My boyfriend and I and our 2 medium sized dogs rented this condo over Christmas. The condo was very cute, exactly as described and had everything we needed. It was a short walk to the extremely clean, beautiful beach. The Barrier Dunes community is well kept and very dog friendly. Would definitley go back and recommend to others looking for a quiet, remote, dog friendly vacation spot. Lots of shells on the beach too!
Owner response:We appreciate these comments on our condo. We also love our condo, the Barrier Dunes community and Cape San Blas beaches. The area is truely unique in Florida. We are glad our guest had a great time and we look forward to them returning for another great vacation.

We spent a week during Christmas in Cape Blas this year. It was our first trip to the area. We found it to be uncrowded and very relaxing. Barrier Dunes is a neighborhood where the people we met were friendly and the area was very safe. The condo was spacious enough for our family with 3 children and our 2 dogs and it was just a short walk to the beach. We especially enjoyed the shells on the beach and visiting the State Park nearby. Cape San Blas is just what we were looking for and the condo suited us perfectly. It was well stocked and the owner was very helpful. We hope to be back in the area soon. We all voted the vacation a success! We would all highly recommend it.
Owner response:We are always happy to hear when guest have enjoyed our home, Barrier Dunes and the Cape as much as we do. We look forward to having you as a guest again in the future.

Close Enough was exactly the type of place that we were looking for. We have been to the Cape several times, but this was our first trip with our dog. The whole family really enjoyed our stay. The kids liked having both the pools and the ocean to play in, and they played in both everyday. Our dog loved the sand on the beach, but not the waves. The closeness to the state park was also great. My husband was able to take the kayak to the bay several times. The walk to the beach was short and easy. We found lots of pretty shells to bring home. The house was comfortable and had everything that we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We really enjoyed having the grill to cook shrimp, chicken, and pork chops on. The kids also enjoyed the loft and loved the spiral staircase. We hated to leave and hope to return soon.
Owner response:We always like to get feedback from our guest. We are very happy you found our home to your liking and that you had an enjoyable week . We look forward to hearing from you again.

We totally enjoyed our stay at "Close Enough" the last week of May. The place was perfect and very comfortable. The kids loved sleeping in the loft and when we weren't at the pool or the beach, they literally crashed up there, so my husband and I barely saw them (well sort of). The dog loved the beach! The walk to the beach is easy and the community is so nice, you really are Close Enough. We will defintely be back! As old Florida natives who moved away for work, it was very much like my husband and I remembered Florida when we grew up! Thank you!
Owner response:The Cape does have the old Florida feel which is one of the reasons we love the area. We are happy you liked our home as much as we do. We look forward to hearing from you again!

Me, my boyfriend and our 2 dogs loved this condo! Very clean, well maintained and stocked with everything we needed. The barrier dunes complex is beautiful and we are considering going there again for our next vacation! A very short walk to the beach, and the complex is located right outside of the St.Josephs state park entrance. We went snorkeling on the bay side in the park and saw puffer fish, stingrays, sea urchins and starfish. We loved the fact that the barrier dunes complex is dog friendly and we were able to take our dogs to the beach. The only downside was that we had to leave! The owners provided excellent customer service and we have already received our deposit back. I have already recommended this place to my dad and his fiance.
Owner response:It's always nice to hear that our guest were fully satisifed with thier stay. The Cape and Barrier Dunes is a special place and we hope you will stay with us again.

Nice complex, great location, well maintained unit, but very limited and tight parking. We'd definitely stay here again if there was a usable place to park our boat/trailer. We enjoyed our Christmas vacation here.
Owner response:We are always happy to hear from another satisfied guest and are glad that they liked our home. We agree that Close Enough is good enough. Boat parking in the complex is limited and has been a problem when multiple guest arrive with boats. I did not know you were bringing a boat or I would have suggested renting a primative campsite in the state park (5 minute drive) which is where the closest launch ramp is located. This allows you to park your boat adjacent to the launch ramp in an area that is patrolled and not accessable after dark as the park closes it's gates at dark. It also covers the daily park access fee that has to be paid each day if you launch your boat there when keeping it in the complex. It also means you don't have to haul it in and out of the complex each day. We hope to have you as a guest again in the future.

We had a great one week in September at Cape San Blas beach. Not only because of the lovely secluded beach and amazing nature around but the place – the “Serenity by the Sea “was just everything we could ask for A clean and well maintain town house - well stocked with beach stuff and cooking items. Everything you may need was present. Quiet kids and dog friendly .The beach was beautiful and our dog had a blast swimming and playing in the waves. Everyone we met was very nice and friendly. We would highly recommend this complex, town house and beach to friends and family. Special Thanks to the owners!!!
Owner response:We are happy you found our home satisfactory. We want our guest to feel 'at home' when they stay with us so they can enjoy the great setting. It is a unique area. We hope to have you as our guest again in the future and appreciate the care you took with our home. .

The house was just like the owner said, it was beautiful and 1 min from the ocean. The house had everything we needed from cooking utensils, an outdoor grill and all the little things (soap, paper towels etc) I lost track of how many times my friends said how fabulous the house, even Lukas the dog was impressed by the house and loved wondering all over the spacious house. The beach is the best I ever seen in Florida! The sand was so white and the water was sparkling an not crowded at all there was a pool that look out into the ocean which was really nice. The owner was great he answerd my e-mails immediately and returned my deposit promptly. Everything was like a dream come true!, I hope to go there again very soon Leonel Vacationed here from Sept 6-9, 2010
Owner response:We always enjoy having guests such as Leonel and his family. They even left our home so clean the cleaning service indicated they felt bad taking the cleaning fee (but they did!). We are happy when our guest find our home meets or exceeds their expectation. The area is unique and are glad Leonel thought so too. We hope to see Leonel and his family again!

We would highly recommend this complex, town house and beach to friends and family.

My husband, his fishing buddy, our two dogs and myself had a fabulous spring break at Barrier Dunes. This unit was clean and user friendly. The phone service came in handy as our cell phones did not work well on the Cape. Even better, we got to unplug for an entire week. The beach is literally a few steps away and the neighbors were friendly. Very laid back area, reminded me of the 'old' Florida where I grew up. We will definitely return to this area. My only complaint was the continuous lawn service, it seemed like every day there were mowers and blowers, but - that's what made everything look so nice! The pool was great on the beach and the beach - was gorgeous. Crystal clear water, white sand like powder, dolphins, rays, tons of wildlife. My husband fished St. Joseph's Bay and they caught everything imaginable. Great trip all around, would recommend to anyone!
