Stayed here last week with the family. The home is wonderful, beautiful and old...but still with modern amenities like wi-fi, cable, etc. The modern bathrooms had fantastic showers...and there's one on the back deck, too, if you feel like getting clean in the open air. The four queen beds were very comfy. Kitchen had the basics and we made some fantastic meals. The backyard is a great retreat with a swing, Weber grill and a good sitting porch. The front has a screened in porch were we listened to the ocean and enjoyed the night breezes. Grayton is a gem of a town...no high rises...although I hated seeing cars on the beach. It's a great place for kids...ours rode their bikes all around town. Wish we could have stayed longer, but I have a feeling it will become our regular spot.

I stayed for 10 days in Old Grayton Presence Nov. 2010. It was a solo vacation that I had been thinking about for many years and finally made it come true. This home is my dream beach vacation home, as a matter of fact, I could have stayed there the rest of my life. I made myself at home, brought a few personal cookware items (a blender for smoothies and specific items I like to cook with) and settled into it as home for the 10days. Never used the indoor shower, the out door shower is equiped with hot water and a view of the night sky. A few books, old movies, and my records and speakers I brought along made for my most vacation ever. I took daily walks on the beach, and through the neighborhood, met interesting folks in the local bars, and cooked amazing meals everyday. Perfect place to relax, recharge and escape your day to day life, the only thing wrong with the whole trip was having to leave. But I will be back, right there, again this fall !!

My husband and I stayed here with our college daughter and her friend last summer. It was perfect for us. We will definitely try to go again. We walked to the beach, Red Door Restaurant, and around the quaint neighborhood. We loved the rain shower on the deck in the back.
