Are you looking for a place to get away from it all? Have you dreamed of just setting on the front porch in that favorite rocking chair overlooking the creek, weeping willow trees and listening to the sounds of birds? Or for that romantic time, have you wished that you had a beautiful bedroom with a fireplace? Want to stay in a little history?

"THE DELL" is where you will want to stay. The original part of this home is from pre-1900's, but updated.

Our home features a large covered front porch with 4 rocking chairs. There is a library with wonderful wicker furniture and books, CD player and movies. The living room has a beautiful bay window over looking the yard and a gas fireplace. There is a TV with VCR & DVD as well as a futon in the living room. The dining room has a gas log stove and a bay window to over look the pear tree, flowers and bird feeder. The kitchen has all up to date appliances and is fully equipped including cookbooks. There is a brick patio off the kitchen where you can grill your next steak.

Upstairs you will find three bedrooms and a full bath off of the hall. The Master bedroom is quite large and has a full bath as well as a beautiful wood burning fireplace. We will provide the wood. The bed is a queen size with a pillow top. The 2nd bedroom has a double antique iron bed and a view of the creek. The 3rd bedroom has what used to be a futon and we have it permanently out as a double bed. This is a smaller room with a desk and a view of the creek. The hall bath has a Maytag washer and dryer.

This home is setting between a Virginia By way and a small country road. You can stay here and enjoy the peacefulness of Mill Creek running through the acre+ property or you can schedule full days of running and site seeing.

We are close to Bryce Ski Resort which has both snow and grass boarding and skiing. At the end of your day from skiing you might want to have a nice relaxing dinner at Colemans Restaurant.

For the ones that don't partake in skiing there are numerous antique shops within 5 miles. The Shenandoah Caverns are within 5 Miles and for the history buff visit New Market battlefield and museums. We are right in the middle of the Shenandoah Valley. There is hiking, trout fishing, hunting and a national forest just a few miles away. Information will be available at the house with brochures of interest to the area.
