Heaven’s Gate River Cottages is located in Vida, Oregon. Each of our four cottages is picturesquely nestled along the shore of the McKenzie River, and each is decorated in it's own rustic yet elegant style. These cottages were built in the early 1940’s, and they have a grace and charm reminiscent of a more gentle era. While we have maintained the"rustic" touches of that time, we have also incorporated some modern conveniences.
Cozy Accommodations
All of the cottages have a fully equipped kitchen, charcoal grill, fireplace in the living room, full bathroom (including tub and shower) and central heat. They feature windows on the entire river side-affording an unparalleled view of the white water below. French doors open from the living room onto spacious private decks directly over the water. We invite you to relax and refresh in the cool, green Willamette National Forest-and even throw in your fishing line. If you keep a sharp eye out, you may even see Osprey and Blue Herons building their nests in the surrounding tree tops.
We have two cottage styles to choose from-one bedrooms and studios. There are 2 cottages of each style available. The one bedrooms can sleep up to 4 people comfortably, with a king bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The studio cottages sleep 2, with a queen bed in the living area. We include most everything to make your stay convenient and enjoyable—from dishes to linens and towels. All you will need to bring is your clothes, food, and yourselves... but don't forget to pack your fishing tackle!
