Not Just Lake View! AMAZING Lake View!!

My wife, two teenage boys and I enjoyed this spontaneous trip to the mountains. The views from this classic Lake Arrowhead home are absolutely amazing. You can see every ripple on the lake and in the summer, watching the boats would be a blast. The three bedrooms are very nice size and the kitchen was equipped for all our needs. The living room and kitchen provided just the right space for us. The front deck addresses the lake view and would be a great place to hang out if we weren't so busy. We did get time to walk down to the lake, which was a very direct path and walking along the lake was lots of fun. The houses in the vicinity that you walk past are incredible properties and definitely have wow factor. The Tavern Beach Club is the first thing you come to when you reach the lake, and this cabin offers you access to that private and worthwhile looking facility. Everything was covered with snow during our stay, so beach going was not in our plans. The mountain was beautiful in the snow and roads were all well maintained. We didn't need them, but chains or 4WD should be available, and I can imagine doing some shoveling if the storm had been any bigger.

We had a funfilled St Patty,s weekend in the snow. The view of the lake and the fresh air...ahh! The kids had a great time exploring outside in the snow. we played games, cooked meals, and hung out by the fire. (Not to mention the movies) We'll be back! very comfortable. Thank you

We just stayed here for 2 nights. I was with my wife, 2daughters, granddaughter & dog. Everyone loved it especially our golden retriever. The views are great. What a great little street. It's like a private leafy lane overlooking the lake. The bedding was great. This place was very well stocked. Fantastic lake view deck. Not real big about 1100 to 1200 square feet but very comfortable. . We will be back.

Marilyn's place was really nice. A little tight eating quarters for the six adults and two children but we made it work. The view from the living room and back deck was amazing; it was nice to sit out there and relax. Sitting in the living room with the fireplace warming us up was a really nice feature. Tough to find at night since its located on a little street, but we all made it. Marilyn was great to work with, my brother showed up early without getting the info from me, but she helped him find the key so he could enter earlier in the day.

The pictures do not do this vacation home proper justice! My sister and I took our kids and stayed here in early January 2012 for 3 nights. The home has such a nice open feeling, 2 large bedrooms are found on one side of the living room and another larger bedroom flanks the other side. A large fireplace, large coffee table and sectional sofa makes the perfect environment for settling in for a great movie or board games, or silent moments to just take in the surroundings. The kitchen as everything you could desire, make sure you check out the frig and cabinets before making any trips to a grocery store, all supplies and condiments you could need are probably already there. The beds and bedding is very comfy, just as one may find at a high end hotel. The home is easy to find, and is nestled in neighborhoods surrounding the Tavern Bay area of Lake Arrowhead, and nestled amongst some rather large manors. When opening the door, I was shocked to look straight and see a perfect view of the lake just beyond the couch and balcony. Yes, the views truly are picture perfect! It is an en easy walk through the meandering streets to the private beach, private docks, playground, picnic tables, and sandy beach. The UCLA conference center is directly across the street from the private beach. I would like to add GREAT customer service too! She is always available by phone whenever there are questions. The home is simply a perfect vacation home for my family. The home is perfectly comfortable and producing a truly relaxing environment. I am sure to return there many times, throughout the year, winter, spring, summer and fall.

Twas the night before Christmas and all thru the house, the goldens were sleeping, no sign of a mouse. No stockings were hung...not even a tree, but that didn't matter for my family and me. We hiked in the woods, we slid in the snow, we played in the yards of people we don't know. We laughed, we cooked, played games from the hall We are bonding this Christmas...The best gift of all. What a cute & cozy house you have there! It is so charming and seems so full of happy history. It's nice, quiet and peaceful, and we enjoyed watching the birds, squirrels & chipmunks in the surrounding trees. We went on a couple of nice hikes and one time got surprised by snow-it was lovely to get back to the cabin, sit in front of the fireplace & have hot chocolate while watching the snowflakes dance outside. Thanks for letting us stay & enjoy this wonderful treasure house.

We just got home from a two night/three day stay at this charming and comfy and cozy cabin. Yes, as all the 68 previous reviews stated, the view of the lake really IS that great! We are senior's and we especially enjoyed the one level home after a very easy wide cement (and well lit at night) stairway into the cabin. The private "lane" or street that winds around the neighborhood is an easy walk that we strolled on many times with our little doggy. It was like out of a story-book. Quite charming. Marilyn was so easy to work with as far as the rental process went. Her home is stocked with everything you will need except for your own belongings. The gas fireplace is a real plus and the deck was quite large. We enjoyed weather from a sunny and clear day to rain/wind/hail/fog and snowflakes this morning. We regretted not being able to stay another night. We will be back as soon as we can clear our calendar for another get-away. The beds are extrememly comfortable with warming pads and elegant down comforters with high thread-count sheets that were heavenly. There are plenty of dishes, pots, pans, utensils, spices available for your use. We have never been supplied TP/Paper-towels/bar soap and kleenex in a VRBO rental. All the furniture was very comfortable and yes, it is true that there is a HUGE selection of great movies to watch and music to listen to. We would have preferred a little larger TV to cozy up by the fire and watch movies but it did not detract in any way from the wonderful, positive energy that you will feel in this "home away from home." We enjoyed the great food at the Belgium Waffle House in the Village and a great burger/malt at the Cedar Glen Malt Shop. We were very relaxed from the moment we walked into the cabin. Thank you for sharing your home with us. The pride you take in your home is so appreciated.We will be back!

There is nothing but wonderful for this cabin (House). From the view, decor and coziness!! Please don't rent if you don't intend to take care of this upscale rental. The owner has gone out of her way to make this a special place!! Marilyn is professional in every way and trust me that isn't the case with alot of other rentals on this website. As I look off the deck, the lake sparkles like Christmas lights. A soft wind moves through the empty tree branches. Spiced cider on the stove wafts into the living room. The fireplace lies cold because the sun pours through the front window warming the couch and rocking chair. The home here is a relaxing retreat and I look forward to enjoying it in the summer. Thank you Marilyn for providing a very nice home for our Arrowhead vacation. We truly enjoyed our stay and loved the location and the view. Being secluded along with just a few cabins on the narrow private lane gave us the serenity one looks for in a mountain get-a-away. The living room with the fireplace and comfy couch as well as the equally nice bedrooms made for a great place to rest and relax. The place has the right mix of the comforts of home and a cabin feel with the large deck overlooking the lake. Something our Westie - Chloe really enjoyed. Having all the main living areas on one level was so nice. It gave us the family togetherness we were looking forward to; even down to sharing dishwashing duties in your quaint kitchen. We also took advantage of your close proximity to the Arrowhead lake trail, with many long walks and lake gazing. We were very fortunate to have had beautiful Fall weather. Thank you again for providing such a nice place to spend a vacation. We definitely will be wanting to come back.

This home was well stocked with all that is needed to drive up, unpack and enjoy. Marilyn, I thank you for the accurate and up to date pictures of your home. Too many times the home is not as it is pictured and yours was. We found your home to be clean and immediately felt very comfortable. The livingroom is comfy and just the right size. The beds were better than ours at home. We took the short drive into the Village for October Fest celebrations. Enjoyed long walks and some much needed peace and quiet. Marilyn, We had a fabulous time in your home. From the moment I stepped in your home i felt comfortable and so cozy. I love the "cottage" feel and your decor is so lovely. We spent time enjoying coffee on the deck watching the passing boats, squirrels & beautiful birds. Our family loved our vacation in your cabin-thanks for sharing it! The location is ideal--on a private lane with very little traffic and a wonderful view of the lake. The cabin is very cozy and comfortable with lots of extras that we enjoyed (the large deck with padded lounges, down comforters, a piano, cable TV + internet access and a well-equipped kitchen). We cooked most of our meals, but did eat lunch at Arrowhead Village twice: at Papagallo's and the Belgium Waffle House (both good). Our family consists of 6 adults + one 2-month old baby + a big dog and had room for all of us. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants a rustic get-away with all the comforts of home.
