This charming beach cottage on Tybee Island, GA is loaded with character. Recently restored, it is decorated with colorful island photographs, nautical pictures, miniature sailboats and contains a small library for vacationers who love to read.
The house is 3 blocks from the ocean - a short, 5-minute stroll. Home to one of the Atlantic Seaboard's oldest lighthouses, Tybee also has caught Hollywood's attention as a film location and celebrity destination. Tybee has played host to several films, including Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, The Gingerbread Man, The General's Daughter and The Gift.
After shooting Forces of Nature there in 1998, Sandra Bullock paid $3.8 million for a beach-front compound. Ben Affleck, her "Forces" co-star, also is searching for a Tybee home. Tybee harkens back to the easy going days of yesteryear with unique style and very trendy charm. New homes and condos have sprouted up, along with curio shops and sumptuous offerings of restaurants from Japanese to seafood to gourmet to Caribbean.
The fishing and crabbing are excellent..the pier among the nation's longest and most inviting. All the pleasures of Savannah, a "top ten" destination in most of the world's travel magazines, are only a few minutes away across lovely marsh and water views from the highway. Join us!
