Thank you for contacting us with regard to renting our apartment in rue CHERCHE-MIDI/ST GERMAIN DES PRES, available for stays of a minimum of 5 nights.
The apartment is a 40m2 (400 sq ft), one bedroom apartment situated in the heart of St Germain des Prés, in the Latin Quarter. It is a very short walking distance to Place Saint Germain de Pres, the Bon Marché department store, Jardins du Luxembourg and to explore Central Paris (most areas are accessible on foot).
We are child friendly! A portable crib or baby moses basket are both provided. The apartment is perfect for a couple or couple with a small child.
The famous neighborhood has everything you might need minutes from the apartment. Right outside is a fantastic bistro/café called Le Nemrod which is open 7 days a week from 10am until midnight. Across the road you have a fruit and vegetable stand, newspaper shop/Tabac, florists, fishmonger and two bakeries. At the end of the road, 4 minutes from the apartment is the famous Bon Marché Department store and the sister luxury Supermarket, La Grand Epicerie selling foods from France and all over the world. There are also two "normal" supermarkets within 8 minutes. The public transportation is very convenient - closest Metro stations are Sevres Babylone, (Line 12 and 10) and Saint Placide (Line 4). There are roughly 8 bus lines leading all over Paris within a 5 minute walk.
THE APARTMENT
The very light and sunny apartment is on the 6th and last floor (the building has an elevator) of a traditional Paris building from the 1900s and is protected by a coded entrance. It is fully furnished and equipped, individually heated by electric heaters in each room.
The apartment opens directly into the living room/dining room and the double bedroom is separate.
The main sitting room area has bookshelves, sofa (which is a sofa bed for visitors or a child) and the television with DVD. There is a cute bureau looking onto the street view.
The open kitchen/dining room is fully equipped with microwave, hob, oven and refrigerator. There are a full set of 6 plates, glasses, cutlery and all conceivable utensils.
The bedroom has a double bed and there are closets and shelves with drawers and hangers, good quality bed linen and towels are provided.
The bathroom has a shower and this as also where the washing machine is located. There is a separate dryer.
Foodie's will adore the area - a fantastic open street market two minutes from the apartment on Boulevard Raspail on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. On Sunday's it is one of Paris’ best known Organic markets where food stalls are joined by other organic producers such as aromatherapy producers. Walking down rue Cherche Midi and rue Saint Peres will lead directly to the Boulevard Saint Germain, about 7 Minutes, where you can take you coffee at the legendary Café Flore or Deux Magots. Above all, the neighbourhood is completely safe and you can walk home as late as you like alone.
It is equipped with high-speed Internet access (WIRELESS), and a telephone with free calls to French local numbers and International North America and most European fixed line numbers and stereo. All bills are included in the rent. There will be a chargeable cell phone at your disposal which can be charged buying minutes from many outlets throughout Paris.
