens were ample and of good quality. The open plan layout of the cabin was perfect for two couples or a family with children. It is also dog friendly and has a gated outdoor porch where dogs can hang out with their owners, as well as a nice outdoor eating area and a hot tub with a view of Mt. Yonah. The cabin is about 6 miles outside Helen, making it convenient to Unicoi Park and Nacoochee Village. Owner is responsive and friendly. Highly recommend.

Best Cabin I have ever Rented

First of all, let me say that I have rented approx. 20 cabins through my lifetime. This cabin is the best by far and I mean that. The cabin was in impeccable shape, it was clean, well organized, great amenities. The views of Mt Yonah are spectacular. The wrap around deck is fantastic, you can enjoy your cabin in both rain and shine. The kitchen is fantastic with granite counter tops and let me tell you, this cabin had every utinsel you coul imagine. They even had coffee/tea and all of the condiments available. You just can't go wrong with this place. We will be back for sure....

My Fiance and I stayed in this cabin for 7 nights and we loved every minute of it. The cabin was beautifully decorated and well appointed. I like to cook and everything that you could possibly need was provided from the waffle iron to gourmet knives. The cabin was secluded enough to feel like you were in the wilderness but close to everything. I will definitely be back for another visit. You can't beat the view from the balcony. We spent hours just sitting on the deck looking out over Yonah Mountain. There are no big cities nearby and that means no light pollution. We had an excellent view of the stars and sky at night. I also appreciated all the literature that was in the cabin. It really helped us explore the surrounding area and get a feel for the history of Helen. If you stay at this cabin the hike to Anna Ruby falls and Unicoi state park are a must.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Cabin. The cabin was very clean and neat. The kitchen was very well equipped with all the utensils we needed and so was the bathrooms. Would definately recommend this cabin to our family and friends.

I can only confirm what all the other positive reviews say. The cabin is beautifully furnished and in a very pretty and peaceful location. The views are wonderful and you truly feel as if you could stay for longer. The cabin is full of many extras which make your stay even more relaxing. We hope to return soon. Thank you Wendy!

My family stayed in this cabin during Thanksgiving -this cabin is more beautiful than the pictures. Everything has been thought of right down to the first aid kit ... will recommend to all my friends.

The Cabin was absolutely beautiful with a magnificenttly "homey" feel. The view was majestic and the pictures do not do it justice. The decorating really brings the cabin to life and the kitchen is undescribable. I greatly appreciated all the maps and and brochures and whether you stay a week or a weekend there will be no shortage of activities to enjoy. We will certainly return.

What a find!!!! We have rented many cabins over the years, and this cabin is BY FAR the nicest, most comfortable, most well-equipped and nicely decorated cabin we have ever been in. It truly felt like a home away from home and that we were welcome and expected guests in first class accomodations (as opposed to other cabins where we felt like squatters using someone else's stuff!). I can't recommend Yonah View Lodge highly enough!

We had an absolutely delightful time spent at Yonah View Lodge and nearby Helen. The cabin was stunning--so clean, comfortable, and decorated beautifully. We relaxed in the hot tub, grilled out, and explored the town. Wendy opened up her vacation home to us with great hospitality. We've already told 3 people that they need to vacation here! We'll be back, too.

Yonah View lodge is probably the best cabin we've ever stayed in. None of us wanted to leave and some of us were already planning a return trip even before we left. What makes this cabin stand out from the rest are: Cleanliness - the cabin was remarkably clean from top to bottom. Interior Design - The cabin had class and elegance everywhere yet was still fun and playful with bears around every corner. The attention to details was amazing. Location - We were close to everything and yet still felt tucked into the woods. The View - It was still peak foliage when we went and the view of Yonah mountain was just amazing. All the windows in the cabin reminded us of the nature that was all around us. Gourmet kitchen! - We are big foodies and we love cooking. Normally we need to bring the entire kitchen with us to cabins but this cabin had it ALL! We could literally create any meal we wanted all we needed was the food! All family members welcome - Our dog, Rascal was so excited to be going on vacation with us. The gate on the deck was perfect for him and he was very comfortable and so were we. Amenities - Everything your looking for is here, TV's in the bedrooms and living room, huge hot tub, beautiful fireplace, and lush comfortable furniture. From top to bottom this cabin was first class. This is not just a rental cabin, it felt like we were guest's in someone's home. It was warm, comfortable, elegant, and top notch. We can't wait to return!

Wendy, Your cabin is beautiful. My wife and I were thrilled at every turn upon our arrival. The covered porch with its inviting Appalachian rockers guided us past the cozy bistro nook, and then to an expansive deck with a postcard view of Yonah Mountain! We spent hours in that hot tub, soaking up the autumn reds, golds and greens . . . what a wonderful view. Thank you so much. Inside the cabin, your attention to detail is everywhere. You could have named it “The Little Bear Lodge” or “The Big Moose Bathroom” or “The State-of-the-Art Kitchen” or “The Really Cool Gas Fireplace”. Everything that we touched reminded us of what a wonderful time we were having. Claire and I ended up making a joke of our complaint list . . . “We’re only staying for three days” was the best we could do. This cabin is absolutely beautiful! We couldn't ask for anything more. It was very relaxing, and the view of Yonah mountain is spectacular! Everything you need is in this cabin. The house is beautiful and so comfortable. We stayed in Helen many times but no other place has been this nice. It has everything you need and more. Not to mention the setting was also beautiful! The distance to Helen and surrounding areas is perfect. Wendy has been very accomodating and it has been a pleasure doing business.

We stayed at beautiful Yonah View with some friends and could not have had a better time. Pictures of rentals on the internet typically never look the way the actual property does, but in this case, the pictures definitely do not do justice. The cabin was our FAVORITE part of the trip. The view is beautiful, the amenities are outstanding and Wendy is great as well. Couldn't have asked for anything more! We will definitely frequent!

The Cabin is better than I expected it was like being in my own home everything we could need was provided even a bottle of wine which we enjoyed with the steaks we grilled out. I actually did not want to leave the Cabin and do the usual Tourist activities. My compliments to the caretakers the cabin was immaculate. We will definitly be returning.
