Heaven’s Gate River Cottages is located in Vida, Oregon. The cottage is picturesquely nestled along the shore of the McKenzie River, and is decorated in a rustic yet elegant style. The cottage was built in the early 1940’s, and has a grace and charm reminiscent of a more gentle era. While we have maintained the"rustic" touches of that time, we have also incorporated some modern conveniences.
Cozy Accommodations
The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, charcoal grill, fireplace in the living room, full bathroom (including tub and shower) and central heat. It features windows on the entire river side-affording an unparalleled view of the white water below. French doors open from the living room onto a spacious private deck directly over the water. We invite you to relax and refresh in the cool, green Willamette National Forest-and even throw in your fishing line. If you keep a sharp eye out, you may even see Osprey and Blue Heron.
The one bedroom can sleep up to 4 people comfortably, with a king bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. We include most everything to make your stay convenient and enjoyable—from dishes to linens and towels. All you will need to bring is your clothes, food, and yourselves... but don't forget to pack your fishing tackle!

As always, we loved our stay at Heaven's Gate. Highlights included a white faced owl, herons, catching 3 rainbow trout, and sharing a glass of wine with new friends. We are greatful for such a relaxing break from our busy everyday lives.

The cabin is truly living up to it's name. It's Heaven. We've fished, walked, played games, laughed and slept to our heart's content. Thanks for supplying a special place to rest our spirits.

What a delightful time we've had here. You both made us feel so welcome here. We played our 18 holes at Tokatee-then came back here to spend our afternoon relaxing on the dec, reading, talking and letting all our cares roll by. We hope to come back again next year. This is our 50th wedding year and coming to this bit of "heaven" has added another memory to our anniversary year.

The air at Heaven's Gate is intoxicating morning, noon and night. The river is constantly mesmarizing with ducks, geese and ospray. Thank for letting us share your piece of paradise
