me and 5 friends rented the cabin for my 40th bday. We had so much fun. We really didnt even need to leave the cabin for fun, as it was stocked with just about everything you need. We didnt even have snow on our visit, but still had so much fun. The view from the deck is great and the house is totally cozy and cute. We would for sure rent this cabin again.

This was our second time staying at this beautiful cabin and we have nothing but good things to tell. The view is breathtaking and the cabin is well equiped. There is something to do for everyone in this cabin. Working with Marilyn is very easy and she makes the renting process seamless. She is verry accessible to all questions you may have and very helpful. All the information in the website is accurate. As soon as you open the cabin door you will be wowed. If you are looking for a peaceful place this is it.

We enjoyed a weekend stay at this cabin and it was just what we had hoped for. The photos were spot on, we could see the lake from the back porch and it was clean and comfortable. We liked the fact that the owner had items to help entertain the kids available for us to use and appreciated the fully stocked kitchen when we were preparing breakfast before our excursions and dinner before bed. The owner was friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this to a friend.

We had a wonderful long weekend stay in Marilyn's cabin. We could not be more pleased that we chose to stay there. It was the perfect place to stay with our young kids. (They loved watching the birds eat from the bird feeder, and the toys that were there were great fun for them!) It is very homey and comfortable and it really feels like you're staying in a friend's place. The view is fantastic and the lake is a short walk away. The beds are to die for! Marilyn was very helpful and the rental process was seamless! I would certainly recommend this property to my friends and family and we look forward to staying again soon!

We had an excellent time with our three young children during this visit. Marilyn was extremely helpful, as everyone has mentioned, and the house was adorable. We loved the coziness, the decor, and especially the location. We were pleasantly surprised to find so many ammenities, such as games, coloring books, sleds, and movies. A little bit of Heaven in the mountains!

This little cabin is straight out of a storybook - beautiful view, wonderful fireplace and absolutely the most comfortable beds and bedding you will ever sleep in. It snowed much of the time we were there so we put the mattress warmers and the cozy fireplace to good use. We spent hours on the wonderfully comfortable sofa watching the snow & viewing movies on the flat screen TV. The kitchen is fully stocked and if you plan on cooking in, you will have everything you need - including spices. There are fun games, toys for all ages and great movies & books. My husband and I were there with our two sons, their wives and our two year old Grandson and we all agree we want to go back to Marilyn's cabin. Marilyn was wonderful to work with. She called us the first night to make sure we had gotten there and that everything was in working order. It seemed to be important to her that we have a good time. You will not regret renting this wonderful little cabin. We will definitely rent there again! Thanks Marilyn for sharing your little bit of Heaven with our family.

super relaxing!

We stayed here with our three children and my parents. The cabin was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed. The kids found lots of toys to play with, which was such an unexpected surprise for us. They loved all of the trucks and little dogs in the cabinet. The beds were all very comfortable. And the sheets are quite nice as I read in the other reviews. I really enjoyed working with Marilyn. The rental process was very easy and I knew exactly what was expected. The views from the cabin are also breath taking. I enjoyed watching the birds visit the bird feeder outside my bedroom window each morning. All of us had a great time!

Truly a slice of heaven. (And Marilyn being an angel, herself!) never used VRBO and was nervous. It was FANATASTIC. The house is represented well by the pictures but it doesn't capture the coziness of the place. With a wall of windows with southern exposure facing the lake it's sunny and bright all day long. The couch is something to sink into for hours. And the beds are clouds of delight! I'm reluctant to say too much because I want Marilyn's house available to me all the time!!

We just had the most wonderful time at Marylins cabin. The house felt just like home and the location could not be better. We walked around the lake, played in the nearby playground and searched for acorns. It was so relaxing to knit in the back deck overlooking the amazing views. Thank you Marylin for making us feel so welcomed and for sharing all your things with your guests.

I rented the VRBO in Oct with a girlfriend. (Check my previous review). I returned w/ my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter and dog a month later. They loved it! The view is out of this world. The location is perfect-- the beautiful deck, on a quiet street, short walk to the beach, hiking along water's edge. It was a gorgeous fall weekend with some rain, colored leaves, expressive clouds and breathtaking skies. We took about 4 hikes/day and enjoyed the evenings in this beautiful, clean, cozy, well stocked cabin. Looking forward to another visit.

Once again, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing vacation at this wonderful cabin. We have been coming up to Lake Arrowhead off and on for the last 25 yrs and Marilyn's cabin is fast becoming our favorite place. This was our second chance to enjoy everything the cabin has to offer and we still can't get over how nice the view is and the accommodations for the value. Since our last visit in 2010 we noticed the little improvements Marilyn has done; such as a new roof, front porch portico, new living room light fixtures and a flat screen TV. With the extra nice bedding, the large bedrooms, the big comfy sofa and the views from most all of the rooms; the place just seems like an extension of home, but in the mountains! We really like the many different options one has to take long walks along the lake trails, walking the neighborhood viewing all the beautiful cabins in the area or just relaxing on the large deck. It is also great that we can bring along our Westie and she can enjoy this place too! Marilyn was very accommodating and great to deal with. Thank you again for sharing your cabin.

Feels Like Home!

Our family went for the weekend, but didn't want to leave! It felt like home from the moment we opened the door and walked in, and the VIEW, the VIEW...is spectacular! The bedding was phenomenal, way more than what we expected - everyone commented how soft and comfy it was. We walked to the beach and fell in love with the area. It was a perfect weekend, spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the VIEW! We've rented several other nice homes in Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake, but this home is far and away the most inviting, comfortable, with the best VIEW of all. We will definitely returnr! The owner, Marilyn, is extremely generous and gracious. The layout is great for couples, families, and pet friendly! Highly recommend!

This past weekend my family and I rented the cabin and we had an incredible weekend. The cabin was really cozy, super clean and we felt right at home. My wife and I were extremely happy with the accommodations. The sheets on the beds were so comfortable that my wife even asked Marilyn where she could purchase them. It turned out that they were on all the beds. I loved grilling on the deck while taking in the view looking over the lake. My wife loved the full kitchen and we all loved eating her great country breakfasts out on the deck while the lake came alive with activities in the mornings. Usually when we go to the lake we are thinking about a location near everything and this cabin worked out great. Saturday we took a 10 minute drive to the Lake Arrowhead Village. My wife shopped at the stores and the kids loved the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. On Sunday we took a 10 minute drive in the other direction to the Bluejay Cinema. We caught a movie and then went down the road to a local restaurant called "The Grill" for some good old American food. As far as lake activities, we were a short 5-10 minute walk from the lake and that was priceless. We were able to book some days here again in December. We are already looking forward to it. What a perfect weekend in a cozy, clean cabin with a breath-taking view of the lake on a quite street. The beach was a close walk and the path around the lake was a fun adventure also. The floor plan of this cabin is great. We spent most of our day and evenings on the deck. The view is even better than the picture above! Can't wait to return.

Cozy and Comfortable Getaway Spot

My husband, one year old son and I rented this cabin in Lake Arrowhead for a little family getaway and had a wonderful time. The view from the deck in wonderful and is the perfect spot for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at sunset. The cabin is located just minutes from the village and grocery stores yet is remote enough that you feel alone in the woods. The rooms are very cozy and Marylin was happy to answer all questions we had. This was a wonderful spot and we look forward to returning.

So cozy and nice! Better than expected! View of the lake was fabulous with a nice big deck. Loved that the owner had such attention to detail, stocked with salt, pepper, butter, spices, high quality linens, towels. Everything we needed was there! We came for a little work, a "creative retreat", and it was so quiet and a perfect for brainstorming, sprinkled with fun hikes. Thanks for the recommendation for Belgian Waffle Works. "The Brussel" (Ham, Turkey and Swiss cheese sandwiched between belgian waffles with light powdered sugar and the one with Cinnamon Apples and whipped cream were the icing on the cake of a great mountain retreat. We had such an amazing time! Really enjoyed the property and will come again!

A cozy, quiet get-away spot where we enjoyed a view of the lake (within a short walk of the cabin) and the surrounding woods from the back deck. The cabin had everything we needed and we hope to return to enjoy the cool of fall. What a great break from the heat down the hill! We visited the village, took a boat ride around the lake, and enjoyed dinner at the Antlers.

Great place to stay and escape for a few days. We stayed there with our two kids, and enjoyed the house and its location. It was perfectly sized for our family of four. The beds were really comfortable, the kitchen stocked with everything you need, and our youngest especially enjoyed the Millennium Falcon! It was easy access to the beach club and convenient to the lakeside, though there aren't really any places to enjoy the lake without access to a dock. Overall, we would definitely rent again. Pretty little house convenient to the beach

As others have mentioned, this house is tastefully decorated with luxurious touches (namely the super-soft bedding), and the owner is obviously anxious to please. Being able to walk to the lake was nice and Tavern Bay Beach is a blast for kids plus very nicely maintained. Getting to stores or restaurants or adventurous hikes required quite a bit of winding-country-road driving, but that's just how Lake Arrowhead is laid out. It was a bit of a tight squeeze for two 4-person families but we made it work. I would think for two couples or one family or an intimate group of friends it would be quite comfortable.

Our Home Away from Home

I believe this was our 6th time staying at this lovely cabin. We keep returning again and again because there is absolutely no better place to stay in Lake Arrowhead. The cabin is so comfortable, and the view is simply breathtaking. It is beautiful at all times of the year - Spring, Summer, Winter and Fall. We've been coming to this cabin since our daughter was 2 years old (she's now 6), and each time she has had so much fun playing with the toys, sledding in the wintertime, and visiting the beach club (included with the rental!) playing on the play equipment there and swimming in the summertime at the private beach. It truly has been our "home away from home", and we plan to return again and again and again!

Marilyn's cabin was incredibly comfortable. It was very spacious for our family of four, and we can easily imagine renting it with another couple with children, as the small kids could share the room with the bunks and double bed. THe deck was exceptionally relaxing. Marilyn herself is a well-organized owner who communicates clearly and effectively, which we really appreciated. We hiked on the ALA trail around the lake, which was very nice, and visited the Tavern Bay and Burnt Mill beach clubs. Great, relaxing family holiday.

This is it. You will not be disappointed or have one regret. It was absolutely wonderful. Peaceful and quiet. The photos show exactly what to expect when you arrive but you will find so much more. I drove up to the home and thought "this is really nice" then when I opened the door I immediately had the most beautiful view of the lake. I instantly felt as if I were walking into my home. You will absolutely love the linen. You can relax on the deck and enjoy the fantastic view of the lake, hike, walk down to the beach, walk along the shore line or take a short drive to the Village. Everything you need is right there. The market is close by so you can pick up your food on the way. Thank you for sharing your warm and inviting home. It was great.

My family decided to rent this property because of the view, but nothing beats to seeing it real. It is spectacular, and waking up in the mornings, seeing the view was just breathe taking! It was our first time renting a vacation property, as we usually stay at hotels, so we didn't know what to expect. The house really exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, the bed and sheets were great, the towels provided were of high thread count, and the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, as well as condiments (in case you need it), and there were plenty of dvds and board games provided. The neighborhood was nice and quiet with very friendly neighbors, was walking distance to the trails and the Tavern Beach club. It really was better than staying at a hotel, and being that this was our first time, it was definitely a great experience. My family and I would love to stay at this property again !

We just got back in LA. Our family had such a great time. We really didn't know what to expect as it was our first time in the area, but boy, the whole place just took our breathe away! It's a whole 'nother world up there! Three days was too short, there were so many things we wanted to do! But it's okay, that only means we'll stay longer next time :-) Thank you for sharing with us your lovely home. It was just perfect for our family size and the view at the deck was amazing! Excellent view! I loved walking in the front door to the open shades of the living area to see the lake. The trails were amazing, insane houses all around with more than friendly neighbors. All the comforts of home with amazing bedding, so cozy. Definitely more than a cabin and more like a home. I am prone to allergies from dust and had absolutely no problems here, clean clean clean. Owner is professional and helpful in every way. We got in and went straight to town to have a look around and then hit the grocery store. Parked the car not to get in it again until we left. Complete kitchen with basic food items available as well. Would recommend 100 percent and hope to return someday.

Dear Marilyn, We had a wonderful time at your cabin. The weather was great, not too hot. The deck and view from the deck were exceptional!! We enjoyed hiking around the lake. We hiked to Cedar Glen Inn for lunch... quite a trek, but worth it for Taco Tuesday, burgers & a BLT. (Yummy!) While walking along the lake we found Stairway 51. This staircase is a great workout close to your place! We hiked it several times every day. My favorite pastime was sitting on the deck with a book, enjoying the spectacular view. My husband and I needed a short vacation close to home and we were delighted to find this home on VERBO. Everything was as described. The view and deck are amazing. I actually had time to read and take a nap on the deck with the warm breezes blowing through the trees – heavenly! We will be back!

My wife, two teenage boys and I enjoyed this spontaneous trip to the mountains. The views from this classic Lake Arrowhead home are absolutely amazing. You can see every ripple on the lake and in the summer, watching the boats would be a blast. The three bedrooms are very nice size and the kitchen was equipped for all our needs. The living room and kitchen provided just the right space for us. The front deck addresses the lake view and would be a great place to hang out if we weren't so busy. We did get time to walk down to the lake, which was a very direct path and walking along the lake was lots of fun. The houses in the vicinity that you walk past are incredible properties and definitely have wow factor. The Tavern Beach Club is the first thing you come to when you reach the lake, and this cabin offers you access to that private and worthwhile looking facility. Everything was covered with snow during our stay, so beach going was not in our plans. The mountain was beautiful in the snow and roads were all well maintained. We didn't need them, but chains or 4WD should be available, and I can imagine doing some shoveling if the storm had been any bigger.

We had a funfilled St Patty,s weekend in the snow. The view of the lake and the fresh air...ahh! The kids had a great time exploring outside in the snow. we played games, cooked meals, and hung out by the fire. (Not to mention the movies) We'll be back! very comfortable. Thank you

We just stayed here for 2 nights. I was with my wife, 2daughters, granddaughter & dog. Everyone loved it especially our golden retriever. The views are great. What a great little street. It's like a private leafy lane overlooking the lake. The bedding was great. This place was very well stocked. Fantastic lake view deck. Not real big about 1100 to 1200 square feet but very comfortable. . We will be back.

Marilyn's place was really nice. A little tight eating quarters for the six adults and two children but we made it work. The view from the living room and back deck was amazing; it was nice to sit out there and relax. Sitting in the living room with the fireplace warming us up was a really nice feature. Tough to find at night since its located on a little street, but we all made it. Marilyn was great to work with, my brother showed up early without getting the info from me, but she helped him find the key so he could enter earlier in the day.

Thank you for sharing your home with our family. The kids loved it here. Our almost 2 year old really enjoyed exploring and playing on the deck. The pictures do not do this vacation home proper justice! My sister and I took our kids and stayed here in early January 2012 for 3 nights. The home has such a nice open feeling, 2 large bedrooms are found on one side of the living room and another larger bedroom flanks the other side. A large fireplace, large coffee table and sectional sofa makes the perfect environment for settling in for a great movie or board games, or silent moments to just take in the surroundings. The kitchen as everything you could desire, make sure you check out the frig and cabinets before making any trips to a grocery store, all supplies and condiments you could need are probably already there. The beds and bedding is very comfy, just as one may find at a high end hotel. The home is easy to find, and is nestled in neighborhoods surrounding the Tavern Bay area of Lake Arrowhead, and nestled amongst some rather large manors. When opening the door, I was shocked to look straight and see a perfect view of the lake just beyond the couch and balcony. Yes, the views truly are picture perfect! It is an en easy walk through the meandering streets to the private beach, private docks, playground, picnic tables, and sandy beach. The UCLA conference center is directly across the street from the private beach. I would like to add GREAT customer service too! She is always available by phone whenever there are questions. The home is simply a perfect vacation home for my family. The home is perfectly comfortable and producing a truly relaxing environment. I am sure to return there many times, throughout the year, winter, spring, summer and fall.

Twas the night before Christmas and all thru the house, the goldens were sleeping, no sign of a mouse. No stockings were hung...not even a tree, but that didn't matter for my family and me. We hiked in the woods, we slid in the snow, we played in the yards of people we don't know. We laughed, we cooked, played games from the hall We are bonding this Christmas...The best gift of all. Thank you
