Destin-on-the-Gulf has the best views in Destin! This is a 2BR/2BA condo on the sixth floor. We're on Holiday Isle, which is a beautiful, quiet area tucked away from the traffic noise of Highway 98. Our beach has plenty of room, is in great shape, unlike many that have suffered from beach erosion. Our sixth-floor unit has been recently decorated with new furniture in the living room and new carpeting in the bedrooms.
Our condo was just updated in October 2011 with new granite countertops, sinks, and fixtures in the kitchen and baths. The entire condo has been repainted. Please contact us, and we will send you more photos than appear here.
Come and relax on our sugar white beaches and enjoy the fun amenities Destin has to offer like golf, deep-sea fishing, and parasailing. The beaches are clean and waiting for you!
The community of Holiday Isle is close to restaurants and shopping but away from the main drag. It is an uncongested, beautifully maintained section of Destin with sidewalks for walking and bike-riding after an amazing day on the beach. We also did some jet-skiing while we were there. It was AWESOME!
After entering Holiday Isle, you will see many gorgeous single-family homes before entering our building's property, Destin-on-the-Gulf. You have a view of the private homes from your sixth-floor balcony, as well as the white sand and emerald green waters of the Gulf. Destin-on-the-Gulf has a pool (heated from March until November), workout room, and community room. There is free wireless internet in the condo(for those who feel they need it!) There is also a restroom on the ground floor, so you won't have to take frequent trips up to your condo.
Our condo features a king-size bed in the large master bedroom with its own bath with his-and-her sinks. The guest bedroom is perfect for the kids with two twin beds. Another full bath is just outside their door. The pull-out queen-size sofa can accommodate two additional guests.
Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a casual dinner at home. The new dining set seats six alongside a breakfast bar with two stools.
A washer and dryer is available on each floor for the use of our guests, and there is free wi-fi for your use as well!
This amazing getaway provides a panoramic view of the shoreline of the Emerald Coast. Bring your binoculars for viewing the fishing boats, parasailers, and families of dolphin romping in the surf. From almost every room, you can see the shoreline of Destin with its emerald green waters and sugary white beaches.
For peace of mind, you can see your kids swimming in the heated pool directly from your balcony. Since Destin-on-the-Gulf is a small community, you don't have to worry about them wandering around a massive complex. We welcome families!
Just in case you want to take a day's break from the beach and pool, there are many things to do nearby, from world-class charter fishing excursions to golfing or romping at the water park, Big Kahuna's. Our island is so beautiful, you might also just want to take a stroll down the sidewalk or down the beach to the jetty to see the boats come in and out of the harbor. If you don't want to cook a night or two, there are plenty of restaurants available within minutes of your door.

My wife and I were a little skeptical about going to Destin during the "oil disaster" of 2010 as described by the media. Fortunately for us we had met a couple of people while planning our trip that had just come back from the Gulf and expressed how lovely that it was. This was our 1st tip to the Emerald Coast but will certainly not be our last. Kathy's Condo at Destin on the Gulf was fantastic. It was just off of Gulf Shores Drive which is a road along the Gulf but not on busy 98. We had a Target with a Starbucks inside, a Winn Dixie, and Movie Theatre just at the end of our street. The Condo itself was lovely, it was located on the 6th floor and it was lovely with beachfront Gulf Views. The condo building has nice carts to transport your stuff up and down the elevators. The pool wasn't large but was perfectly situated between the lobby and the walk to the beach. It was a small 42 unit building but just right for us. The unit was well kept with a stocked kitchen and a new large flatscreen TV. Restaurants were in close proximity to the condo. The Harborwalk area near the bridge going into Fort Walton was especially lovely. We went to Baytown at the Sandestin resort which I highly recommend, losts of stufff for the kids to do and many restaurants. Stay away from Poppy's seafood and Hammerheads; we had horrible service at two of their restaurants. McGuire's Irish pub was great and we placed our dollar on the ceiling along with the 900,000 that were already there. Harry T’s at Harborwalk was great as well, especially upstairs where they serve live music. You can not beat the breakfast spot and the location of Another Broken Egg Restaurant at Baytown, it was very cool. Overall it was a 5 star vacation. My wife and two kids loved it and we will definitely be back. My one suggestion would be a guest book in the condo where people could leave suggestions of the fun things that they found to do while they were there and to let others know of the places to stay away from.
