Nestled at the edge of a cooling forest, Hidden Creek Cabin is a haven of peace and beauty. The sounds of the creek and birdsong in the 21 acres behind, the view of wild flowers, bumble bees, hummingbirds, and the ever-changing hills in front, make this the place for a true vacation. This beautifully decorated cabin has four large bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living rooms, kitchen, utility room and large deck for outdoor dining.
After an exciting morning spent rafting the Nantahala River or soothing your soul on the Nantahala Lake, sit back and soak up the afternoon sun on the spacious deck while dinner is cooking on the outdoor grill. Afterwards watch fireflies put on their own personal fireworks display below you in the half-acre garden. As the evening turns cool cuddle up in front of either of the two fireplaces and plan for your next adventurous day in the Great Smoky Mountains.
This area was considered a special place to the Cherokee Indians; in Cherokee, Nantahala means Land of the Noon Day Sun. Today it is a small community but is brimming with positivity and possibilities. This is a much loved home and location to the owners and we hope whoever else might come to visit will fall in love with it too.
Hidden Creek Cabin is easily accessible and every necessity is provided for (see amenities). The accommodation can also be rented as a two bedroom/two bath per night. The cabin is located on Hidden Creek Road just off of Wayah Road and can be reached without the need for a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
Lake Nantahala is just one mile down the road and the Nantahala Outdoor Center is 20 minutes away for rafting and kayaking. It is also very close to the Appalachian Trail and the Bartram Trail for walking. The woods behind the cabin are walkable by road and take you to the top of the ridge. |
