3205 Granite Ridge Lodge is a three-storey arts and crafts house built into an aspen-covered hillside in Teton Village, alongside neighbors in the Granite Ridge Lodge collection. Strong lines and big windows anchor the lodge in its mountainous setting — a fabulous, ski-in ski-out, location bordered by a musical little stream. Inside, solid construction and beautiful craftsmanship are evident in every room. High wood ceilings are crossed with hand-hewn beams, oil paintings hang on wood-paneled walls as warm and mellow as honey. A short flight of steps leads from the foyer to the well-proportioned great room, which is lit by floods of sunlight from windows on three sides. A long couch and leather armchairs face the wood-burning stone fireplace, and a wet bar is set into an alcove just beside it. In the dining area, an antler chandelier hangs over the table, and a few steps farther, the spacious, well-equipped kitchen is set apart by a granite-topped buffet.

3205 Granite Ridge Lodge has four bedrooms and a bunkroom. The peaceful, light-filled master bedroom stands at the top of the house, under a vaulted wood ceiling. A stone fireplace, gas-fired, faces the king bed, and has a nice wide ledge on which to lay out slippers and pajamas for warming, or sit and read. A door opens to a private terrace; from there you can see beyond the village and woods far up to the top of the ski mountain. The master bedroom has both a huge dresser and a walk-in closet, both of which offer ample clothes storage. In the private bathroom, all tiled in creamy stone, there are double vanities, a deep soaking tub and a large, glass-walled shower. Just outside the master bedroom is a sitting room, open to the stairwell, where a couch, a game table and a tv hidden in a pretty, twig-framed armoire wait.

An airy guest suite — the only other bedroom on the top floor — shares the sitting area with the master bedroom. Here, a beautiful, full-size wooden sleigh bed faces a television, and thick, soft, oatmeal-colored carpeting warms the floors. Double doors lead to a large private balcony, and windows frame the high, rugged mountains. The guest bedroom has a large dresser and a nice bathroom, with a combination shower and tub, and double sinks. Out on the balcony, the peaked roofs of the neighbors step gaily down the hillside, while the mountains rise steeply above, ribboned with ski trails.

3205 Granite Ridge Lodge’s middle and bottom floors hold two more bedrooms. The first, with two twin beds and a private bath, sits over the two-car garage. Windows on two sides hold views of the village and the slopes. On the ground floor, there is a quiet, roomy bedroom with a queen bed and private bath. Just outside this room is a delightful, open bunk area with four beds — the perfect hideout for kids. The top bunks have reading lights; each bed is cozy and welcoming.

From the cheery, crimson-trimmed walls of Granite Ridge Lodge, you can walk or ski to all the wonderful offerings in Teton Village: casual and fine dining, the symphony, spas, the Four Seasons Hotel, the lifts, and the hiking and mountain biking trails. Granite Ridge Lodge has lockers on the ground floor for equipment storage, and a laundry room for post-activity clean-up. A small stone terrace off of the great room holds a big hot tub and a grand view of the mountain, the slopes, the woods and even the occasional moose. This is a house built for ebullient gatherings of family or friends; it has many places for coming together and many places for quiet retreat. Granite Ridge Lodge is a luxurious and wonderfully comfortable home, perfect for those who are set on having the time of their lives in Jackson Hole.
