This large and comfortable apartment is situated at the via dei Fienili in a small and exclusive neighborhood of the old centre of Rome, just behind Piazza Venezia, the Ghetto (Jewish Quarter), the Forum, the Bocca della Verità, Coliseum, the Circo Massimo, the Forum and many other historical sites. Shops, restaurants, hotels are downstairs. Bus stops, tub station, are just on the corner

The apartment was renovated with hihg quality materials only a few years ago and is on the third and fourth floor of a small family building. The furniture is a mixture of antiques and modern design. Beds and linens are updated. Bathrooms and kitchen are tiled with hand painted ceramics and have modern fittings. The rooms have parquet floors. Third floor (or second in Europe): the entrance, kitchen, dining and sitting room, 3 double bedrooms with double or single beds, and 3 bathrooms (1 with tub, 2 with showers)

2 staircases are leading to the 4th floor (or third in Europe): 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 single but a second bed can be joined), laundry and little kitchenette, 100sqm panoramic terrace furnished with sitting and dining facilities for 10 persons, umbrellas and many flowering plants.

THE APARTMENT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR SMALLER CHILDREN BECAUSE OF OPEN STAIRS.

  • A group of 7 of us stayed very comfortably in this lovely apartment. We had plenty of room to spread out and the accommodations were perfect. Being close to the historic sites made touring very easy.

    Hi Mara: here my review This was my second trip to Rome. My companion and I decided to travel with a group of eight other friends. We decided to rent an apartment to save costs and what e great idea this turned to be! We chose Mara & Mario's gorgeous apartment complete with a rooftop garden and were thrilled to have obtained a reservation mid-October. Mara was so helpful and thorough in arranging our stay and in coordinating the arrangements with us. When we arrived at the apartment we were thrilled upon seeing the property. It was so beautiful and clean with more then enough space to acomodate our large group. Imagine spending an evening sleeping in a charming bedroom overlooking the Palatine hill. The apartment was within walking distance of Trastevere where we spent 2 evenings shopping and dining on the excellent cuisine of Rome. Down the street from the apartment is a charming little Italian Specialty 'I Fienili Alimetari' where we bought all our groceries for breakfast and cocktail hour. After six great days in Rome, we did not want to leave. However, I tossed a coin in Trevi fountain so who knows, perhaps, my dream will come true and I'll return to Rome again where I will stay at Mara & Mario's residence. Down the street from the apartment, is a charming little Italian Specialty Deli "I Fielini Alimentari" where we bought all of our groceries for breakfast and cocktail hour. After 5 great days in Rome we did not want to leave.   • We spent 4 delightful days with 9 family members. The accomidations were better than expected. The roof top terazza is wonderful. We cooked two big pasta dinners and had all the utincels servings we needed. Mario and Mara are very gracious hosts.

The roof garden is so pleaseant that we came together each evening to enjoy cocktails and dinner on the roof, instead of going out! Mara and Mario are wonderful and responsive hosts. We had plenty of room, the apartment is VERY clean and the location is UNBEATABLE. Thank you Mara and Mario!

  • This was our first visit to Rome. We feel so blessed to have found the perfect location. Truly can walk to everything and transportation. Plenty of room for two families traveling together. Safe, quiet, clean and the added bonus of a lovely market with helpful staff a few doors away. Highly recommend this one.

  • We stayed at the apartment with another couple for two weeks and everthing was great! The apartment is very spacious and bright. Three - four couples can stay here easily and feel very comfortable. Location is the best in Rome and the rooftop garden makes you feel like you are in an Italian movie. We hope to stay there again!Highly recommended.

  • Dear Mara and Mario, Thank you for your help in arranging transportation to and from the airport. The apartment was wonderful, plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 children, and close to everything. We walked everwhere. We loved the little market just up the street - they had the best pesto. We will stay here again when we return to Rome.

  • This apartment is beuatiful! Our family (adult children and spouses) stayed the week of Thanksgiving. It slept all 8 of us with plenty of room to spare. We also made several meals there in the very well-equipped kitchen. This apt has a perfect location, within walking distance to most of the historical sites. You can actually see one of the walls of the Roman Forum from the master bedroom window! Very close to the Piazza Venezia. The owner, Mara, is so helpful and friendly. I would definately go back and stay there again! Thank you Mara for letting us rent your beuatiful apt! Teresa & Thomas
