The picture of the lake was actually taken from my deck. It is not a postcard. This view can be seen from 2 bedrooms and the living room. Why else come up to Lake Arrowhead unless you get to see a lake view!... This Spectacular Mountain Retreat is located on a quiet private lane, high in the San Bernardino Mtns. My guests comment on the amazing Lake view "that it takes your breath away". My home has been described as "cozy, comfortable, relaxing, peaceful, and charming"...
Lake Arrowhead is a little hidden gem, with a quaint village, local ski resorts, movie theater and wonderful local restaurants. If you are looking to relieve stress and just relax and have fun, this is just the place. The cabin has an extremely warm and inviting feel to it. Lake Arrowhead celebrates all four seasons. This is an all season vacation rental with warm summer days, and snow in the winter.
For additional pampering, Lake Arrowhead Resort only 5 minutes by car, offers Golf and Massage. The famous Lake Arrowhead Village next door, offers many beautiful stores and restaurants as well as "The Arrowhead Queen" boat ride around the lake and a world famous Water Ski School. The village has outdoor concerts during the summer months as well as Octoberfest in the winter.
During the summer months you will have access to the private beach clubs and lake side trails and fishing only available to lake residents. Tavern Bay Beach is only a 5 minute walk from our home. The beach is a wonderland for all ages. Playground equipment for the little ones, and a snack bar with large picnic areas and plenty of sand and refreshing lake water for all to enjoy. The temperature is usually 80 degrees in the summer.
The cabin is well stocked with 100's of videos, games and books. There are also sleds and water gear available. The house is located on a private lane away from car traffic, ideal for families with little ones.
For the fishing enthusiasts the lake is well stocked with trout each year. There are also miles of walking trails along the lake.
This is not a "frat party" home, I am looking for mature rentors with a respect for our home and environment.

Why the Owner Chose Lake Arrowhead
About 30 years ago I rented this cabin for winter break with some friends and family. We all fell in love with the peace and tranquility of the Mountains,the magnificent location and coziness of the cabin. I became a frequent rentor and eventually puchased it from the owners. For me, it has always been a magical place, and I love it as much as the first time I rented.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
As I travel up the mountain from L.A., only a 90 minute drive, I can physically feel the layers of stress peel off. By the time I get there I am already in a renewed and relaxed state. Most noticeable is the lack of traffic and sirens, just the quiet sounds of nature.
I love the four seasons, each for their own unique character. I originally thought this was a winter resort, but actually it is popular all seasons, and especially summer with the lake and beach access. I am located on a private lane, away from the highways, surrounded by trees and the most spectacular lake views. You can usually find me on the deck staring aimlessly at the lake and listening to the birds and the wind blowing in the trees. I am a dog lover, and my dogs love Lake Arrowhead, where they can run on the trails and explore. The close proximity to Los Angeles is a plus, because whenever I need to escape I just get in the car and make the short drive.
Private beach access for my rentors. Beautiful sandy beach, picnic tables, playground and snack bar. Also the ALA walking trail starts here and goes around the lake.

I am very active and love hiking the trails, dirt biking and quading (4 wheelers) with my son. I go to Lake Arrowhead every chance I get, to unwind, relieve stress and center myself. I am a warm and caring women and the cabin is a reflection of that.

The pictures do not do this vacation home proper justice! My sister and I took our kids and stayed here in early January 2012 for 3 nights. The home has such a nice open feeling, 2 large bedrooms are found on one side of the living room and another larger bedroom flanks the other side. A large fireplace, large coffee table and sectional sofa makes the perfect environment for settling in for a great movie or board games, or silent moments to just take in the surroundings. The kitchen as everything you could desire, make sure you check out the frig and cabinets before making any trips to a grocery store, all supplies and condiments you could need are probably already there. The beds and bedding is very comfy, just as one may find at a high end hotel. The home is easy to find, and is nestled in neighborhoods surrounding the Tavern Bay area of Lake Arrowhead, and nestled amongst some rather large manors. When opening the door, I was shocked to look straight and see a perfect view of the lake just beyond the couch and balcony. Yes, the views truly are picture perfect! It is an en easy walk through the meandering streets to the private beach, private docks, playground, picnic tables, and sandy beach. The UCLA conference center is directly across the street from the private beach. I would like to add GREAT customer service too! She is always available by phone whenever there are questions. The home is simply a perfect vacation home for my family. The home is perfectly comfortable and producing a truly relaxing environment. I am sure to return there many times, throughout the year, winter, spring, summer and fall.

We just got home from a two night/three day stay at this charming and comfy and cozy cabin. Yes, as all the 68 previous reviews stated, the view of the lake really IS that great! We are senior's and we especially enjoyed the one level home after a very easy wide cement (and well lit at night) stairway into the cabin. The private "lane" or street that winds around the neighborhood is an easy walk that we strolled on many times with our little doggy. It was like out of a story-book. Quite charming. Marilyn was so easy to work with as far as the rental process went. Her home is stocked with everything you will need except for your own belongings. The gas fireplace is a real plus and the deck was quite large. We enjoyed weather from a sunny and clear day to rain/wind/hail/fog and snowflakes this morning. We regretted not being able to stay another night. We will be back as soon as we can clear our calendar for another get-away. The beds are extrememly comfortable with warming pads and elegant down comforters with high thread-count sheets that were heavenly. There are plenty of dishes, pots, pans, utensils, spices available for your use. We have never been supplied TP/Paper-towels/bar soap and kleenex in a VRBO rental. All the furniture was very comfortable and yes, it is true that there is a HUGE selection of great movies to watch and music to listen to. We would have preferred a little larger TV to cozy up by the fire and watch movies but it did not detract in any way from the wonderful, positive energy that you will feel in this "home away from home." We enjoyed the great food at the Belgium Waffle House in the Village and a great burger/malt at the Cedar Glen Malt Shop. We were very relaxed from the moment we walked into the cabin. Thank you for sharing your home with us. The pride you take in your home is so appreciated.We will be back!

As I look off the deck, the lake sparkles like Christmas lights. A soft wind moves through the empty tree branches. Spiced cider on the stove wafts into the living room. The fireplace lies cold because the sun pours through the front window warming the couch and rocking chair. The home here is a relaxing retreat and I look forward to enjoying it in the summer.
