Located off the coast of Vancouver, Salt Spring Island boasts Canada's warmest year-round climate and its best natural scenery.

Our cottage, 'Paradise Found', sits on the shoreline of pristine Cusheon Lake, home to only about two dozen houses and bountiful wildlife. From the spacious south-facing sundeck you can either enjoy breakfast and soak up some sun or later, search for shooting stars from the hot tub.

From the private dock, you can fish for trout, perch & bass or drop a bottle of wine in the ice bucket and explore the lake in the row-boat. The country scenery is unforgettably beautiful.

Swim in the toasty warm pollution-free lake, shared by otters, beaver and exotic birds, such as bald eagles. Or walk to the public golf course short 2 miles away. At night, throw some of the succulent freshly-caught island salmon or halibut on the barbecue and watch the sun melt down behind the mountain view.

The nearby harbour-side Ganges Village is a vibrant, friendly community with great restaurants, pubs, local arts/crafts galleries and a summer-long crafts fair. There's also a delightful summer open-air market every Saturday (April-Oct), a gym, supermarket, bookstores, gourmet coffee shops all other amenities.

This little island paradise also offers great hiking, delightful viewpoints, canoeing/kayaking, sailing, sight-seeing, beaches and even a little night life. There's something for everyone with a taste for a laid-back atmosphere and a love of the good life.

You're also only a 25-minute float plane ride ($80 CDN - U.S.$60) from Vancouver International Airport or enchanting Victoria's inner harbour or 35 minutes from downtown Vancouver. There's a 2.5-hour ferry ride from the mainland, but only 35 minutes by ferry from Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island.
