We are a family of 4 (daughter 17 & son 15) & have just returned from a 2-week family holiday in Florida (one week in Orlando followed by a week in Fort Lauderdale). We were looking for a relaxing base in Fort Lauderdale with good facilities in a great location....& boy, we got it at Perry's Perfect Paradise. The house is beautiful & well appointed with everything you might need. The location was fantastic for us...a quiet, safe residential area but only a stone's throw from the beach, shops, restaurants & attractions - Miami was also only a short drive away too. The real star attraction however was the garden...a lovely, clean well maintained pool & hot tub, plenty of space/chairs to relax, BBQ & a quirky Tiki Bar. The garden opens out onto a lovely dock/canal from which my son & I kayaked most days to explore the local area. In the August heat, it was also great to be a few steps away from the fridge & an air-conditioned house. Arlene & John (the owners) live next door so were on hand if needed to offer advice & sort out any problems - not that there were any! They were so friendly & helpful, it felt like we had known them for years. In summary, this is a lovely house that exceeded our expectations...we wouldn’t think twice about returning again in the future. Thank you Arlene & John for a great holiday!

Just returned from a one week vacation at John and Arlene's lovely house. The house was impeccable and the private pool and jacuzzi were beautiful. Went with my one year old and she loved every minute of it. John and Arlene even provided a high chair and a pack and play for her to sleep in. Our stay exceeded all of our expectations and we couldn't have found a lovelier house and couple. Thank you so much! We will definitely be returning.

The best relaxing three days mini vacation ever !

I have never written a review before but in this case, I had to write a review on this mini vacation. First of all, meeting Arlene and John, they were friendly, caring, and made it their business to please and make you feel comfortable in this paradise. They live right next door but you'll never know it because you'll never see them unless you need something. The first day, I got lost trying to find the house and Arlene called me to give me directions. She met me at the house, very friendly greeting and she wasn't fake at all. She made my family and I feel at home with open arms, The property was very clean and was layed out with everything you could think of. It is the perfect paradise and the only thing I wanted to do was relax by the pool side. The tiki club was an open bar all night and the jucuzzi stay warm until day light. You can't help but to enjoy yourself at the paradise. We tried to fish and grill for three days. I will recommend this paradise to my friends and anyone else I know that is coming to Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. because it's cheaper and more private at the paradise than a hotel. John was your extra hand if you needed help. You can't ask for more than this. I will be coming back to the perfect paradise because I just love it. Oh yeah, if you decide to visit the perfect paradise, do say hello to " Miss Nicky" ( the dog ) for me. They are pet friendly too. Have a great stay. June

Relaxation Vacation!

Just returned from a "girls getaway" to Ft. Lauderdale, and we had a wonderful, relaxing time at our rental home on Tangelo Isle. The house was clean and welcoming, as was the scenery outside. We loved swimming in the beautiful pool, relaxing in the jacuzzi and having drinks in the Tiki bar. John and Arlene (the owners, who live next door) were SO kind and thoughtful to us from start to finish- by the end of our trip we had two new friends! The location is very convenient to Ft. Lauderdale beach and shopping areas. We truly enjoyed our stay for many reasons, and would certainly make plans to return again in the future. Thank you for a great experience and a great vacation.

Five weeks in Paradise

My family and I were lucky enough to choose Perrys Paradise for our stay in Florida, for medical appointments, over five weeks from March 2012. We were delighted to arrive late in the evening and find Arlene had stocked the fridge and cupboards with essentials, to make our arrival easier. We had just flown over from Australia with tired children and exhausted adults, and were made very welcome .We thoroughly enjoyed a day trip on their boat around the Intracoastal waterway on Easter Sunday. They were perfect hosts, the house was immaculate and the pool delightful. We enjoyed walking through the neighbourhood in the evenings with the children, completely safe and friendly. It was wonderful to know that the Perry's were only next door, and yet we had all the privacy we could wish for. We would recommend this vacation stay to anyone, from young couples to families. It was within an easy drive of the beach, shopping and tourist destinations. Thank you John and Arlene.

This was a really great place to spend your vacation. The house was great, fully equipped and really nicer than the pictures shows. We were six persons staying at the house and there were enough room for everyone. The owners made us feel very welcome, and we would love to return in the near future. Truly can recommend this place. I've never written a review before... but after staying here - we felt we needed to say thank you and let others know how wonderful this place is!.. Arlene and John are wonderful hosts! They are very helpful but not at all intrusive! We felt they truly wanted us to enjoy our stay. They were very easy to work with, helpful and kind. The home, the pool, the hot tub, the dock, the Tiki hut, the kayaks- all made for a wonderful trip with plenty to do for all of us. (3 adults and 2 children) Yet we were still able to relax. We were going to try to see the Everglades for the day but our boys said they would rather stay and play with all the fun stuff at the house. The house was clean, there were more than enough linens, the kitchen worked great to fix our Thanksgiving meal, we enjoyed some fish on the grill... We were very pleased! Thank you Arlene and John!

Loved this place, very peaceful in a residential setting. House is cozy, but not stuffy. Pet friendly, and everything you need, from linens, dishes, washer, dryer, blender, toaster, great ice maker, gas bbq grill, iron, ironing board, tv in living, master and second bedroom, ac/ ceiling fans all work great, can sit in living room in a/c and have direct view of kids in pool. Nice dining areas inside and out, and the tiki hut is just too cute. Nice cool breeze coming off canal in back, that has lots of boats, with marina feel. Fridge in tiki also. Lighted pool for evening and lighting for dock area. Jacuzzi and pool were both clean, jacuzzi in second bath also. Satellite tv, second bedroom works off programs in living area so you can monitor what the kids watch. Free wifi, nice granite in kitchen, and nice dining area. The managers are awesome and live next door, they even gave me a dozen beautiful roses! Beds were clean and comfortable. Less than 2 miles to downtown, no heavy traffic. Publix and Winn Dixie are less than 2 miles, Airport is close, but you don't get the noise. The owners recommended some wonderful chinese delivery. . Professionals should keep this place in mind also as it is similar to corporate housing. Deposit refunded promptly by mail. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Perry's Perfect Paradise in Nov 2011. John and Arlene are warm and gracious hosts. John was there to greet us and give us a tour of the property when we arrived. He also had good recommendations for restaurants and shopping in the area. Even though John and Arlene live next door, they respected our privacy and allowed us to peacefully enjoy the property without being disturbed. The property was exactly as described; no surprises. We particularly enjoyed the use of the kayaks and BBQ and appreciated the quiet surroundings. We highly recommend Perry's Perfect Paradise to anyone looking for a getaway.

What a great time we had. We stayed from Sept 24 until Oct 1 at Arlene and John's beautiful home on the canal. They are great hosts and genuinely nice people. The property is s.p.o.t.l.e.s.s.! We traveled with our Mother who is 86 and her friend Betty plus Mom's miniature dachshund, Molly (who had a great time chasing the occasional chameleon on the patio. If you enjoy first-class accommodations, this is the place for you! It is convenient to downtown Ft. Lauderdale and you can jump on the I-95 easily to get to Miami and West Palm Beach. And if you choose to follow our recommendation and stay there, you will not be disappointed. Also, should you find a small camera memory chip with lots of vacation pictures on it, it's ours. Lost it! .... Bummer! So, get yourself to Ft. Lauderdale and check out our new favorite place to stay. You will have a wonderful time. Thanks Arlene and John for being such good hosts. Perfect location for a perfect holiday

We have been to Florida many times, ever since our children were small. Our family, grown up children and their partners all met up for a get-together and this was the perfect place as far as we were concerned. The house is spacious, with a beautifully fitted-out kitchen with everything you need, right down to sauces and spices should you need them - as travelers from the UK with restricted luggage allowance this was ideal for us. The pool and hot tub were a real bonus - it was lovely having these all to ourselves, rather than sharing with noisy kids (and adults!) in the usual places we go on holiday. The weather was perfect, and unusually dry for the time of year, which was a real bonus. We enjoyed getting out and exploring the Fort Lauderdale area, as well as our first trip to the Florida Keys, which is highly recommended. All in all it was a great holiday, enjoyed by all of us. Many thanks to Arlene and John!

It has been our first experience renting a house in Florida and it was outstanding. We stayed for one week there. John and Arlene are kind, hospitable and perfect hosts. The house provides the comfort of home and a lovely place, it has everything that a family needs, is splendidly equipped and maintained. The young people enjoyed the kayaks and everybody used every day the beautiful pool. The neighborhood is very nice, quiet and safe; it is an excellent place to spend relaxing vacations. We definitely recommend the “Perry’s Perfect Paradise” to anyone vacationing in the area.

We had a wonderful experience renting John and Arlene's house. The location was fantastic and only a short drive from everything (airport, grocery store, beach, restaurants, shopping). The pool was beautiful, so relaxing, and always the perfect temperature. The house was equipped with everything we needed, including a crib and highchair for our 1 year old. The beach umbrella and chairs were also very nice to have. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. It was so nice to feel at home on vacation!

While looking online for a vacation home I stumbled upon this one and was so glad I did. John and Arlene were the perfect host and hostess during our stay . They were there for us but were not intrusive in any way. Location is ideal...minutes from the airport, beach, restaurants, and shopping. We loved the pool , Tiki Bar and sitting on the dock . House and propertry in general are very well equipped and maintained . Very quiet peaceful neighbor hood . Thanks John and Arlene. Looking forward to coming back again someday.

We just returned to the Northwest from a perfect week long stay at this wonderful home. The pictures do not even describe the qualities of this beautiful home. John and Arlene are truly decent, kind and hospitable and go out of their way to make sure their renters are satisfied and have an enjoyable stay. The home is spotless with so many nice upgrades. My husband and I and our two teenage daughters had such a great time enjoying the pool, watching the sunsets over the water, barbequing, sitting at the tiki bar and having breakfast on the patio. Additionally, the kayaks were a big hit for our daughters. The home is located close to wonderful beaches, restaurants and easy access to the airport and freeways. We will most definitely plan to be back!

My family and I just returned from a wonderful week in Fort Lauderdale. Arlene and John made us all feel right at home. They took us on a beautiful boat cruise and were just very helpful with anything that we needed. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood---great for relaxing, but not too far from the beach, restaurants, markets and airport. Enjoyed the kayaks, bikes, fishing rods and hot tub by the pool and tiki bar! Would definitely recommend this home to anyone vacationing in south Florida.

We had travelled the world staying in hotels - and had been tired about. 1 or 5 star, you´re never your own. So, this became our first experience renting a house. What to say, it made us somewhat disappointed we had never tried before. Arlene and John, hard to find home owners being such gentle and generous, never visible but always available when we were looking for right next door. The house and the surrounding, everything right as it should be, and, exactly as said prior, same we felt like we already knew the place upon arrival. The neighborhood was not only very quiet and private, we also felt and had been very safe. We are looking forward to come again - no need to look for alternatives! My family and I have been renting 'Perry's Perfect Paradise' for the past four years and have yet to find a better location or people to rent from. Arlene and John are always available to help if needed and have also created a safe environment for our young child. They have set up the safety fence for the pool and it is available to any family with children to add to the worry free vacation. There are great areas within walking distance to add to the joy of a trip to Ft. Lauderdale and with the beach 10 minutes away, you cannot pick a better spot. We are happy to recommend this home and look forward to returning.

We stayed for 5 days in July this year but wish we'd stayed longer! The photos on the website don't do it justice - the accomodation & facilities were even better than we expected. What made our stay even more enjoyable was the friendliness & helpfulness of the owners who very conveniently live next door. Location-wise it can't be faulted - it sits in a nice & quiet residential neighbourhood yet is only a few minutes away from the bustle of the beach-front & downtown Fort Lauderdale - a perfect balance! Would recommend this to couples & families alike.

John & Arlene-Thank you so much for opening up your home to us. We celebrated our 8th Wedding Anniversary this July: between preparing to leave work for a week and having the kids stay at their grandparents, the days leading up to our travel to Florida were quite hectic. Thanks to your inviting home and relaxing pool, we truly know what a vacation is supposed to feel like. The atmosphere was a welcome departure from the norm, and you were both very friendly. The house was so easy to get to from the airport and your listing and photos of the property could not have been more accurate. We felt like we already knew the place upon arrival. We welcomed the nearby supermarket for snacks, and the beaches and dining were an easy drive away. The neighborhood was very quiet and private--exactly what we were looking for! Finally, we so appreciated being able to conduct the terms of the rental via email and Paypal. You were always very responsive, even for our last minute questions. Knowing you were right next door if we needed anything was also very assuring. Thanks for the wonderful memories! I hope we will see you again one day!

We just came back from our vacation at Perry's Perfect Paradise and the only negative thing to say is our stay wasn't long enough. Arlene and John are great to deal with and very accomodating. As a family of four, we need more space than a hotel room. This house has everything you need to get ready for a great day and relax at the end of the day. We were close to everything the area has to offer, while living in a quiet residential area. We used the pool every day. We were close to the beaches and restaurants of Ft. Lauderdale area. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

This place is amazing, truly paradise. We loved the pool and tiki hut. The house was spotless and very well maintained. The owners were very kind and if we ever needed anything they were there. We especially liked being able to wake and walk out from our bedroom to the pool. We will be back someday.

We had a great time staying at this vacation paradise on the water in fort lauderdale.everything u need for fun and a great vacation stay is provided by the gracious owners, arlene and john perry.beautiful outdoor pool and jacuzzi in the backyard plus a tiki bar and plenty of patio space for grilling and hanging out.just a few minutes from the beach and the shopping on las olas boulevard.definitely a 5 star experience!!!!

I spent three months staying at this wonderful home. The pool and tikki bar were a nice way to end the day. The home had all the comforts that one could ask for...washer/dryer, fully equipted kitchen, jacuzzi tub, high-speed internet, and satelite TV. The owners were amazing even greeting me with fresh flowers on my first day. They live next door and were very helpful in answering questions about things to do and where to go for good restaurants. I have nothing negative to say about this home or its owners. What an awesome stay!

John and Arlene are great people and it shows with this rental. It is very nice with great amenities, pool, hot tub, kayaks, tiki bar, stereo, tv, laundry, bikes. It is very close to the airport and beaches. We really enjoyed the pool area, it is like a resort in itself. We also put the kayaks to good use and saw some extremely large iguana's during our trips along the New River. We rented last year, I'm just slow at posting a review and booking this year...."our week is already gone". Don't wait too long or this find will be booked before you know it. I'll have plan ahead further next time.

Well, what can we say!?! Truly a tropical paradise and one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had. Upon arrival there is a lovely note welcoming us to the house. Arlene and John are the ultimate hosts and cater to every need and question. After two days we feel like we live there and never want to leave. The location is perfect - just a 5 minute drive to Las Olas, 2 minutes from the highway, and 3 miles to the beach. It was perfect! The home is spacious, clean and comfortable. The pictures are completely accurate.We will be going back as often as we can and will tell all our friends and family.
