More than a cottage, this lovely west facing waterfront home commands spectacular views of the ocean. Meander down a few steps to the sandy beach, the warmest swimming beach on Salt Spring. Enjoy the world's most spectacular sunsets from the large deck. This home sits on a 1/2 acre surrounded by a mature apple orchard. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, separate dining room, living room with wood burning fireplace and french doors that open onto a large deck, washer/dryer, all bedding and towels supplied.
Within a short walk you will find a quaint village store, an oceanside restaurant and government wharf. All located in the very desirable neighbourhood of Vesuvius Bay.
Salt Spring is the largest of the Gulf Islands and is an ideal get-away vacation spot. From May to October the town of Ganges hosts the famous Saturday outdoor market where you can buy arts and crafts, farm-fresh vegetables, island-made cheeses, and homemade treats. On Salt Spring you can also enjoy fishing, golfing, hiking, ocean kayaking, theater, and a brand new recreation centre. The cottage is an 8 minute drive from Ganges, the heart of Salt Spring Island, where visitors can enjoy restaurants, pubs, art galleries, and boutiques.
