A friend and I were visiting App State with our daughters and stayed in this condo. The views from the condo outside on the deck were great. Condo was extremely clean. Check in and out was easy. Only about 8 miles from the college. Only suggestion I have is to try to get there in the daytime. Winding roads to get there and harder to find in the dark.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We stayed here in March, when everything is cheaper during this last month of the ski season (ski rentals, lift tickets, lodging all drop prices). So we got an excellent rate for wonderful accommodations. This condo is located "On the Ridge" so just know going in that you will be driving up the ridge. :) We arrived late at night so it was slow going up the curvy roads but it was all worth it. The view from the deck is awesome. It was too cold for us to sit outside but I imagine during the summer, you can't compete with this view and large spacious deck. The inside was just as great: very clean, nice carpet, neat furniture and comfy beds. It took us about 15 minutes to get to Sugar Mtn. and the same to Boone. There were lots of good restaurants and activities nearby. We would definitely stay here again especially for the March price, such a great deal.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! You do get used to driving the roads in the mountains, and I want to add that all of the roads to our condo are paved and maintained especially in icy weather.

I was very fortunate to find such a great condo for our weekend in Boone. The condo is very comfortable for a family of 4. Great view of Grandfather Mountain. Quick drive into Boone and over to Appalachian Ski Mountain. I would definitely recommend this condo and will definitely book again for ASU football games and ski trips!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

My husband and I wanted to take our boys to the mountains for them to hopefully see some snow. We arrived during blizzard like conditions. The wind was gusting up to 90 miles an hour. This place was built so well, we only felt a slight vibration from the wind. The power did not even flicker. We felt very safe. Not only is this condo built well, it is also extremely comfortable. The couch, chairs and beds were comfy and clean. It is as close to home as you can get. The property is also very nice for walks and exploring. There was a hill right beside the condo that our boys went sledding down for hours. It was a lot of fun in the winter. I am sure summertime would be awesome to be able to use the outdoor pool and hot tub. I highly recommend this condo.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This condo had everything we were looking for, views, comfort, well appointed, easy rental process, and location. The views: WOW! Mountains galore and gorgeous sunrises. Love all the windows and truly enjoyed sitting on the porch admiring the mountains by day and stars by night. Very large porch compared to others we've stayed at. Comfort: warm, toasty gas fireplace, roomy with furniture chosen for comfort and beauty, nice rocking chairs on the deck. Well appointed: kitchen has everything you could want, living area has warm throws, pillows, games and reading material with the most thoughtful being the detailed tour books of the surrounding areas (Thank you!). It helped us to find extra things about the area we might have missed that were worth seeing. Ken and Ann made it a very easy and quick process to rent and we picked up an extra night on very short notice with only one short phone call. Location: In the middle of everything making it easy to visit quite a few places surrounding the condo. Close to Grandfather mountain, ski resorts, Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis, and Boone. Everything is approx. 7-8 miles in any direction with beautiful drives. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, found everything we needed and more thanks to the attention to detail and thoughtfulness of the owners. I can honestly say this was the most comfortable condo we have ever rented and we will definitely keep this one at the top of our list! You won't be disappointed!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Rented this condo from the owners for a long fall weekend. We were truly impressed by the coziness and warm feel of this condo. We have rented VRBO for a number of years, not only in the High Country, but elsewhere around the country and I can truly say, this is one of the nicest, most efficient places we have ever rented. We used the fitness facility once and it, along with the really nice clubhouse, were great. We did not spend a lot of daytime at the condo, as we were at App State festivities most of the weekend, but the condo was really great and we will certainly rent again, if available. The kitchen had key items (like coffee filters!) which make a big difference when you are only somewhere for a couple of days.. Master is very spacious, and the door to the nice deck was perfect in the morning. It was so warm this weekend, we had coffee on the deck both Saturday and Sunday morning. Thanks again, and we loved your place.!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Not too shabby:) Great fall getaway! Stayed at this cozy, warm and very clean condo with my husband and 2 young daughters. Easy check in and check out. Very friendly staff at Fosco Rentals. Nicely appointed and decorated condo. Beautiful views and relaxing. While there, we visited Tweetsie Railroad (a must if you have young children). Very low key amusement park, quaint, like stepping back in time. No Nick Jr or Disney Jr, but my daughter survived. Grandfather mountain VERY close, you can actually see Grandfather mountain on the way up to the condo. Nice roads on the way up too. Lots to do nearby, and my 4yo totally enjoyed the indoor pool, just short drive from the condo. The outdoor pool and clubhouse were very nice too, hope to come back when it's warm to enjoy them. Would highly recommend this condo, had a great experience, already thinking of booking again. Owners were very quick to respond to my email request! Overall, a WONDERFUL experience.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks so much! We are so glad you had a wonderful time. Looking forward to you staying with us again!

My husband and 2 young children just returned from a very nice stay in this condo. From check in to check out, the staff at Foscoe Realty was very welcoming and made sure we were satisfied with our stay! The condo was great!! It was convenient and had all the amenities we were looking for. It was so nice not to carry our luggage up stairs as this condo's entry is on ground level. Everything was clean and well maintained. The master bedroom and bathroom were especially big. The master bed has a very comfortable kingsize mattress!! The views from the porch are awesome whether enjoying a cup of coffee or simply listening to the birds!! We will definitely stay here again when we visit the Boone area.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxing stay here! The condo is beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and clean. It was so nice to park near the entrance & walk right inside without having to navigate stairs! Temperatures were perfect for enjoying the rocking chairs on the large balcony and its amazing view of the mountains. Each evening we sat at the balcony table to spread out our maps and info to plan the next day's events. There are two nice-sized, full bathrooms; the master bath has a huge vanity/dressing area which is separate from the shower/tub/toilet area. There is plenty of closet & drawer space in the bedrooms and bathrooms to comfortably accommodate 4 guests. All the equipment/utensils you need to prepare any meal are easily found in the well-stocked kitchen. The pool & club house are within walking distance. The condo is located within a short drive of several towns, each with its own offering of historic sites & buildings, museums, shops, restaurants, and awesome mountain activities. All correspondence with the owners & interaction with the staff was positive and very pleasant. We had no complaints/no problems. Listing description & photos are very accurate, & the condo is well-maintained. We highly recommend this property....you will NOT be disappointed with the accommodations or the offerings of the area!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I just spent 5 days in this beautiful condo. It is very well equipped to eat at home and comfortable. The back porch is terrific for watching the sun rise. The views are multi layered and can be seen from almost any room. Since I was traveling with my older parents, I appreciated the flat walkin access without any stairs. It was also very clean. The beautiful clubhouse and pool were an added bonus. Centrally located between Boone and Banner Elk. I would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
