Wonderful Tuscany Villa

We (6 people including 2 teenagers) had the most enjoyable 2 week vacation at this Villa. It was clean, charming, exceptionally well equipped, and a little bit of paradise as far as we were concerned. The owners were outstanding in their helpfulness and the meals that were available when we so desired them were wonderful. The owners went out of their way to help us chose different places to visit in the surrounding areas. All in all, it was one of the best vacations we have had and we would highly recommend staying there.

A Tuscan Dream Home

I cannot say enough about Casa Pippo and the friends that I met there. The house itself, a well maintained 500 year old stone dwelling, is beautifully furnished and decorated with many antiques but has all of the modern conveniences we have come to expect. We were provided with everything we could possibly need including 3 kinds of coffee makers, a wine cellar, and fresh vegetables from the garden. The property is perched at the top of a steep, windy, road and is located in a national park area. The view from the top of the hill overlooking beautiful countryside and the town of Arezzo is spectacular day or night. The grounds surrounding the house are landscaped beautifully, the driveway lined with olive and fruit trees, and flowers everywhere. For anyone wanting to explore Tuscany, Casa Pippo is in a great location, an hour train ride from Florence and a reasonable daytrip by car from Sienna, Cortona, Montepulciano, Chianti, and other Tuscan towns. However, there are many amenities and things to do at Casa Pippo - a beautiful swimming pool , a bocci court, table tennis, workout room, horse-back riding, and many trails to hike in the national park area. Elizabetta’s cooking lessons are not to be missed, not just for the excellent food but also just for the experience of spending time with such delightful people. That brings me to the best part of the Casa Pippo experience – the people. Francesco and Elizabetta , the owners of Casa Pippo, along with their daughter Francesca, are committed to making this an exceptional vacation experience. From the moment we were met by Francesco at the train station, we were made to feel welcomed and pampered. Getting to know and to interact with this wonderful family and even with the caretakers, Nello and Rodica, made my Tuscan experience so much more meaningful. Having them close by was such a comfort to us who were unfamiliar with the area and unable to speak Italian. The welcome dinner, which Elizabetta prepared and which was delivered by Francesco, Elizabetta, Francesca, and her boyfriend Leo, was outstanding and enough for us to eat for three days. The experience of that first meal was so extraordinary that we requested a dinner be prepared when we had other guests arriving. I would encourage anyone looking for a great Tuscan experience to consider staying at Casa Pippo. The house, grounds, view, location, amenities, and people are all truly amazing.

Stunning Views from a 500 Year Old Tuscan Villa

Quietly perched above the town of Arezzo in the Tuscan mountains and nestled perfectly in a natures reserve, a 500 year old Casa Pippo stoically awaits your arrival. From the moment you pass through the rod-iron gates you will feel welcomed, wowed, and wonderful. Casa Pippo is very well maintained inside and out and is equipped with all the comforts and necessities of home. Each day you will find something you didn't notice before as you are surrounded by beautiful decor and antiques that take you back into a time and place of long ago. The grounds are meticulously manicured and blooming fully with herbs, flowers, plants and olive trees. Relaxing poolside is simply made perfect as you take in stunning view of the country side and Arezzo below. Francessco and Elisabetta are gracious hosts who invite you into their home and ensure your stay there is memorable. Elisabetta is the most talented chef who's homemade authentic Italian welcome dinner is not only plentiful but absolutely delicious. Her original recipe trimisu is the best in Italy. We were very appreciative of Francessco hospitality and kind spirit as he whisked the children down the private stables for a lesson about and a ride on his most gorgeous Italian Stallion horses. A trip to Italy was a dream vacation for my family and spending the week at Casa Pippo certainly made us feel like we were living our dream. We would definitely share (and have done so already) our amazing experiences with Francessco and Elisabetta at Casa Pippo and highly recommend booking a fabulous vacation at their Tuscan Villa.

Paradiso

I stayed with family visiting for 5 weeks at Casa Pippo, and it was absolutely the most wonderful experience...beyond all imaginings. This is the 3rd summer my husband, children and grandchildren have spent 2 months in Europe. We always have had lovely accommodations, but my kids" response to C.P. was "Mom, you hit the jackpot with this!" The setting is spectacular...you are a world away from the sounds of an historical and charming city, but have a view of it. The house itself is wonderful, filled with comfortable and interesting antiques but with modern conveniences at least we Americans are used to. The grounds are beautiful and give forth lovely fresh herbs, and fruits in addition to beautiful flowers everywhere. But these are the "bricks and mortar". What makes this SO enchanting are the hosts, Elisabetta and Francesco....they are "perfecto". Everyone is as welcoming and kind and thoughtful as you could ever want. Oh, did I mention the food? How many words do I have left in this review?Take a cooking lesson...you won't regret it. I would without hesitation recommend this spot for anyone wanting a magical time in Tuscany. One little problem...you might want to stay at Casa Pippo the entire time and miss the sights, it's so relaxing. Happy Travels and Wonderful Memories
