The picture of Lake Arrowhead was actually taken from my deck. It is not a postcard. This view can be seen from 2 bedrooms and the living room. Why else come up to Lake Arrowhead unless you get to see a lake view!... This Spectacular Mountain Retreat is located on a quiet private lane, high in the San Bernardino Mtns. My guests comment on the amazing Lake view 'that it takes your breath away'. My home has been described as 'cozy, comfortable, relaxing, peaceful, and charming'...
Lake Arrowhead is a little hidden gem, with a quaint village, local ski resorts, movie theater and wonderful local restaurants. If you are looking to relieve stress and just relax and have fun, this is just the place. The cabin has an extremely warm and inviting feel to it. Lake Arrowhead celebrates all four seasons. This is an all season vacation rental with warm summer days, and snow in the winter.
For additional pampering, Lake Arrowhead Resort only 5 minutes by car, offers Golf and Massage. The famous Lake Arrowhead Village next door, offers many beautiful stores and restaurants as well as 'The Arrowhead Queen' boat ride around the lake and a world famous Water Ski School. The village has outdoor concerts during the summer months as well as Octoberfest in the winter.
During the summer months you will have access to the private beach clubs and lake side trails and fishing only available to lake residents. Tavern Bay Beach is only a 5 minute walk from our home. The beach is a wonderland for all ages. Playground equipment for the little ones, and a snack bar with large picnic areas and plenty of sand and refreshing lake water for all to enjoy. The temperature is usually 80 degrees in the summer.
The cabin is well stocked with 100's of videos, games and books. There are also sleds and water gear available. The house is located on a private lane away from car traffic, ideal for families with little ones.
For the fishing enthusiasts the lake is well stocked with trout each year. There are also miles of walking trails along the lake.
This is not a 'frat party' home, I am looking for mature rentors with a respect for our home and environment.

We have gone to this Lake Arrowhead cabin a number of times and always enjoy it. It is like our second home, so much so that the youngest admitted this last time that she thought we owned it. Place has all you need and is easy to use. Lake access. Plenty to do. Marilyn is a joy to work with. You're dealing with a friend. And that view! That's the big payoff....and all this is just 85 minutes away from our home in the SF Valley. Highly recommend.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My family and I loved our stay here! The cabin has a magnificent view of the lake and everything you need to make your stay comfortable. I personally enjoyed how peaceful it is there! Will definitely rent it again when I return.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Dear Marilyn, We had a wonderful time at your cabin. The weather was great, not too hot. The deck and view from the deck were exceptional!! We enjoyed hiking around the lake. We hiked to Cedar Glen Inn for lunch... quite a trek, but worth it for Taco Tuesday, burgers & a BLT. (Yummy!) While walking along the lake we found Stairway 51. This staircase is a great workout close to your place! We hiked it several times every day. My favorite pastime was sitting on the deck with a book, enjoying the spectacular view. We hope to visit again. Thank you! me and 5 friends rented the cabin for my 40th bday. We had so much fun. We really didnt even need to leave the cabin for fun, as it was stocked with just about everything you need. We didnt even have snow on our visit, but still had so much fun. The view from the deck is great and the house is totally cozy and cute. This was our second time staying at this beautiful cabin and we have nothing but good things to tell. The view is breathtaking and the cabin is well equiped. There is something to do for everyone in this cabin. Working with Marilyn is very easy and she makes the renting process seamless. She is verry accessible to all questions you may have and very helpful. All the information in the website is accurate. As soon as you open the cabin door you will be wowed. This little cabin is straight out of a storybook - beautiful view, wonderful fireplace and absolutely the most comfortable beds and bedding you will ever sleep in. It snowed much of the time we were there so we put the mattress warmers and the cozy fireplace to good use. We spent hours on the wonderfully comfortable sofa watching the snow & viewing movies on the flat screen TV. The kitchen is fully stocked and if you plan on cooking in, you will have everything you need - including spices. There are fun games, toys for all ages and great movies & books. My husband and I were there with our two sons, their wives and our two year old Grandson and we all agree we want to go back to Marilyn's cabin. Marilyn was wonderful to work with. She called us the first night to make sure we had gotten there and that everything was in working order. It seemed to be important to her that we have a good time. You will not regret renting this wonderful little cabin. We will definitely rent there again! We enjoyed a weekend stay at this cabin and it was just what we had hoped for. The photos were spot on, we could see the lake from the back porch and it was clean and comfortable. We liked the fact that the owner had items to help entertain the kids available for us to use and appreciated the fully stocked kitchen when we were preparing breakfast before our excursions and dinner before bed. The owner was friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this to a friend.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We had a wonderful long weekend stay in Marilyn's cabin. We could not be more pleased that we chose to stay there. It was the perfect place to stay with our young kids. (They loved watching the birds eat from the bird feeder, and the toys that were there were great fun for them!) It is very homey and comfortable and it really feels like you're staying in a friend's place. The view is fantastic and the lake is a short walk away. The beds are to die for! Marilyn was very helpful and the rental process was seamless! I would certainly recommend this property to my friends and family and we look forward to staying again soon!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.

About the owner: I am very active and love hiking the trails, dirt biking and quading (4 wheelers) with my son. I go to Lake Arrowhead every chance I get, to unwind, relieve stress and center myself. I am a warm and caring women and the cabin is a reflection of that. I spend my free time volunteering in third world countries, building schools, working with orphans and disaster relief.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Arrowhead:
About 30 years ago I rented this cabin for winter break with some friends and family. We all fell in love with the peace and tranquility of the Mountains,the magnificent location and coziness of the cabin. I became a frequent rentor and eventually puchased it from the owners. For me, it has always been a magical place, and I love it as much as the first time I rented.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
As I travel up the mountain from L.A., only a 90 minute drive, I can physically feel the layers of stress peel off. By the time I get there I am already in a renewed and relaxed state. Most noticeable is the lack of traffic and sirens, just the quiet sounds of nature.
I love the four seasons, each for their own unique character. I originally thought this was a winter resort, but actually it is popular all seasons, and especially summer with the lake and beach access. I am located on a private lane, away from the highways, surrounded by trees and the most spectacular lake views. You can usually find me on the deck staring aimlessly at the lake and listening to the birds and the wind blowing in the trees. I am a dog lover, and my dogs love Lake Arrowhead, where they can run on the trails and explore. The close proximity to Los Angeles is a plus, because whenever I need to escape I just get in the car and make the short drive.
