"Just Daydreaming" is a charming mountain-top home located in the beautifully landscaped Misty Mountain community overlooking majestic Grandfather Mountain.
Step right out the front door for a stroll around the neighborhood. The paved mountain lanes meander around Misty Mountain, with views of Wilson Creek Gorge, and right into the Pisgah National Forest, where you can enjoy the natural scenery, as well as witness nature first hand. It’s not unusual to come across deer, rabbits and the occasional wild turkey.
This home is designed to be comfortable, peaceful, and quiet, both inside and out. The bedrooms and kitchen have a bright cottage feel and the great room and dining room are like stepping into a mountain lodge. The great room is flanked with a massive wood-burning stone fireplace. Two of the bedrooms have queen-size beds and the third bedroom has an antique full-size iron bed.
There are three levels of decks off the back of the house that draw you outside to witness the spectacular view of Grandfather Mountain. You may just want to sit down in one of the Adirondack chairs with a refreshing drink and good book to enjoy the serenity and fresh air. The deck is also great for entertaining, appointed with a gas grill and dinette set. The kids will love the old-fashioned swing hanging from one of the huge shade trees in the yard.
Adventures are abundant in the North Carolina High Country for numerous outdoor interests, as well as exceptional shopping and dining. Downtown Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway are just minutes away and numerous other High Country destinations, e.g., Linville, Banner Elk, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, Valle Crucis and Boone, are all within a short drive.
Blowing Rock is a beautiful vacation destination during all four seasons.
