Our home is located in the quiet Colonia neighborhood of La Gloria and provides a relaxing getaway perfect for a couple or small group of adults. The breathtaking ocean view will captivate you as you relax on the private balcony or sundeck. Just steps outside your door you can explore the ocean life, comb the beach for shells or relax in the tide pools. At night our rooftop transforms into a stargazers paradise.
Large windows provide a picturesque view of the Caribbean. Open the window and feel the cool breeze off the Caribbean. Enjoy your morning coffee while viewing the red and orange hues of the sunrise.
Within the neighborhood you will find friendly locals, restaurants and grocery stores, cafes, fresh seafood, succulent fruits and vegetables. North Beach and the Isla night life are just a short taxi or bus ride away. There you can enjoy live music, dancing, restaurants and shops. When your day is done, we invite you to settle in and let the surf lullaby you to sleep.
The House downstairs includes a queen-size bed, full/well stocked kitchen with a stove and oven, dining area, living room, full bathroom and back courtyard.
The two upstair Suites each have a secure, private entrance, queen-size bed, sitting area, private bathroom, kitchenette and balcony.

We fell in love with Isla many years ago and decided to go all in and build a wonderful winter home. We live on Isla during the winter and spend the rest of our time in Missouri. The beautiful Caribbean still takes our breath away.

Our family just returned from a week at this wonderful house (May-June 2011.) We all just fell in love with Isla Mujeres. The best kept secret of this house is the cool beach across from the house. It's not the sandy, play in the water kind of beach. It's rocky, but one of the most natural beaches I've seen in years with ancient conch and smoothed rock at the water. We enjoyed just sitting and letting the water lap over us. The ocean view from every part of the house is phenomenal. The house was very well kept, well organized and safe. There is a well stocked kitchen, good bottled water system and great water pressure. There is no AC, so even with the ocean breezes it was hot at times. We found groceries and great dining within walking distance and easily caught a cab out front to go into town (40 pesos, or about $3.50 per ride) This house is in a Mexican neighborhood with lots of friendly ex-pats. It was nice to be in a neighborhood instead of with a bunch of tourists at an all inclusive. We found great excursions, but also just enjoyed hanging out on the very cool and breezy front porch watching the golf carts and mopeds go by every afternoon.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was a wonderful introductory stay on Isla Mujeres...and we'll be back! This was a great value--good location, clean, newer, comfortable. Our hosts were accommodating but left us to our privacy. My next visit will be longer so I hope to find something similar but a bit larger with A/C (seldom needed it but a few nights warranted more than ceiling fans) & TV (not my request!) Since I live on a beautiful lake (the size of the entire island!), having waterfront views and being able to walk across the street to a personal beach was great!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

We stayed at Jerry and Esthers place from 2/10-2/17/2010. We consider it to be the perfect location. The house is away from the touristy area, but only a short cab or bus ride to the town. The house/condo's are clean with a wonderful ocean breeze blowing and the constant sound of the waves make it so relaxing. We feel like we're at home on Isla and this place is perfect. The owners,Jerry and Esther are wonderful people to rent from.
