What a wonderful place in God's Country!!! This was our second stay @ Faith House. And there will be many, many more. The owners, Char & Cliff sure know how to make you feel welcome in their home away from home. And Carolyn & her family are the greatest caretakers ever. The house is very warm and inviting w the spacious living and sleeping areas, the deck that over looks a mountain stream, and the awesome fireplace with all the wood you can burn. Thanks you so much for letting us share your great home. Becki Stallings, Pam Caywood, Juliana Miller, Shelle Duvall, and Steph Shuler

Our family stayed at the Faith House for Thanksgiving. We arrived to a clean and well-prepared home and everything was just as described. We had plenty of room for our family of eight. Our favorite spot was the back porch...we enjoyed having coffee there, listening to the roar of the creek, spotting wildlife, and welcoming the new day. It was our first trip to the Faith House, but hopefully not our last.

Our church youth group stayed at Faith House 3 nights and loved it. It was perfect for our youth retreat. It provided the perfect atmosphere for what we needed it for. We played football and Hillbilly golf in the front yard, roasted marshmallows in the fire pit, cooked on the grill and relaxed on the deck talking and listening to the deck. We had 11 people stay and sleep comfortably, there was more than enough room. Some of the activities that our group enjoyed while on our stay were white water rafting with River and Earth Adventures(Great company), team building activity course at Bays Mt. Park, Day Quest at Doe River Gorge and Fun Expedition. We had a great time and have plans on making our youth retreat and Faith House an annual event. Thank you Faith house for an amazing time of faith, fun and fellowship.

Wow! This house was great for a group. We had 10 sleeping comfortably, lots of room for cooking and extra tables for puzzles and games. All ate our meals on the back porch where we could listen to the stream and feel the breezes. It was even cool enough for jackets in June! It was great to have the house stocked with those extras--coffee filters, blankets, lots of toilet paper and the band-aids you didn't know you'd need. With the upstairs and lower level sleeping areas there was plenty of privacy and quiet areas for the late sleepers, too. Thanks for the hospitality!

I was somewhat concerned about this rental because of the lack of paperwork, but don't let that deter you. We had a fabulous experience! The house is on a quiet country road with a gem of a creek just behind it, yet reasonably close to the more urban attractions of the area. Roan Mountain (the mountain, not the town of the same name) is a truly spectacular spot in the fall, and from the photos we saw, also spectacular in early summer when the rhododendrons are in bloom. We spent lots of time on the back porch enjoying the woods, the creek, and the gas BBQ. This is the best equipped house I have ever stayed at- absolutely everything we needed and more was there. There is even an electric lift to bring firewood from below the deck up to the top level of the house. The rooms are large, the beds very comfortable, and the large stone fireplace is the best drawing fireplace I have every had the pleasure to sit in front of. The property manager who lives just up the road is a very sweet gal who truly cared that we were happy during our stay. In short, thanks you so much for such a wonderful experience!

Hi - we promised to write this and somehow, after we left we never did it! We arrived very tired from three different locations as a multi generation family and spent Christmas twice (4 nights each time) at the Faith house in the mountains - the only thing our hosts did not provide was SNOW!!! But everything else was GREAT! Had a hard time getting up in the mornings, as the eight grandchildren could play to their heart's content and there was room enough for us six adults (3 couples) and the young ones. Could not explore half of what we wanted, so just relaxed, cooked, baked, and ate woderful meals! The thoughtful caretaker had even a Christmas tree picked up for us and the turkey was defrosting, after we mentioned this by phone. Christmaslights cast a warm welcome for us. Never have we been so cozy and happy! All was clean and right for the little crawlers in the family. We left with wonderful memories and clean laundry and settled meanwhile again in SC, Canada and Africa. Our family pictures taken by the fireplace will remind all of us for a lifetime of the great reunion we had. Also, the children could play outside and be back for meals in a jiffy. -We had brought cookie dough and crafted presents etc. Food City in Elizabethton had all we needed and we lived like Royalty. It could not have been more harmonious! We experienced what we were looking for: Family time away from the hustle and bustle. God bless you folks! Thank you!

This property is wonderful!! My family was in east TN for a baseball tournament. We stayed for 5 nights. Besides the absolute beautiful view from the back porch and deck, the thing that was most impressive was how well the house was stocked with everything we needed. The owners were very flexible and we can not recommend this place enough!!

We LOVED this home, we have rented many VRBO's (internat'l also) and this is by far the most comfortable home ever. Immaculate, with every imaginable amenity. Perfect location with serenity and solitude--the nicest babbling brook, photos don't do it justice. The owners and caretaker are awesome-we plan on going back as often as possible.

I took my mother, in-laws, husband and 3 children to Faith House for our Christmas Vacation. It was the most wonderful vacation we have ever had! The house was very cozy, but roomy. It had absolutely everything we could possibly need. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Our kids loved playing in the snow. (It was their first time.) They haven't stopped talking about our trip there and can't wait to get back. I highly recommend this beautiful home for families looking for a great getaway together.
