This is a beautiful and traditional Florida stilt home, with elevated view for your ideal vacation on undeveloped Pine Island. The lakeside house is the pride and joy of it's English owners who have owned it since 2006 and is their own vacation home. It is furnished to a high standard with top quality modern furnishings with the accent on luxury and an attention to detail whilst retaining the traditional Floridan character. The house has clean lines without clutter. We have a beautiful private pool and sun deck with uninterrupted views of the lake, leading to our large screened outside living/ dinning area. You will wake up to stunning views of the lake and golf course, with the ocean only a short walk away.

The tropical golf course of Alden pines is available to you, if boating is more for you then you are within minutes of 4 marinas where you can catch a boat to the surrounding islands' unspoiled beaches, or you may want to get back to nature and take a bike ride on the quiet roads or go fishing in the ocean or the lake right in front on the house.

Beautiful location

Overall a lovely stay. Beautiful location and convenient. Would definitely stay again. The house is well equipped and very pleasant with a beautiful sun room. Only recommendation, and this is for Pine Island in general: take bug spray! For whatever reason the no-see-ums/biting midges were out in full force during our stay on the island.

Vacation 2021

We totally enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home on the island. It had everything we needed for a perfect relaxing vacation. The neighborhood was great and neighbors made us feel so welcome. The view is amazing and there is so much wildlife to enjoy. Great owners!!

Great getaway

The island is amazing. We had a blast eating at restaurants, enjoying some golf and taking a charter out fishing. The island is a great place for families or anyone looking for some sun and relaxation. The people on the island and very friendly and helpful. I will absolutely come back. The house was nice, but needs some work and upkeep. No screen around the pool, so the bugs make the pool area unusable in the late afternoon and beyond. All in all, the island is great and the property is serviceable.

We are an English family who live in Manchester in the north of England. We have been visiting Florida for more than 30 years.
We ran a business in the UK and our success was built on great customer service, we adopt the same attitude with renting our vacation home.

Why they chose this property

We first visited Pine Island as we wanted to go to Cayo Costa, a beautiful unspoilt barrier Island accessible only by boat and they run from points on Pine Island.
Having previously only been to Sanibel and Captiva we immediately fell in love with the tranquility of the place and decided to shelve our plans on buying a vacation home in France and look at Pine Island.

We decided to simply drive around the areas of the Island and we knew as soon as we saw this house it was for us.

The area of Bokeelia and Alden pines is like stepping back in time where people have time for each other and are happy to stop for a chat. I have been to many places around the world and the absence of any form of crime or threat in this area is quite unbelievable.
We just love it.

What makes this property unique

The views over the lake from the sitting room whilst having breakfast are with us when we are back home in the cold, wet English winters (and sometimes summers).
