Welcome to our riverside retreat. This beautiful Winter Park condo is located right on the Fraser River near a designated wet land and yet is still just a short walk to restaurants, shopping, and the local cinema. The free ski shuttle bus stops at the end of the building and takes you the two miles to the ski area. The complex has an indoor pool and four hot tubs for you to enjoy.
The entire two-bedroom condo was completely remodeled in the summer of ‘06 with family and friends in mind. The master bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed, and a twin trundle bed. The sofa sleeper offers an additional queen bed in the living room.
We provide our guests with all the comforts of home: linens, towels, paper goods, shampoo, soap and lotion, plus complementary beverages. The kitchen has all you might need to cook your favorite meals. After dinner you can cozy up with the wood-burning fireplace. A wide selection of music, movies, books, and games are available for guests to use when spending time in the condo.
You may never get a chance to use these things though with all there is to do outdoors in Winter Park. It is a year round vacation destination. Winter sports abound with world class skiing and boarding. Snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, sleigh rides, and snowmobiling are also available. Spring brings the wildlife back into view. Guests might see moose, elk, fox, deer, coyote, martin, bear, and birds of all kinds. Summer is delightful for hiking, mountain biking (over 600 miles of trails), fishing, rock climbing, golfing, horse back riding, festivals of all kinds, and just relaxing by the banks of the river. Autumn in the Rockies is a sight not to be missed. The aspen turn beautiful shades of red and gold, the willows turn rust, and frost glistens in the early morning light.

Why the Owner Chose Hi Country Haus
After looking at more than 70 condos in Winter Park and nearby Fraser we decided on this cozy gem. It has the perfect location; close to town yet it still feels like you are in the mountains and communing with nature. The whole family pitched in that summer to completely remodel the condo to make it more comfortable and welcoming. It has been the BEST investment we have ever made in our family. Come ski season we are frequently up there hoping for fresh powder. Our children choose to ski over all other sports and have yet to tell us that they don't want to go to Winter Park. In the summer we go up during the quiet of midweek to hike, fish, and just relax by the rushing river. It is such a lovely place it makes me sad to think that sometimes it sits empty. Everyone would benefit from time spent there relaxing and recharging.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Hi Country Haus condo complex is ideally located. Once you park your car there really isn't any need to start it up again. You can walk to everything you need and might want to see in town. There are bike trails leading off from the complex that you can ride or hike. And if you want to ski, just hop on the shuttle. By far my favorite thing is to just chill by the river and soak in all those negative ions. My mood and spirit lifts.
The rec center has an indoor pool and 4 indoor hot tubs, laundry facilities, a pool table and arcade games, WiFi, and a printer if you need a page or two.

Centrally located park with a playground, skate park, live music (in the summer) and sledding (in the winter).
Stop at the bronze moose and get a wealth of information. Free stickers for your board or bottle, trail maps, restaurant information, tours/hikes, and schedules of events.
Lots of unique stores and restaurants. A coffee shop, bakery, and wine bar for snacks. Gear shops for finding new gloves or replacing your shades. Covered outdoor ice skating rink free if you have your own skates or just a few bucks to rent some.
Hike up the slopes of the old Idlewild ski area for some fantanstic free sledding.
Shuttle stop for the blue line to the Winter Park ski area. During ski season the shuttle stops twice an hour and we are one of the early stops so there is usually plenty of room.
Across from the grocery store is a variety type store that carries a small selection of nearly everything.
Newly built in 2010 a fabulous new rec center with a great indoor pool with many water features.

My husband and I are both school teachers. He works in a middle school while I teach primary students. We have two children who are rapidly approaching their last few years home with us. The riverside condo is our special place to create family memories. It is large enough to comfortably accommodate us yet small enough to mandate that we spend our time there as a family--no escaping to the basement or a friend’s house ;-) We love going there to relax and reconnect after crazy busy school weeks and to escape the heat and ever-present chores at home in the summer.

Our family of 5 stayed in this condo last April and was completely satisfied! It has everything you need, is spacious and the scenery is gorgeous. It is located close to everything you need and Winterpark skiing. We will come back to this condo year after year. We loved it!

Great condo. Very clean and nice furniture. Recently remodeled. Owners easy to work with. We will stay there again! Great location. Pool is big and was not busy. The only down side was noisy upstairs neighbors.
