Come relax and enjoy a quiet getaway in this charming three-bedroom/two-bath beach house located on a private street in Grayton Beach. It sleeps 8 with 3 queens & queen sofa sleeper. Complete kitchen remodel in 2008-new floors, granite tops & stainless steel appliances etc. All new bedding and linens throughout the house as well.
Walker House has a 12 x 29' private pool with built-in seating bench and spa jets. Pool can be heated off season, for an additional charge per week. It is complete with Ducane natural gas grill, tropical landscaping, night lighting, market umbrella . The pool is located on the south side (beachside) of the home to capture the gulf breezes and surf sounds while cooking your favorite vacation meal. The west side (rear of the home) features a 10x16 open deck beyond the 10x40 covered/screened porch.
The house features Travertine stone and hardwood floor throughout the house. The common area interior walls are constructed of v-groove white washed pine, and combined with numerous original artworks, help add to its character. It has a spacious kitchen and open family area with a stereo system including CD player. Also it has 3TVs (new 37" flat panel in family room) and DVD players.
The master bedroom and bath are located upstairs with a private balcony overlooking the pool and also offering beautiful views of the gulf . The master bath has been completely renovated and enlarged in 2012 and features a large stone and glass tile walk in shower, new cabinet with two sinks and glass tile backsplash and a granite countertop.
It is approximately 100 yards to the beach, and the dune walkover is conveniently located 65 yards from the front steps. Wireless internet available at no extra charge. Ample parking.

Why the Owner Chose Grayton Beach
We both grew up in northwest Florida and began spending time at Grayton Beach in 1981. It was our dream to own property there and we bought a lot and built our first home in 1986. We have seen a lot of changes in the area over the years and remember the slower paced days we used to have just sipping coffee and chatting with neighbors in the mornings.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our many years of renting our home has helped us put our guests' comforts in line with their expectations. We love the pool and pool area that we added a few years ago. The proximity to the beach, restaurants, bike paths, etc makes our home a great vacation choice.
Owner's Map of Grayton Beach
We are in our early 50's and have one son. We love relaxing at the beach and sunsets with friends. We also love art...collecting and painting even though we have no real talent. Some of our best memories are from times spent at Grayton Beach.

If you are looking for a peaceful place that provides ample relaxation but close enough to "hot spots" on Highway 30A…Grayton Beach is for you. Our family of 5 had never been to the area and we are hooked. Not only is the beach absolutely beautiful but the Walker House has all you can ask for. The Walkers are wonderful people who were very pleasant, helpful, honest and accomodating. The house has all the comforts of home and a pool that I couldn't keep the kids out of. Everything is accessible by bicycle so bring them if possible! Grayton Beach State Park is breathtaking! Thanks again Walkers!

Wanted to escape the brutal Michigan January and February and searched for the ideal environment which is Walker House in Grayton Beach. The VRBO listing and photos are an apt presentation of the home but pictures cannot depict the true comfort the home and location deliver. The home is well stocked with all necessary items and the owners are absolutely remarkable; they are attentive and responsive to any need which there are few if any due to their diligent upkeep and maintenance. Grayton is conveniently located mid 30A so restaurants (great food everywhere), shops and art galleries are walking distance or a very short drive. I would highly recommend The Walker House!!!

We had a great trip to Grayton Beach and enjoyed Walker house very much. The pool was great alternative to the beach that was a short walk away. Owners were great to work with. 5th star was withheld as all the towels and sheets had the strong smell of cigarette smoke that required immediate washing when we arrived. We would stay again assuming the cigarette smoke issue can be corrected.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

What a wonderful vacation we had at the Walker house! Mary and Wayne made it so easy to schedule the trip. The house was very clean and comfortable. The private pool is just great for a family with small children(the gate locks so you don't have to worry). I have already been thinking of the next time we can get away to Grayton beach and stay at this great find!!

This was our 7th spring break in the Destin area, and Grayton Beach has been one of our favorite areas to explore. We could not have picked a better rental! With the threat of storms, and cool weather, we were able to enjoy the wonderful heated pool in the yard, day and night. The inside of the home is decorated beautifully....I believe some of the art was created by the owner (Mary), and it was fun discovering the pieces throughout the home. The kitchen was well stocked, the rooms were comfortable, with plenty of room for all 7 of us (3 adults, 4 teens). The home and property were extremely clean, the grounds beautiful. One block from the dunes to the west, and just a few houses and boardwalk to the south are all that separates this home from the gulf. You can hear the waves at night with the windows open, and see the gulf from the different balconies througout the home. Funky stores and the Red Bar restaurant (our favorite in the Destin area) are a few walking blocks away. Great access to biking trails, great fishing opportunities at the lake on the east part of Grayton, and the beautiful white sandy beach for swimming and kayaking....all activities in walking distance and we enjoyed them all! We already miss it, after just returning home yesterday! We hope to return soon and would certainly recommend to friends and family. Thank you Mary and Wayne for providing such a great rental property for vacationing families. We truly loved your home!

The Walker House is a wonderful home away from home. The decor is beautiful yet comfortable. Kitchen is very well stocked. The pool, landscaping & lighting are well maintained. GREAT location! We want to go back. Mary & Wayne could not have been easier to work with.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Walker House. It is a very nice home that is beautifully decorated. The pool is wonderful, especially with young children who love to swim! The upstairs balcony is a wonderful place to watch the evening sunset. All in all, we had a wonderful visit. Mary and Wayne Walker were a pleasure to rent from!

I can only say wonderful things about the Walker House. I was lucky enough to spend two full months there! The location is perfect, the house is amazingly cozy and it felt like home on the beach. I would change nothing, and wish for nothing more. Thank you Wayne and Mary Walker!
