We highly recommend this property. It was clean and very comfortable. Enjoyed the oceanfront view while watching the dolphins and folks at the beach. The beds were very comfortable. The swimming was a real delight with over ten hot tubs, lazy river, and several warm pools. We did not cook in but enjoyed visiting many restaurants in the area. Will definitely return.

2012 was our third consecutive stay at this Myrtle Beach condo. We have relatives that join us for a weekend and there is ample room for them to stay. We enjoy setting on the balcony watching the dolphins swim by, sunrises, and people walking on the beach. We also enjoy relaxing in the many hot tubs, pools, and lazy river. The Compass Rose restaurant has an excellent breakfast buffet. Brent & Jerry are very helpful and accommodating to work with. The Sky Wheel in Myrtle Beach is a great new attraction that we enjoyed riding. This condo and the Myrtle Beach area is a great get-away for us. We are looking forward to our 4th visit next winter at this condo.

Thanksgiving Weekend

I have stayed in this unit before and returned again in Nov. 2011. Brent is very easy to work with, and what you see in the pics is what you get. Everything is straightforward and the security deposit is returned promptly. He even leaves a bottle of wine for you to enjoy your first night. The resort has the best amenities around and we love the south beach area as it is a beautiful beach and easy to drive to other areas while avoiding the traffic clogs. My only criticism would be that the furniture is very uncomfortable. However, this is also the case of most of the resorts at Myrtle Beach. Occasionally you get an owner who puts in comfortable furniture, but I think you also pay a lot more for it. The value of this condo is that it has a fantastic oceanfront view and is in the Pinnacle Building, a must for winter time. If you are thinking of coming down, give Brent a call. His prices are reasonable and he will respond promptly.

Owner response:I appreciate any and all feedback. I was a bit puzzled though by the comments about uncomfortable furniture. We actually invested in plush mattresses that guests have raved about. They cost more than my own at home! We love the mattresses in the condo. Also, our sleeper sofa is only a couple of years old, and we've found it to also be very comfortable, as reported by many other guests. I'm sorry if the furniture didn't meet your expectations, but I must say, it's a huge upgrade from the resort's typical condo beds and sofas. We treat our condo as our 2nd home, because we know what we want when we come to stay there. We know that guests will appreciate the extra mile we've gone to make it a great place to stay. We have gone to Myrtle Beach 4x in last 3 yrs. This was the best rental we experienced thus far. The owners provided not only a clean & maintained unit but allowed us to use their beach chairs, umbrella etc. Even the balcony chairs were more comfortable than white plastic chairs typically provided. We even watched a video and played Yahtzee provided. While at Compass Cove we enjoyed all the various pools, lazy rivers and hot tubs. The staff at the resort are all very nice and pleasant. When we go back, I will definately stay at this particular unit as the location is perfect at the southern end of Myrtle Beach. I would highly recommend this condo.

We stayed at the condo May 13-20. We found the condo to be exactly as it was described. Everything was well-maintained and clean. The view from our balcony was beautiful and we loved listening to the sound of the waves on the beach. We slept well. The beds were comfortable. Brent was very friendly and helpful and always responded promptly to my emails. He was even able to get us an extra parking pass for a visiting relative at the last minute. The only slight problem we had with the condo was that the door to the unit was located in the bedroom, which made coming and going at night difficult with two small children sleeping in the room. However, we knew about this before we arrived and just made it work. The kids slept well and had a GREAT time. Our three year old loved the splash pad/children's pool and collecting seashells on the beach. We did a day trip to Charleston, which was nice and would also recommend Brookgreen Gardens, which was absolutely beautiful. The kids loved the animals there! We would definitely recommend this condo to a friend and would absolutely consider coming back ourselves.

Thank you for .....on and on and on. Condo was perfect for 4 adults. Kitchenette great for breakfast and snacks. This is the friendliest resort we have ever stayed at. No complaints either with the resort or condo. Both are wonderful,fantastic. Resort has everything anybody could want and condo has a breathtaking view from balcony. This April we stayed at the condo for the second time. As always, it's clean, comfortable and a great place to relax. Having the kitchen amenities make it easy to have a quick breakfast on those days when out six year old can't wait long enough to go to a restaurant for breakfast before getting to the pool. It's location is very central to all the resorts amentiies. Can't wait to get back in August!!

My family had a great time at this property. The view is excellent and my young son (8 months at the time) loved the time we spent at the various pools. The room was plenty spacious for the three of us and the included high chair and play pen allowed us to save some room in our trunk on the trip. The property owner was easy to contact and a pleasure to deal with.

We enjoyed our stay at Compass Cove for spring break 2011. Brent did a good job of representing his property. We spent alot of time in the room because of the bad weather that week, so we put together the big puzzle. We saw many dolphins from our balcony, I've been vacationing at MB for 16 straight years and this was the most dolphins i have ever seen. Brent did a great job of explaining the checking in and out process and was very easy to work with. I would recommend this condo for a great MB vacation.

Lovely condo with fantastic ocean front view, very clean, and the people that I met in the condo building were mostly snowbirds like myself and they were all very friendly. The weather was very good and it was only cool for a couple of days with no rain at all till the day I left. Lots to do in Myrtle Beach and I would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking to relax or have fun exploring the area. Used the pool and hot tub everyday of my stay.....Thanks Brent

The past two winters we have enjoyed our stay at Compass Cove. The condo is very clean and well taken care of. From the balcony you have a spectacular view of the morning sunrise, a great view of the beach and ocean, and an awesome view watching the dolphins swimming in the ocean. We also enjoyed our daily walks on the beach, swimming in the pools, and relaxing in the lazy river and hot tubs. Brent is very helpful and accommodating to work with. We are looking forward to our 3rd visit next winter at this condo. We highly recommend this unit.

My family and I spent a week at Compass Cove and truly enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean and comfortable and the owner was great to deal with. Our family enjoyed all of the water features available and found there was something for everyone. The views of the Ocean were gorgeous and we loved taking daily walks on the beach. I would not hesitate to rent this condo again if I travel back to Myrtle Beach there was so much to do within walking distance or a short car ride.My sisters rented in Compass Cove as well but our condo was the nicest . I received my deposit back very quickly after returning home. Thanks for a great stay, I would highly recommend this condo.

What a view!!

Being able to see the ocean through the sliding glass door was cool. Being able to go out onto a very PRIVATE BALCONY and view and also hear the ocean was awesome! We ate breakfast on that balcony several times as well. The chairs were NOT cheap plastic ones, they were very sturdy and comfortable. There even was a small table out there to use. We were on that balcony alot. Unfortunately for us, the weather wasn't at its best a good portion of our stay( Sept.25-Oct.3). We asked if we could stay an extra night since the weather wasn't going to be that great most of the week, so Brent gave us a good deal on an extra night's stay which was greatly appreciated. The resort itself was very nice as we enjoyed the water amenities, especially the hot tub closest to the laundry room. The Compass Rose offers a delicious Breakfast Buffet and The Crows Nest is a nice bar/grill type of place. The Condo overall was very nice and the queen bed we stayed on(closest to the kitchen) was quite cozy! The bedroom closet had some items in which we were able to use on the beach which saved us money. There are many positive and inspirational things hung up on the walls there. We enjoyed going when we did as far as it not being as crowded as peak season is. There still was alot to do down there. We even got our picture taken while holding a Lion cub at The Preservation Station at Barefoot Landing!! The Ripleys Aquarium is a must see too!! We definitely would stay at this condo again!

We stayed in this condo last year for one week and liked it so much we went back for the month of February this year. Although the weather was unseasonable cold (so was the whole country) we still managed to walk the beach most days because the sun was shining. The condo is well taken care of and the building and grounds are always clean and well-maintained. Brent is a good person and great to deal with. I recommend this condo for a retired couple or a family.

The fitness center had enough equipment to get a decent workout in and there are a few shuffleboard courts, two hammocks, and a game room with pool table. Parking in the attached garage was difficult and we had to park across the street if we returned after dinner. Brent was very easy to work with and we thank him for the hospitality. We will definitely stay here again if we get back to the area!

Absolutely fabulous time! This condo was a great experience. It was clean and in a great location. The indoor pools and lazy rivers came in handy with the cool weather that we had. Our oldest son was so sad when we had to leave. Brent is a true pleasure to deal with. He made our vacation smooth from start to finish. He even added a personal phone call to wish us a Happy Easter while we were there, which I thought was so nice. I would definitely rent this condo out again.

 I believe that things happen for a reason and people come in and out of our lives for a reason. March 2008, my husband, my adult son and I travelled to Mrytle Beach with 2 other families and their adult children for our first family vacation in a very long time. Our oldest son was killed in a car accident on July 23rd, 2000 and with the support of our good friends we decided to take a vacation - our first without our son.    When we arrived, the 3 families just picked a condo number out of the three that had been rented and we picked the Monnin family's condo. When we walked, in we knew it was right.  The crucifix, the wonderful inspirational sayings and your family pictures was everything that we believe in. After a few minutes in the condo we knew that we had made the right decision to take this vacation.I will remember the walks on the beach all year until we can do it again next year.Thank you for sharing your home away from home.

 I believe that people come in and out of our lives for a reason. Our mini vacation to Myrtle Beach was quite an enjoyable experience! Temps 60--70 range and so few people it was like our own beach! Brent's hotel suite had everything we could have ever wanted. Hot tubs inside and out, pools, restaurant and bar. Everything appeared to be new and well maitained! We were used to saying at a beach house that always seemed to be lacking something. We're planning to return next winter!

We enjoyed staying at the condo. It has been a quiet and relaxing week for just two of us. The room was extremely clean and full ammenitites. Beach was great and we took numerous walks at night. Calling and checking on us when(Hurricane/Tropical Storm Hanna) was passing through giving us a choice, asking us if we wanted to leave, he would understand and he would make it right with us if we did, however, we decided to stay. for it was our first Hurricane and Tropical Storm. We was finding it somewhat exciting and did not want to miss the experience of it all) So all we can say is (Thank You Brent for your love and protection) Other condo owners wouldn't even called or checked on us too see if we were safe and ok. You did. We respect you for this. Kind and thoughtful you are indeed. The extra's in the condo which was there for our use upon arrival was grateley appreciated by us. For example: The coffee, tea, sugar, coffee creamer, etc.(Yum Yum) made it much nicer after a long days drive. Not having to go to the grocery store right away was awesome. Notes guiding us how to handle certain situations and circumstances was welcomed information we all need to know and have. Chairs for the beach along with other beach items. ..Wow.. what a treat. Along with a wonderful bottle of (Wine) to kick back for those Sunset Evenings. (We Did Enjoy Very Much) (Thank You). Watching the Parasailers sail through the sky in the mornings and mid-afternoon was a treat in its self. We felt we were spoiled before like a King and a Queen, LET US SAY, One has not been spoiled until you get a Condo and Landlord like BRENT. NOTHING IN THE WORLD LIKE IT... He goes the extra mile for his guest and when you walk into his home that you are renting for a week one can see the love, with the family pictures every where. You now feel just as much love and know you have just became a part of his family as well. Thank You Brent, Thank you, for spoiling us. N

This was a fantastic place to rent. The location was great and the condo was very nice. The murphy bed was extremely comfortable, almost as nice as the new queen mattresses. The view was absolutely breath taking. We enjoyed watching the parasailers each day. I traveled with three teenagers and we never ran out of things to do. We spent time on the beach everyday, yet we also had enough time to enjoy all of the local amenities. The communication with the owner was great and he answered all of my questions. It went very smoothly. We can't wait until next year.

Great condo. We settled in real quick and enjoyed the view from the balcony as well as the beach. The condo is in a very family oriented location and the beds were great! It's nice to go from home to vacation and still enjoy flat screen tv's when not on the beach. This was the first time our 6yr, 4yr, and 8 month old kids got to play in the ocean and they loved it. The kids tried out every pool a couple of times, at least! We are all looking forward to a return trip to the beach!

Clean, well laid out, and very comfortable... if this is what you look for in a condo, then this would be the place to stay. Our holiday was relaxing, as we did not have to go very far for anything (shopping, food, beach, or entertainment) This totally made our holiday, as we were looking for a relaxing time, and we indeed had it. The owner gave excellent overall customer service, and we would not only recommend this location to a friend, but to family as well. With the condo being on the fourth floor, one is close to the beach, and not looking down. We had the added security of being able to park within a line of site of the condo. For parents with small children, the water features were an added bonus, as they only wished to stay at the beach for a short time. The Submarine pool feature was a fantastic hit with our kids. We had sush a great time that we will indeed be using this owner again. Thanks for a memorable holiday

I would recommend your place to anyone that is considering a place at the beach. The room and resort was extra clean and nice. Great location..with so much to do at the resort and so close to other things to visit while at the beach. We had a great time and hope to visit again soon. Memorial Day Weekend at Myrtle Beach

We had a great time at the beach mainly due to this beautiful oceanfront condo. We stayed for 2 nights during bikers week, and did not realize how packed the streets were going to be. But, we were able to enjoy our stay despite that mainly because the condo was so nice and comfortable. It was stocked with upgraded amenities that you wouldn't find in the average room at this resort. The smooth process of booking this place, even though it was last minute, also made things stress free, thanks to Brent. It was a pleasure. We will definitley keep this in mind for future trips to the beach!

We had a great time and really enjoyed this condo. The location was great. The view from the balcony was awesome. The beach is wonderful. Plenty of pools and hot tubs. The queen size beds and LCD TV'S were a major upgrade from other Compass Cove units. We traveled with 6 other families and their units weren't as nice.

We enjoyed our stay at your condo at Compass Cove. Great condo and resort for families. The kids enjoyed the many pools and lazy rivers at the resort. We enjoyed all the extras that you have included in your condo to make it feel like home. This is an upscale unit and was very clean. We look forward to staying at your condo again in July! Thanks for the complimentary bottle of wine....what a nice touch!

We highly recommend this condo and will be returning next year. Starting from the initial transaction of booking it to entering the condo. It was nicer than we expected. We are a family of 5 and everyone was comfortable. The Queen size beds were exceptionally comfortable and the kids enjoyed the Murphy and sofa bed in the living room. When we arrived there was a bottle of wine on the counter and coffee in the freezer for us. The owner called to ensure we arrived and everything was to our satisfaction. The kitchen is small but normal for the area and it was equipped with everything. Both the kitchen and living room have an exceptional view of the ocean. We actually viewed dolphin from the balcony. Wow. The resort has both indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs and a lazy river. Its only a few minutes drive from downtown and very quiet. If you want an ocean front condo…wait to you see the beautiful sunrises.
