Enjoy your stay at our cozy cottage on Manistee Lake. This little cottage in the woods is quaint, and is a place where wonderful memories can be made! Come up to view the FALL COLORS-around the first half of October. This cottage is very clean and comfortable. It is decorated in a lodge style, very nice and quite comfortable, yet it is affordable as well! It is a perfect setting that offers something for everyone in your party. Whether you want to relax and read a good book, play golf nearby, go fishing on your boat or a magnificent river, take a canoe trip down the Manistee, boat, waterski, take a short drive to Traverse City, Petosky, or other surrounding destinations, it is all there for you. The lovely landscaped and wooded lot, sandy beach and boat dock, will provide you a place to really relax and have a great time. Just bring your jet ski or boat and launch it across the lake, less than five minutes from the property, and there is a a boat dock on the property to use for your visit.

Looking for night life and entertainment? It is just a short 25 minute drive to the newly expanded Turtle Creek Casino! Look for antiques in nearby towns. The cottage is also just a few miles from 1 truly beautiful golf course with an incredible view, and about 8 miles to another great course. However, if golf is your pleasure there many more courses within a 45 min. driving distance.

The surrounding woods are wonderful for hiking, biking and off roading on the extensive ORV Trail system. The trail is just minutes away from the cottage. We have parking for ORV's too. Manistee Lake itself has good fishing for Walleye, Small and Largemouth Bass and various panfish.

Manistee Lake is especially popular for families with younger children as the sandy bottom extends out and is shallow and safe for play. The beach and shallow water at the property edge is really great fun for dogs to play as their feet can touch the bottom for quite a way out. Fish, waterski, swim, the lake is perfect for all. You can use our canoe and cruise the lake. Have a BBQ on the outdoor river rock BBQ, and take in the fabulous sunsets our lake is known for. We provide some firewood so you can enjoy campfires in the fire pit at the lakes edge...bring your marshmallows!

My wife & I stayed here for nine days in September. Very cute cottage, great yard on a wonderful lake. We highly recommend this rental. Owners were very helpful and quick to answer any questions. We brought our dog and kayaks, very much enjoyed paddling around Manistee Lake. If you come here. make sure to try the chicken, bacon ranch pizza at Dingman's Bar.

We were very happy with our stay. The cottage is beautiful, charming and so comfotable. The lake was beautiful. We brought our golden with us. He loved it. The owners think of everything and have a great book that will give you the info and tips. Even in bad weather we enjoyed our time playing games. I would definately go back and hope to this year.

Great getaway!

We stayed at the cottage over Labor Day weekend and had a fantastic time. The Michigan weather didn't cooperate as it was rainy and chilly while we were there. The rain let up in the evenings for making s'mores over the campfire pit and we did some wading around in the water. The water is shallow and has a nice sandy bottom with no seaweed. We enjoyed watching the jet skis and the people water skiing and tubing, though the lake had very little boat traffic. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the place was spotless. The multitude of games they had came in handy in the evenings. We took three teenagers with us and they had a great time. My son kept saying he loved the place and wants to go back next year. Steve and Cindy were great to work with. They quickly responded to our emails and everything went smoothly. We loved it. Thanks for a great reprieve from a difficult summer.

This place was absolutely wonderful. It surpassed all our expectations plus some. My husband walked into the place and said, "Are you kidding me, book it for next year!" The kitchen provided everything you would need for the week. The beach was a big hit with my sons and the campfire pit was perfect. We enjoyed a fire every night and the sunsets were beautiful. The owners are wonderful to work with and are very prompt in answering any questions you might have. And yes, we did book our vacation for next year. We will be back.

This cabin is adorably rustic, very comfortable & extremely clean. We really enjoyed the lovely yard & the beach area with it's swing, firepit & beautiful sunsets. The owners have truly done an excellent job in making this place a wonderful "UP NORTH" experience for their guest. We appreciate how helpful & kind they were to us & our many questions. Hope to return next summer.

What a delightful place. Nice and quiet. Our family had a wonderful time and would love to visit again. It would have been better if the weather would have cooperated (rainy, windy, and cooler), but it was still very nice. Our daughter loved the fact that she could be in the water all the way out to the end of the pier walking around or lounging on her float because it was shallow and sandy.

Really liked our visit to the cabin on Manistee Lake. My family enjoyed it so much we are planning to return for another visit. The lake is just perfect for us and the kids had a blast. The cabin is very nice and it was real comfortable. Everything met our expectations and beyond. They even had a welcome basket with some goodies in it too. All in all I think most people would enjoy it, it is rustic but it was not roughing it all. We had a couple teenagers with us who wanted to sleep in a tent by the lakeshore and they loved that for sure. So if you want comfort but not a huge fancy place this one is a real good choice.

Oh My! What a beautiful cottage. We went up in the fall, so we were unable to swim in the lake, but it looked absolutley wonderful. Nice little beach area for younger children with a shallow sandy bottom area near the shoreline. It looked like the lake got deeper a few feet out for the adults. Inside the cottage was SUPER clean. The owners were very kind and easy to work with. I look forward to another visit in the summer when we can enjoy the lake more! I have had my share of disappointments renting out vacation homes etc site unseen, but I can say with certainty that you will not be disappointed. This one is a safe bet! Enjoy!
