This home on Lake Gaston is ideal for enjoying vacation. After spending a fun-filled day on the pristine waters of Lake Gaston, the sunroom is perfect for sitting and enjoying the spectacular lake view.

This beautiful home features 2 levels with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The main level has a large kitchen with an eat-in bar, a dining area and large living room overlooking the lake, 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The 9.5 x 34' sunroom is on the main level and is beautifully furnished with wicker furniture for relaxing & enjoyable viewing of the lake. The sunroom also has a large table & cushioned chairs for dining. The lower level supports a game room with an Air Hockey table, a half-kitchen with a refrigerator, a den, 2 additional bedrooms and a full bath.

The main living area has a 27-inch TV with using Satellite. There is a DVD/VCR player and a stereo. This room has 2 six-foot sliders opening to the sunroom. This room features a sofa, love seat and chairs for socializing or watching the TV or a movie on the DVD/VCR player. The large kitchen opens to the dining area and living area.

The downstairs living area has a game room with an Air Hockey table, a queen sleeper sofa, a love seat, Satellite TV with DVD player. There are 2 six-foot sliders that open to a ground level patio with a picnic table. The lake is a short walk from the patio. The house has central air-conditioning and heat (2 zones) with ceiling fans in all living areas and bedrooms.

The complete kitchen on the upper level has electric range, refrigerator, over-the-range microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and all amenities for complete meal preparation and enjoyment. There is a table and chairs in the dining area with a great view of the lake. The lower level half-kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave, sink, coffee pot, and other amenities for easy meal preparations.

The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and private bath with a tub/shower. There is a second bedroom on the upper level with a queen-size bed and another full bath with a tub/shower. There are 2 bedrooms on the lower level with a king-size bed and the other with 2 twins. There is a full bath with a tub/shower. There is a queen-size sleeper sofa in the downstairs den. A laundry area is on the lower level and is equipped with a washer and dryer. Linens and towels are NOT provided. A telephone is available for local calls.

You may enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, and water sports from the dock. You may bring your own boat or rent from one of the local marinas. The dock is great for swimming and sunbathing with deep water. You can park your boat right up to the dock. Lake Gaston water is pure, ideal for swimming and fishing. Water-skiing and jet skiing too!

The normal height of the water at Lake Gaston is 200 feet above sea level and by regulation the water depth may vary only one foot plus or minus from the normal level except in case of emergency. And with virtually no pollution, the water is almost drinkable without treatment. Lake Gaston is a spectacular lake and a great spot to enjoy water sports, to fish, to boat, or to simply relax! This 30 mile long lake on the Virginia/North Carolina border (1.5 hour/Raleigh) is top for striper fishing and host to seasonal fishing competitions.

Property is ideal for relaxing or enjoying water activities. It is close to the main marina on lake that has grill and gazebo with a spectacular lake view. The Waters View Restaurant is also a short boat or car ride from the property. This restaurant has a great view of the lake while you are enjoying food and beverages. The Poplar Creek Marina also features outdoor lunches Wednesday through Sunday and dinners on Saturday & Sunday.

Lake Gaston is a large quiet lake with a water temperature over 80 degrees in the summer.

Lake Gaston is located in the states of North Carolina and Virginia. It is close to the major cities of Raleigh, North Carolina and Richmond, Virginia. This is a great spot if you love boating, fishing, water sports and an easy, relaxing, fun-filled vacation.

  • We had a wonderful time at this home. We were there for July 4 and loved the fireworks. It is clean, well located, well equipted. On great secluded area of lake but convienent to local stores. Great for tubing, fishing and swimming. Dock is good for small children. We had pontoon boat and had plenty of parking space on the dock. Owner is great to rent from. Very accomodating. Best lake house we have ever stayed in. Our grandchildren loved it. Going back again for Labor Day.

  • Best vacation we ever had!!! Our teenagers are already trying to plan the same vacation for next year. They had the best time. There were 7 of us, 4 adults and 3 teenagers and we still had plenty of room. Activities included swimming right off the private dock, we fished directly off the dock every evening (my 17 yr. old son caught an 8-10 lb. catfish right there around the dock), we all went boating and tubing and even had time to visit a local golf course (Tanglewood Country Club)and golf 18 holes. The house was great. Well equipped with everything we needed and sitting in the Lanai every evening looking at the lake was the most relaxed my family has been in years. Just loved it all and plan to rent again and again.

  • What a gem you have on this cove on Lake Gaston! The house was clean and spacious, and the kitchen was very well stocked. My kids has a blast jumping off of the boat house into the lake. We all enjoyed the water sports that Lake Gaston has to offer. Your house made us feel comfortable, relaxed and at home.

  • We had a WONDERFUL 4th of July week family reunion at Lake Gaston thanks to the Gilles family. Their home exceeded every expectation we had--it was clean, comfortable and accomodating in every way for our large family. It's in a prime location (nice quiet subdivision) just off the main lake so it is very private and peaceful yet close enough to get out to the main lake quickly and enjoy ski-tubing and fishing--plus no bridges to navigate with our boat that has a T-Top! The pictures just do not do this lovely property justice--renters will not be disappointed! Thanks again--we hope to return soon!

  • What a wonderful place to spend a vacation. The lake is beautiful and the house is very spacious and accomodated everyone comfortably. The lanai was a favorite of everyone...relaxing after a day in the sun and water. We can't wait to come back next year and enjoy the lake and the Gilles' beautiful home.

It fit three families comfortably, the house and grounds were in good shape, and the access to the main lake was just around the corner from the cove the house is situated in. It is a great place to relax, play, and spend time with the family. The Gilles were gracious hosts and we're already planning a return trip! Thanks Bill & Diane!
