This secluded 7-bedroom/7-bathroom Calistoga estate is located just outside of the village of Calistoga in Napa Valley. The private villa sits in the center of an 8.5 acre parcel surrounded by 4 acres of vines and gardens with no nearby neighbors. While secluded, it has the distinct advantage of being located only 1.5 miles from downtown Calistoga with plenty of restaurants, markets, and shopping.

The breathtaking panoramic views are reminiscent of Italy overlooking the vineyards, olive trees, the Palisade mountains, and Mount St. Helena. At sunset, the colors can change from deep golden yellows to rich rusts colors as the sun sets behind the hills.

The estate is divided into 3 adjacent villas with a total of 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms (1 king/4 queens/7 twins beds plus a queen futon); one villa contains 3 bedroom suites and the other 2 bedroom suites…each bedroom has its own bathroom each containing two luxury robes for your convenience. The third villa contains 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with a large bunk room which sleeps 4 people. The estate was intentionally designed with three distinct villas to increase privacy and reduce the noise that usually results from hosting a large number of people. It also contains 2 large living/family rooms, each with a 50” plasma TV and home theater.

The main villa contains the fully stocked gourmet kitchen with a 6 burner Viking Range, 2 ovens, a Sub Zero refrigerator, 2 dishwashers, a wine refrigerator, and a microwave. The adjacent villa contains a kitchenette with a refrigerator, sink, and microwave and an office with a high speed broadband Internet connection, phone, and printers. There is also wireless access in and around the property as well as an audio system (iPod ready) to broadcast music both indoor and out. The villa has central air conditioning and heating, an indoor and outdoor fireplace, and 3 sets of washers/dryers.

The estate was designed for outdoor living. It contains 12 sets of french doors that open to ~1000 sq ft of balconies and ~2000 sq ft of covered patios. There is a large outdoor gazebo with a full outdoor kitchen that includes a professional gas grill, 2 burner stove, sink, and refrigerator. The estate also contains a large pool and Jacuzzi/spa (42x20 ft) with a child safety auto-cover, a tennis court nestled into the vineyard, a professional grade sand volleyball court, bocce ball court, outdoor gas firepit, outdoor shower, and a fully equipped exercise room with a treadmill, elliptical, Olympic weights and dumbbells, and 4-stack weight machine.

The property also contains a newly constructed barn that houses a private game room with a pool table, ping pong, air hockey, and dartboard and a large rose garden adjacent to the Villa which provides fresh roses on a daily basis.

Nearby activities/sights include famous Napa Valley wineries & restaurants, luxury spas, a wild animal safari, hot air balloon rides, hiking, biking, and rock climbing,

Cleaning, on-site massage, and catering can be provided on a daily basis for an additional fee.

Spectacular Vineyard Estate for Active Lifestyles-Kid-Friendly

Year Purchased: 2005

Why the Owner Chose Napa

We live in San Francisco and have always dreamed of building a home in the Napa Valley. It tooks us 2 years of hard work, but we finally finished our dream home in June, 2007. Located a little over an hour away, it's just far enough to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, but not far enough that we don't waste our precious free time on the road commuting back and forth. Napa offers year around activities, some of the best restaurants in California, great weather, and beautiful scenery to get away from it all. We searched for years to find the perfect piece of land. The Villas are located at the center of an 8 acre parcel that is surrounded by 4 acres of premium vineyards at the base of Mt. Saint Helena and the Palisades mountains. The view from our property is the best Napa Valley has to offer.

The Unique Benefits at this Estate

Our families are very outdoorsy and appreciate a wide variety of activities. Our estate offers a wide range of activities including tennis, volleyball, bocce ball, swimming, jacuzzing, a complete gym and game room, an outdoor gas fire pit, and gourmet indoor and outdoor kitchens. Great biking and hiking are minutes away along with a host of excellent restaurants. We're so self-contained, we rarely feel the need to leave the property.

Owner's Map of Napa

Our Estate is located just over a mile outside of the village of Calistoga.

Family Holiday in Napa

Guest: Ginny (Reno, NV)
Date of Stay: 12/27/10 Review Submitted: 07/26/11

We stayed at this beautiful home last December. It was everything that we hoped it would be...immaculate, beautifully appointed, spectacular grounds...exactly as depicted in the property description. We had such a wonderful time that we're planning a return trip in November. Everyone from our family said it was the vacation they had ever been on - something for everyone from an 8 year-old to family members celebrating their 50th birthdays!

Fantastic Napa Paradise!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was, indeed, a fantastic family getaway, fully represented by the site. It easily housed our extended clan of 17, ages 5 - 75 years old. The full package of accommodations was outstanding - elegant and full service. We ate gourmet meals, roasted s'mores by the fireside and fully enjoyed the pool, tennis court, game room, bocce court, large trampoline, and beach volley ball court. This property makes you feel both totally at home, and completely far away in a wonderfully pampered way. Wonderful!

Recommended to us by friends who stayed here in 2009 we decided to visit in July to celebrate a special event in our family. The family [ 11 ] was accommodated with ease and comfort and enjoyed the numerous excellent on site amenities which are accurately reflected in the photos. Calistoga and its surrounding area has much to offer in the way of excellent restaurants and wineries. The owners are to be congratulated on designing a fully functional property of this calibre, well maintained and with a very helpful on site caretaker with good connections in the area for restaurants and wineries. Highly recommended for a family vacation and we would stay here again. To fail to enjoy a stay here would be of your own creation.

Great setting for work meeting, would be even better to be there for pleasure!

Quarterly executive meeting held with 6 participants. This is one of the nicest locations we have found so far since changing our meeting format from resort hotels to villas where we can all be together for a couple of days. Great facilities and layout. Good privacy in each room. Would be wonderful with families and kids. We did not have time to enjoy all parts of the house or facilities offered. We were lucky with 90 degree weather in October.

Wonderful retreat in wine country

Guest: Brian (SF)
Date of Stay: 10/16/09 Review Submitted: 06/21/10

Myself, some family and friends stayed here and really enjoyed it. The buildings look to be newly renovated and are very tastefully done, spacious and well-appointed. The setting is truly gorgeous - the property is in a beautiful valley just below Mt Helena, and a vineyard surrounds the buildings. It's also only a few minutes from downtown Calistoga. There are lots of activities on the property, from the tennis court (with a ball machine!) to the sand volleyball pit, a bocci ball court, a separate play house with a pool table and air hockey for the kids, and a large swimming pool. And of course there is all the rest of wine country just past the end of the long driveway. Great for individual families or groups. A little over an hour outside of San Francisco.

Family Reunion

Guest: Reddancer (Pittsburgh)
Date of Stay: 05/27/10 Review Submitted: 05/27/10

The incredibly beautiful Calistoga Vineyard Estate was the best decision we ever made for our first family reunion. The view from the property is spectacular, The house was impeccable, from the cleanliess of the rooms, to the variety of amentities, ie. pool, outside kitchen, tennis court, volley ball court, game room and the work out facility. The location of the estate is a short bike ride into the city where you can dine in some of the finest restaurants and shop till you drop. This jewel is an outstanding respite, snuggled into the vineyards of the beautiful Calistoga valley. I can hardly wait to return this July for the second time. I would highly recommend the Calistoga Vineyard Estate to any one that is looking for a great place to unwind, relax and enjoy the beauty of mother nature.

Gated estate great for families

Guest: JK in Mill Valley (Mill Valley, CA)
Date of Stay: 05/21/09 Review Submitted: 04/30/10

We had been looking for a long time for a place that offered the same amenties as a high end family oriented Club Med but without the hassle of extended travel or crowds and we found it in this place. The layout of both houses is extremely conducive to large groups with lots of kids, and the pool, especially the in pool seating area and outdoor kitchen, are fantastic for large family meals. Add to this on site sand volleyball, tennis, a cool game room in the barn with ping pong, fussball and air hockey and fantastic road and mountain biking nearby and you have the makings of a great family vacation. It was more than we were originally looking to spend, but we will be back.

Wonderful

Guest: Indaserv (SF)
Date of Stay: 03/07/10 Review Submitted: 04/29/10

If you are family and sports-oriented, this vineyard estate is the ideal place to be for a weekend (or longer!). Right outside the front gate are miles and miles of some of the best road biking in the country. On the estate itself we played tennis, bocce, volleyball, and swam all day, every day. Great times had by all.
