My girlfriends and I stayed over a long weekend and the house was absolutely beautiful. The backyard area was filled with beautiful succulents and plant life and the pool with waterfall was stunning. The photos aptly illustrate the property and it was well stocked with everything we needed to cook and entertain ourselves. The beach is actually just a few blocks away so we were able to walk and explore and simply enjoy! Thank you!

We had a lovely time. The area is very pretty and the house is very pretty. That being said there are some other things you should be aware of. The beds are bit soft. There are two futon beds that are very uncomfortable , so only small children could sleep on them. The room requires a heater, which can smell a bit like fuel. The bedrooms are located near the expressway entrance so you will hear traffic throughout the night that takes a bit of getting use to. The pool is NOT heated even though it says so in the advertisement. Very close to things.

I had the most heavenly birthday celebration in this breath-taking oasis. When we arrived and entered the compound it just took my breath away. It was beautiful beyond all expectations. The dogs were able to run and play in their own private park. We delighted in daily walks to the nearby dog-friendly beach, where we all swam in the ocean in perfect weather, then came back to warm up in the amazing pool/spa. Outdoor meals in a park-like, completely private setting were pure pleasure. We just can't wait to visit our new favorite spot again. One of the best rooms is the master bath, with soaking tub & great TV, AND incredible view of the gardens. The giant rain shower was so relaxing & delightful...made it very hard to come home.

A Week in Paradise

My family and I spent one week in Paradise. We were able to enjoy a week of gorgeous weather in a warm and inviting home. We relaxed by the pool, enjoyed wine in the evening on the patio and sampled the local restaurants. The gardens are lovely! The house was a home , comfortable , welcoming and inviting. During our stay we walked to the beach and sampled the highlights of Santa Barbara. This included wine sampling, olive oil tastings and shoppping. Our teenage daughter enjoyed the beach and surfing lessons. She enjoyed the week as much as we did and would love to go back again! She has not stopped speaking about her California adventures and the experiences that she was able to try. One week was simply not enough to explore, sample and relax. The neighborhood restaurants were varied with regard to type of food and price range. The shopping offered a variety of stores and syles. Museums, parks and outdoor activities were plentiful. We are thankful that we found this beautiful home and lovely owners. It is truly a gem!

Top Notch Rental Experience

We spent the month of March relaxing and enjoying this verdant oasis. The setting, landscaping and plantings, as well as frequent visits by birds of many species attracted to the cascading waterfall (bring binoculars), enhance the magnificent outdoors living space. The house is well planned, thoughtfully furnished and well maintained. The owners handled minor problems during our stay quickly and efficiently. I most definitely would recommend it to friends and relatives. The Santa Barbara area holds myriad attractions for all ages and interests as well as many excellent restaurants and beautiful beaches. Thank you most belatedly, Lisa, Derrick and Lorena, for a wonderful stay.
Owner response:Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We're thrilled you enjoyed our home and hope you keep us in mind should your travel plans bring you back to Santa Barbara. Kindest Regards~Lisa

What a SPECTACULAR home!! Gorgeous, beautiful setting, so comfortable, lush, and welcoming -- the owners have thought of everything! Perfect location right near beach and town, but also totally secluded. We've already spread the word to all our friends and are only hesitant to rave as much as is warranted, because we're concerned the place might be all booked when we plan to come stay there again! Awesome home, perfect rental.

This place is paradise. The pictures do not really tell the whole story. The gardens are mature and lush. You feel like you are in a tropical paradise. The location is fantastic. We had teenagers that were "given freedom" to ride bikes to the beach and State Street. Walking or biking distance to restaurants and bakeries in Coast Village. The home is very large with plenty of room for two families. Would stay again. Restaurant tips: Lucky's,Blue Agae, Joe's (drinks) Xandau,Pierre LaFond (bakeries) Paradise Cafe, Pascucci,Tupelo Junction (restaurants)
