We spent 14 fabulous days here and can't say enough about the unit, the facilities, the location, the weather, etc. We've traveled many places in the world including Australia, Japan, Thailand, Bali, and other exotic locales, but this spot with our family of 5 just couldn't be beat. The view is fabulous coupled with poolside location and access to a host of amenities within Las Mananitas and within minutes of the grounds. The unit has lots to make it comfortable, spacious, and luxurious, but it's the location that's second to none. Walking out to the pool within 20 feet, which is never crowded, or a few more feet to a glorious beach gives easy access for relaxing days. Aspects we especially loved: Mega store with its bakery and freshly made foods within walking distance is a major advantage. Beachside BBQ's and tables hardly being used provide $50/plate dining with a little easy work. Local Saturday market has lots of crafts and foods you should check out. Driving out the East Cape and sitting on a deserted beach with a picnic lunch marveling at NO ONE out there is a special experience. If you go to Cabo, check with Cabo Sails and consider a private sailboat if you have a group. That was a very special afternoon, and didn't cost much more than a group boat since we had 2 families. Restaurants: Meson del Angel-FABULOUS courtyard dining and delicious food and mojitos. Guacamaya's for a more authentic, inexpensive meal. I could go on and on, but if you're considering this place, I wouldn't hesitate to go!!

Thank you for the fabulous week at your Las Mananitas condo! What a lovely location and well-appointed condominium. The view of the pool and ocean was so spectacular and tranquil. The grounds at Las Mananitas are immaculate and so beautiful with the manta ray sculpture. We were the envy of all our friends with that incredible 40 plus inch flat screen TV. The furnishings were comfy and we felt very at home. The location near restaurants and shopping (Mega super store) made it an easy walk to get our groceries and anything else we needed. The condo was perfect for our family and is equipped with many comforts from home! We loved its proximity to the beach, especially in the evening when we dined outside and watched the waves.It is also accessible for guests who are disabled and require a wheelchair or use crutches. The owners are wonderful to work with and the staff are friendly and kind. We will be back soon!

Our family spent 12 nights at Las Mananitas and this unit was perfect. The owner is very easy to deal with and handles the rental in a professional and timely manner. The whole set up from the spacious two bedroom unit, to the grounds, and pool area are first class. The location in San Jose is perfect for those people who don't want to rent a car. Being able to walk to the Mega Supermarket and the bus transportation is very convenient! A great trip! We will be coming back for sure! Thanks again Bruce!

Las Mananitas condo

Our family of four stayed at Las Mananitas over the Christmas holidays. The complex is beautiful, lovely grounds, gorgeous pools. We loved being on the main level, being able to walk out to the pool area or just lounging on the patio overlooking the beach. We had everything we needed, blender, beach towels, coffee maker and plenty of kitchen utensils. An electric kettle would have been nice, as we are big tea drinkers, but there was a stovetop one, none the less. We found the workers (groundskeepers, guards, cleaning staff) very helpful and friendly. The beach is beautiful, but swimming is not always recommended due to the rip tides/undertow. We spent much of our time around the pool and in the hot tub. We enjoyed many trips to Cabo San Lucas (25 mins), Thursday night art walks in San Jose del Cabo, a visit to Todos Santos (Hotel California), ATVing and seadooing. A WORD OF WARNING: Do not buy a TIMESHARE until you check into them on the internet. Many of the Mexican time share operators are unscrupulous, lots of bad press, and they will get their hooks into you as soon as you step of the plane at the airport! Thank you to both Bruce and Masami for sharing their beautiful Baja beach condo with us this Christmas!

The best spot to call call home in the Baja

Once we found this condo, we didn't look any further. Everything that we needed was included and accurately described. The photo's looked great and the first few moments in the condo confirmed that the real thing was even better. The entire complex was very well maintained and the unit was everything we had hoped for in a relaxing, stress free, tropical vacation. Bruce was most helpful in all stages of planning and even during our stay. This was our first experience with VRBO and we are convinced that this is the best way to enjoy a home - away from your own. We enjoyed our stay during mid November 2010 with 2 adults and 2 kids age 9 and 7. The level entry to the large pool and adjoining hot tub was perfect for all of us. We always had deck lounge chairs right in front of our private walkway. Being able to fix a snack or grab a cool drink was great. We had read that the beach was probably not going to be swim safe. And it was not, a slight disappointment. But in fact, we would have not been able to supervise the kids in the ocean without locking up the condo and packing up the beach stuff for a little stay down there anyway. As it was there were many good beaches that we visited and were able to boogie board/body surf, snorkel and just relax, within a short drive. The town of San Jose Del Cabo was a real gem. Great vibe of more laid back Baja charm. Food choices were great, but more expensive than I had expected. There is a fantastic restaurant within a 2 minute walk of the condo that for whatever reason we didn't find until the last 2 days, whereupon we ate there for 3 meals! It is called Cynthia Fresh and I would travel all the way back down there again just to eat in her restaurant. The food is fresh, local and prepared in an open air complex attached to an outdoor art gallery. If you walk to the Mega along the sidewalk closest to the highway, you will walk by Cynthia Fresh on your right hand side. Closed on Sunday and on Monday nights live musicians. Coming from the West Coast of Canada in the winter, this was pretty quick and easy to get to and gave such a nice break from the impending winter weather.

We had the best time during our week at Las Mananitas! The unit was lovely and the property itself was amazing. The condo is very spacious and set up with just about everything a familiy might need for a week in Mexico, except food and drink, of course! The Mega is just up the street and there are a ton of great restaurants nearby, so that's easily taken care of... The staff were so friendly and helpful - Marco set us up with a great sunset cruise and Kenia helped us out with a crib, highchair as well as a wonderful nanny for our night out. Though the beach was never truly swimable, it was beautiful and our son couldn't have been happier with all of the sand available to dig in (plenty of beach toys in the condo - thanks!). The ground floor location of the condo is perfect for families with young children. On afternoons when our son was napping we were still able to enjoy the patio and jump in for a quick dip to cool down. We loved the easy access to San Jose del Cabo - a very charming town. Good swimming beaches are just a short drive away and Cabo San Lucas is not much further. We really appreciated being so close to town, but far away from the giant resorts and the crowds in CSL. Bruce's restaurant reccomendations were great (though the Rusty Putter is now called something else - still yummy though). Habeneros is not to be missed - very special and very reasonably priced (plus, one of the only places we went that had a kids menu). Marco also turned us on to Mercado Del Mar, just across from the Royal Solaris; it was definitley the best fish we had during our trip (possibly the best margarita too!). We had a great week and would do it all again in a heartbeat. Thanks so much Bruce and Masami!

What a lovely spacious and well equipped apartment in a dream setting. Pictures and written descriptions can not do justice to the overall experience provided by #103. The apartment and complex are immaculately kept and the staff friendly and accommodating. Everything you could possibly need to make your stay here trouble-less was at hand - a true home from home. At this time of year there seemed to be more maintenance, garden and security staff around than residents. Sea, sand, sun and luxurious and warm pools was just what we all needed to unwind after a difficult year to date and we were not disappointed in the least. Bruce & Masami made the booking process easy and all along were willing to answer all our queries quickly and honestly. San Jose has plenty to offer all family members. We recommend the big game fishing from San Jose's new harbour (remember to negotiate the price down); eating at Habaneros, Cynthias, The Pancake House and Dantes (go for the rib dinner you will not be disappointed); and drinking at the new Shaka Bar (friendly young staff and close enough to stagger home) on the road to the shopping centre. My wife, 20month old daughter and I stayed here the first week of May and really enjoyed it. Everything about the condo and Las Mananitas was amazing. The 15 step walk to the pool is pretty tough to beat. The condo is perfect for a young family looking for some pool/becah time. Having the Mega only a 10 min walk away was great. Cynthia's for dinner (just of up hill) is a must. Thanks Bruce. We'll be back one day for sure.

"The condo is perfect. The condo is beautifully appointed and the location couldn't be better. It's on the ground floor and a few steps to the pool and the beach. You can hear the waves crashing and because it's on the ocean side of the complex, there is no traffic noise from the main highway. Another plus is that it is close to the grocery store and our favorite restaurant, just up the hill . . . all within walking distance if needed. We've stayed in many condos in different parts of Mexico and the Hawaiian Islands and this is one of the best!"

17 days of paradise had to come to an end! This is our third time to Las Maninitas and our first in 103. We have always stayed on ground level and will continue that tradition in 103. It was a beautiful place with everything you could need or want. We especially loved the ipod in the stereo so we could have music on all the time! Had the tsunami warning from Chili earthquake while visiting. That was exciting as security was all over the beach keeping people away from the surf. We did get to witness the surge of about 3-5 feet while having lunch at Zippers down the beach. I'm sure that will never happen again so it was very exciting. Wish we could have stayed much longer!!! Had a great time. Thanks for renting your home away from home!!!

103 is the best location on the ground floor. Patio gets great sun and steps from the pool. We have twin 3 year olds and it was great fun for them and very safe. Two sand areas are right off the patio for the kids to play. Would defintely stay here again and Bruce was very helpful. best deal in the place.

Hello Bruce and Masami, We just wanted to let you know that we (family of 5) had an unbelievable and fantastic family vacation in Los Cabos. Las Mananitas is a sparkling gem of a place. Everything is immaculate and so well maintained. All the staff were so helpful and always had a smile on their face. It truly is a place where time seems to stand still and where you can sit back with your feet up and watch the shimmering waves. One morning over coffee sitting out on the patio we were overjoyed to the display of whales rising and blowing air out through their blow spouts. Let me tell you that was a site to see for us who come from and live in the Canadian Prairies! We were there for 14 days and every day was fun filled with so much to see and do. Christmas Eve we were treated to a Mariachi Band who had been booked to play I believe by another tenant and they played for an hour by the pool and BBQ area. That was something both to see as well as to hear. It was truly hard to leave such a tranquil and beautiful place and will most definitely return to. I would highly recommend your condo to anyone looking at a place to stay. As they say, "Mi Casa es Su Casa", Thanks so much for your help and for an unforgettable first trip to Mexico.

We just returned from a one week vacation at Las Mananitas. Wow! What a great place to relax. We had a great time at Bruce and Masami's place, it's huge and very clean, well stocked and steps from the pool and beach with one of the best locations in the complex bar none. You want relaxation this is hard to beat. The whole atmosphere is very tranquil, it was perfect for two couples, San Jose is just a few blocks away and the supermarket is right up behind the complex. This place is kept immaculate, and the people we met we very friendly. Cabo is just a short drive away (rent a car) With a Costco as well. One tip try Morgans, it was by far the best of all the places in San Jose that we ate at, these people know how to cook!!! Thanks again for a great time you'll have referrals soon.

Las Mananitas is very convenient to both San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. We spent time in both cities. It is also an easy drive to and from the airport. Everything needed is close by. The condo itself is excellant and in a perfect location within the complex. You simply walk out the door to go to the pool and the beach is a few steps beyond that. We would definitely stay here again if we go back to the area. Thank you Bruce!!

The condo was even better than expected from the pictures! It was so well decorated and very roomy for four of us. The location was fantastic - feet from a gorgous pool and close to the parking. The beautiful beach is just on the other side of the pool. Being on the first floor was great. If we had been on a higher floor we would not have used the facilities as much. The path to the condo only comes to that unit and makes it much more private than we expected. We used the BBQ grills and well stocked kitchen to prepare "dinners in"some nights. Snorkelling equipment from Activity Center was only $15 for 24 hours and high quality.

This is truely a special unit for families. The pool and beach are just steps from your back door. There's a swim-up pool bar and BBQ grills for fun in the evenings. The unit and grounds are very well maintained. This complex is not crowded (3 other families during our stay), so you basically have unrestricted access to all of the amenities. We recommend restaurants such as Rossy's Tacos, El Fagon and El Chillar (more expensive)in San Jose. The activity center at the front of the Mananitas complex can arrange all excursions and provide driving directions. We recommend Swim with the Dolphins and ATVs in Cabo and horseback riding on the beach near the El Presidente hotel. Thanks Bruce and Masami for hosting our wonderful vacation.

Just returned from Las mananitas 8/6/07. Had a wonderful time. Our family of 5 was very comfortable in the condo...plenty of space to spread out, and we loved being able to walk out directly to the pool/beach. The complex is beautifully landscaped, and really makes you feel that you escaped to a tropical paradise. the condo was fully equipped, and there was a Mega store very close by to get food etc. We rented a car the whole week which made it easy to get to both towns and to snorkling at Santa Maria beach. This was our second visit to Bruce and Masami's beautiful condo #103 at Las Mananitas. We were fortunate to enjoy 10 relaxing days in April at this very well equipped and perfectly located condo right on the beach near San Jose del Cabo. It was great to come back to a familiar place and feel confident knowing that everything will be as expected. We especially enjoyed the wonderful pool area right outside the condo patio and many long walks on the great beach just a few steps away. We are already planning our 3rd visit next year!

Las Mananitas, Unit 103 was a fantastic place for a vacation with my two teenaged sons. We made memories that will last a lifetime. The property and condo was everything we could hope for. I felt very safe there being a single Mom traveling with her boys. We were sad to leave; it was the best Thanksgiving ever.

We are all still in shock how beautiful your condo and Las Mananitas was. Walking up and down the beach every morning, we could tell it truly is the nicest place in that area. Plus - your condo was absolutely perfect for us. It was lovely, and quiet, and everything else you promised. We loved being on the ground floor and the access to the pool and beach was perfect. What amazed us the most was how it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves most of the time. There was very rarely anyone in the pool area during the day or in the evening. And although we didn't need much assistance, everyone there was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

we stayed in unit #103 on 10/21/06 for two weeks. we can't say enough positive things about the condo and the town of san jose. it was truly two weeks of pure heaven. it is everything that we read about and MORE. the condo has all the amenities that you could ask for, the bbq's were awesome, the pool was beautiful and the staff was incredibly helpful. the town of san jose has so many wonderful restaurants to offer, fun shopping, great golf courses and wonderful people. there's even a costco to get some great supplies. we walked to the mega mart shopping center regularly, it was so convenient. we have been to many parts of mexico and always knew we loved it, however, this is by far our favorite place to stay. we're already planning our next vacation, this time with our 16 year old, 23 year old and his fiancee. it's a great place for two couples and a great place for a family. this was an awesome find and proof that getting lost on the internet can reap great rewards -- that's how we found this condo!

We rented this condo (Unit 103) for two weeks in August '06. This condo is beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. We absolutely loved it. There were six of us, as we met our son and daughter-in-law, and daughter and son-in-law there, and we did not feel crowded. We loved being on first floor and walking right out to the pool (large and beautiful), hot tub, and beach. We enjoyed the patio for early morning reading and the patio table and chairs for breakfast and supper when we cooked in. It was very quiet and the other owners and renters that we met were all very friendly. The pool was never crowded, nor was the beach. The grounds are beautful and well maintained, and the securtiy is great, so we felt very safe. The location is great - convenient to San Jose and grocery shopping and restaurants. When planning this vacation, we were a little concerned about the heat in August. It was hot while we were there, but certainly not unbearable and the mornings and evenings cooled off quite nicely. There was always a breeze and the pool was very comfortable, as was sitting in the shade under the umbrellas. Of course the condo is air conditioned, and very comfortable. We walked around town (San Jose, Cabo, and Todo Santos) and were never uncomfortably hot. It rained one day in the two weeks we were there, and it was just a pleasant gentle rain. We were extremely pleased and plan to rent this condo again in the future.

Wow, what a place to stay when your on vacation. Unit 103 at Las Mananitas was super, furnished great for a getaway, very clean and spacious. The complex was quiet, clean and relaxing. We met some very nice guests who were renting, and residents who owned units there who were friendly and welcoming. We now know where to stay in the Los Cabos area, No Questions Asked. Las Mananitas.

Our family enjoyed a week in this lovely condo. It is spacious, immaculately cleaned, well-furnished. Location is great, near shopping and resturants yet away from the crowds in CSL. Will certainly stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Las Mananitas, Unit #103 and are planning to return again next year. My husband and I have stayed at many private homes and condos over the past 10 years or so and found this particular unit to be exceptionally nice. You can step right outside the door onto your own private patio which is steps away from the pool, jacuzzi, and beautiful white sand beach. We especially enjoyed the quiet and peaceful ambiance of this complex as well as the beautiful furnishings and well-stocked kitchen. Very conveniently located close to San Jose del Cabo as well as beachfront restaurants and shops within walking distance.

We stayed in this wonderful condo for 10 days in April 2006. The condo is very well furnished. Had a great time. Right outside the pool, which at times we felt we had to ourselves. Very quite and relaxing. Close walk to the Mega mart, and a couple of oceanside restaurnts. Also good public transportation. Weather was great, warm during the day and cool at night. Stayed for 10 days and would have liked to have been able to stay longer.

April 21, 2006 We just returned from our Vacation In San Jose Del Cabo. We stayed at Los Mananitas Unit 103. We had a wonderful stay.The unit is nicely decorated and has all the comforts of home.The grounds and pool area were beautiful, and just 20 to 30 steps from your Patio.We have stayed at many places and this unit has been the best one yet.Its quite and relaxing. In the evening you can here the waves pounding on the beach, which also is not far from your door step. We found everything to be just as was posted on the web site. The Mega Market is about 2 Blocks away for all your grocery needs. We had no problem finding Las Mananitas,from the Airport if your driving Yourself take the Toll Road or as the Mexician say the Couta road it takes you right into town by the Complex the toll is $2.70 and is only a 20 minute drive. We just returned from our first vist to Cabo where we stayed at Las Mananitas unit #103. We had a fantastic time staying here, and would highly recommend Las Mananitas to others. The complex is quiet and peaceful and the unit was very comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the proximity of the condo to the pool which made it very convenient for grabbing snacks and beverages when we wanted them. We loved the condo. The location was great. The Mega store was so handy. The kitchen was well equiped. We enjoyed the pool, and our daily strolls on the beach. We rode the bus into San Jose many times. It is a beautiful place and we would certainly rent again.

We have stayed at Las Mananitas several times now and will not go anywhere else when visiting the Baja. Unit 103 is especially nice and we particularly enjoyed the ground floor. Las Mananitas is always quiet and uncrowded.

Las Mananitas #103 was a totally wonderful vacation experience. The condo is perfect for two couples; each couple had their own delightfully decorated, comfortable and luxurious private suite. The condo was also conducive to togetherness and fun in the large living room and kitchen space. The condo is equipped with everything we could possibly imagine needing and it was easy to eat "at home" when we desired as there is a huge supermarket nearby. We LOVED the beautiful large swimming pool,and walks nearby on the beach. At night it was quiet and peaceful. We also enjoyed the little town of San Jose del Cabo. We experienced delightful restaurants, shopping, music, and friendly people. It was charming and genuine and a world away from the tourist "strip" along the highway. We really hope to make a return visit to Las Mananitas and San Jose del Cabo.
