Hi Leila Just wanted you to know how much fun we had this weekend at your place. It is a very special home and the attention to detail and well appointed facilities (especially the kitchen) demonstrate clearly that you are owners who care about their investment and the experience of their guests. We had a great time. Plenty of beds, tons of room. Lots to do. And this weekend’s weather was a bonus! All pre-visit paperwork was clear and concise. Directions and clean-up instructions spot on. We are already talking about returning next year! Thanks again.

This Classic Oceanfront Manzanita Beach House had plenty of room for our family of 14 including 6 grandkids under the age of 8. The beach view was so incredible that we didn't mind the rain. I don't think I'll ever stay anywhere again without an ocean view! The kitchen was huge and easily allowed for everyone to help with dinner and dishes. The town of Manzanita is cute with lots to offer without it being too much. The kids loved playing on the beach and we were so close that we could travel back and forth between the beach and the house when we needed to. Thanks for sharing your home with us. We will be back.

It was the best vacation ever! Your home perfectly accomodates a large family with room for all of us. The kitchen was large enough for several cooks and we could put the children at the kid's table and adults gathering together. It was great to be so close to the beach and just cross the road, we could watch every child who had to go back and know where they were. It was quiet, clean, and the best was putting the children in the "tv room" to watch for a short time and the rest of us didn't have to hear anything. It's a lovely home, and we would definitely come again. Thank You!

My recent stay with friends at this property couldn't have been better. The home is very spacious, comfortable, cozy, and just feels like a real "home". The view cannot be beat. The entire front span of the home is all windows and ocean. The fireplace keeps the place warm and cozy and the large open dining room with huge table beckons for board games and hearty meals. The kitchen is very well stocked and very spacious. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are ample. The place was clean but not sterile feeling. Simply put: this home is a perfect place to gather friends and or family for a very relaxing, enjoyable, and comforting time. To top it all off, the owner was very responsive to questions, seemed to genuinely want our business, and for us to enjoy our stay. Clearly they treat this home and those they share it with as much more than a business. I truly respect people like Leila (the owner) who understand there is more to a bottom line than just the nightly rental income. I plan on returning again and wouldn't hesitate for a moment to refer anyone to enjoy this home. Thank you Leila!

Dear Leila, We had a wonderful time at your house. I liked how big it was, and how there was ample room for our two families (four plus three). Maybe it was the insulation, or maybe the sound of the ocean, but when we were in our bedroom we couldn't hear anyone else. And the beds were great! I also like how--though it was really bad weather--we could see the ocean from practically every room. I appreciated the big dining table and the huge kitchen. I also liked the white countertops so that once they were wiped down, the kitchen looked really clean. I thought the town of Manzanita was super cute. It was more intimate than Cannon Beach but still artsy and charming. Plus it was just a nice walk down the beach to get to town and have a warm cup of tea or coffee. My husband and I agreed that it was like the best house on the beach because of the way the windows were situated; it felt private, and the view included no other houses... just that big, amazing ocean. This may sound cheezy, but I'm serious. I think it was the nicest vacation rental we've ever been to, and we try to go somewhere twice a year. (You need a vacation house journal in the living room so people can write about their memorable experiences).

This place is enchanting. A comfy house, with lots of room, well stocked, tastefully and intelligently furnished, well-situated and wonderful beach. Between Bread and Ocean, the market and bookshop on right side as you drive down the main drag to the beach, an offbeat seafood restaurant, and great pizza place - really, what more do you want? Well, this house for starters....lots of nooks to plop down in for a snooze, fun collection of board games, open workable kitchen great for entertaining - and all this not much of a drive from Portland [where, by the way, don't miss a meal at Lovely Hula Hands]. I feel like a bit of a turncoat - I'm an eastern seaboard brat with strong ties to the Adirondacks and the Maine Coast, but I now live in NM. And the next time I want to hit the beach, this will be my first choice. Thank you for a delightful time in a AAA house and setting. [My apologies for not getting around to this sooner. Fall 2008]
Owner response:Our utmost thanks for a great review. I think the author could have a new career as a travel writer! We love our house, too. Leila

Great house, great location. Big enough for large groups or people who like space. Our visiting friends from Baltimore were very impressed with the Oregon coast, great fall weather, the enchanting town, and wonderful home. We will all be back again.
