Recently renovated, large beautiful kitchen. Off-street parking, large fenced-in, private lawn and great front and back porches. This home is truly unique and lovely. There are three bedrooms with two queen beds and one twin bed plus a trundle. In addition, there is a gorgeous sun room on the back of the second floor that includes a pull-out queen sleeper. There is also a futon in the office area just outside the sunroom. This allows comfortable sleeping accomodations for up to 10.
This really is a wonderful home on one of the best blocks on the northside of Asbury. A perfect retreat from the city in all seasons. It is within easy walking distance of the beach, boardwalk, restaurants, clubs.

Many people told us not to stay in Asbury Park that it was an "iffy" area and suggested Ocean Grove as a better choice - I totally disagree! This is a lovely and comfortable house in a nice neighborhood; you are just blocks from the ocean and an easy walk to Ocean Grove (where houses are on top of each other and there are no driveways). Also, the house is a block from Sunset Lake with a lovely walking bridge and a wonderful view of the lake from the 2nd floor sunroom. We enjoyed cooking in the well appointed kitchen, eating on the back deck just as much as eating out (don't miss Brando's on Main Street). This was a great experience with a hospitable host! We rented this house for a week in 2009. I am now using VRBO to find a rental in another part of the country and realizing that I should have left a review for this property! In short . . . it was a great experience. Great neighborhood. Very peaceful. Excellent value. Not at all far to beach, boardwalk and town. We biked and walked everywhere! Really nice, honest and responsive owner. Would love to go back to AP at some point and would rent this house again. Listing accurately describes house, which was meticulously maintained.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.

This is a gorgeous house just a few blocks from the shore! We stayed here in April 2011. Rented the house with very short notice. Owner was extremely accommodating, pleasant, helpful in all ways. The house is very spacious and open, huge kitchen, laundry in the basement, great back porch. There were several of us, but the 1.5 bathrooms was plenty. We commuted to NYC via the Long Branch station to save changing trains. We highly recommend this home for creating a great beach memory. Also, this house is located in a great part of town.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
