Our large and lovely old 1880 two-story farmhouse is beautifully situated on 4 acres with a babbling brook and backs up to the Green Mountain National Forest. Easy access year around.
Located on Route 100 just north of Hancock, a popular scenic route through Vermont. It is not fancy or deluxe, just plain/simple accommodations for a family to enjoy.
Sugarbush Town: 13.2 miles to Warren from our vacation home, another few miles up mountain to the ski area.
Our home was built in the 1880s and most of the original aspects are still here--wide-board wood floors, wood-beam frame ceilings, lots of woodwork, etc. It is a huge house (4200 square foot) so lots of room for the entire family or just keep it small and enjoy a weekend away as a couple!!

My family has been spending alot of time at this house since discovering it 5 years ago. It is just as described~simple, plain, an old farmhouse, but feels like home. We've enjoyed this house in every season now. A great place to unwind from our busy lives. The views from the front yard, the picturesque town less than two miles away, swimming spot one mile down the road. Skiing, tubing, hiking the long trail...a place to make memories. Fits our family of 7 plus any siblings, cousins or grandparent quite comfortably. Owners are very accessible for issues too.Recommended for: Age 55+.

About the owner: We are the Mousadi Family of 5. We love skiing in Vermont! We found our vacation home, and fell in love with it immediatelly--from the babbling brook beside the home, to the wide-board hardwood floors, the spacious room, to the great location to sereral of the best skiing areas in Vermont! Fall foliage is beautiful, too! And the spring and summers bring beauty and delight!
Why the Owner Chose Hancock:
Being from Vermont, Bethany always was back visiting relatives throughout the years. After getting married and having children, Alex and Bethany wanted to not only visit Vermont to see family, but have a vacation home to feel comfortable in and enjoy vacationing in Vermont. This home fit the bill--and because they don't vacation full-time, they've made it available for others to enjoy!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The benefits of this home are that it is right in the heart of Vermont activities--from cross-coutry skiing nearby, golf courses, snow skiing, VAST snowmobile trails right out the front door, Ben & Jerry's icecream and other tourist favorites to enjoy, are only a beginning. Then the home itself is right on Route 100, easy access year around. It is large and comfortable, great for families who want to stay in the same home--there is room for all with plenty of room to spare--it's great!
