Why the Owner Chose Chalet Village
The reason we chose to buy a property in Gatlinburg is because we love the area and it is a short half days drive from where we live. We can take our family there for long weekends and summer vacations.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Our cabin is unique in the fact that we provide alot of things others don't for example laundry detergent, dish detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and some basic kitchen necessities like spices and flour, things not everyone wants to stop and buy before coming. We want everyone to just throw some clothes in a bag and come enjoy w/out all the stress of remembering everything.
Owner's Map of Chalet Village
We reside in Ohio, and love the Tennessee area, it is somewhere we can go to relax and take our 4 children. My husband is a Funeral Director and I am a Realtor. We have owned our property since 2006.

We stayed here for 6 nights and loved every minute of it. There are lots of stairs to navigate but worth the effort. The layout worked well for us because everyone had room to spread out. We spent a lot of time on the fabulous decks. The view is spectacular! The extra items provided with this rental were so helpful (laundry detg., dish soap, even some paper plates, paper towels, etc.. were left). We saw a bear around noon from the dining room window. He quickly scampered up the road. Things I'd like to recommend for improvement: bed linens had oil/ grease like stains in master. I'm sure they were clean but looked gross. Hot tub would benefit from more frequent cleaning - not just adding more chemicals. Lots of nearby restaurants and activities. Especially enjoyed white water rafting (45 min. away) If you go, ask for Will at Outdoor adventures! We took out 9 yr old twins and 11 yr old plus 19yr as well as husband and myself. It was fun! We would like to stay here again in the future. Very comfortable, cozy !
Owner response:I took care of the two situations you mentioned, so sorry!! We have had a few changes when it comes to maids there and its hard to always supervise when we aren't there. We have great new high thread count sheets for every bed and the hot tub is drained and disinfected everytime i assure you. I appreciate reviews, good or bad it helps us know how to improve so that you will return. Thanks again, and please come back!!!

I spent a week at the cabin and had the best time. The location is perfect to spend time in Gaitlinburg. It is very close and convenient to downtown and the Smokies. The cabin was neat, clean, and has lots of room. We loved the hot tub and spent lots of time watching for animals. We saw a bear off the back deck and were so excited! Each room has a deck which the kids liked. The house is very tastefully decorated and has a nice kitchen with all of the supplies you would need. We will definetly be returning!
Owner response:Thanks!!

We've had the opportunity to stay at this cabin numerous times and each time has been fantastic! The views from the deck are amazing, especially in the morning. The cabin is well-stocked and has everything you'd ever want. It's close to downtown Gatlinburg but still secluded enough to have plenty of privacy. Without a doubt, I would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to stay in the Gatlinburg area!
Owner response:Thanks~!!! More reveiws to come!

We spent a week after Christmas and absolutely loved the cabin. Over the years we've stayed in at least 15 cabins in Gatlinburg and this is our favorite. It has plenty of room, a great layout with mtn views from the great room and master bdrm, lots of decks, a great fireplace, and secluded from other cabins but only 5 minutes from downtown. The cabin is very well maintained and much better stocked, (kitchen, bath towels, sheets, videos, games, laundry room, etc.) than any cabin or condo we've ever rented. In short, everyone (including 2 teenagers) "loved the cabin". It's a great place to return after a day of shopping or hiking in the park.

We stayed at this cabin during the week of Christmas and had a wonderful time! The cabin is the most well stocked cabin we have stayed in (out of 5 others) and beautifully decorated. It was very cozy and convenient to all of the area shopping and attractions. I would love to stay there again.

We stayed in the cabin Thanksgiving weekend and it was wonderful. The cabin is even better than we expected it to be. Lots of room and beautifully decorated. Perfect for kids. They loved the board games and all of the family movies in the cabin. Kitchen and dining area were perfect for enjoying our Thanksgiving dinner. We loved the hot tub and the fireplace. The view was wonderful. The kids loved watching the tram go back and forth to Ober Gatlinburg. If you're looking for a cabin for your family to enjoy, this is it! Located 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and 5 minutes from the bypass into Pigeon Forge.

The first weekend in November was an awesome weekend for the blaze of colors in the Smoky Mountains. The chalet was in a prominent location to enjoy the beauty of the scenery. It was clean, well equipped, comfortable and a beautiful place to spend some leisure time. We look forward to spending more time at this chalet in the future.

Absolutely beautiful cabin. The most impressive thing was how nice the cabin was decorated AND with three young kids, we did not have to take bedding, towels, etc. We had rented a place on the Jersey Shore a few years ago and paid twice what we did here and still had to bring our own bedding and towels. Here they had it all for you. Grill and all cooking utensils were also provided. Its secluded and private and I think worked very well as a vacation for us. We have a 2, 7 and 9 year old. Found it very safe for them. It would be a great romantic getaway also. It was within very reasonable driving distance to all the Gatlinburg tourist sites also. Absolutely fantastic place for all of you.
