This truly is a place of respite. Tucked in amongst a beautiful forest, there was no reason to leave. The house is one level with few steps, spacious (yet warm and homey) and fully furnished with everything you need. Just bring your suitcase. We shopped the next day for the food we needed for our 5 day stay. The grounds are more beautiful than the pictures can capture. Sparkling pool, therapeutic hot tub (on a covered deck), and the waterfalls/ponds created a peaceful serenity day and night. The owners were warm and cordial. The rates are extremely reasonable and we received our deposit expeditiously. There's enough shopping in the nearby towns (Grants Pass within 3 miles - Medford just 35 minutes South) yet you feel far removed from city life at the house. Great fishing destination with the Rogue River nearby.

Our stay exceeded all expectations. You really couldn't find a more relaxing spot to spend several summer days. The pictures don't do the outdoor grounds justice as this is really one of the more remarkable properties you will see. The pool, hot tub and outdoor space are wonderful. Dick and Delores were friendly and very hospitable. We didn't make it on the river this trip but would definitely make it a priority for our next trip.

Vacation planning requires a certain degree of relentless research when you’re trying to find that ideal and often elusive balance between having all the fun you want and a budget that limits what you can actually afford to do. For me, the effort paid off when I discovered rental 175946 on HomeAway’s website. Also known as the Wild Rogue Oasis, this place is a destination unto itself and is the ideal place to relax while enjoying all its amenities and beautiful surroundings. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owners, Dick and Dolores, who were gracious and caring. Their primary concern was that we enjoyed our stay. They gave us a half-hour tour to instruct us in the use of the equipment and lay the ground rules. The house is very well equipped with a useful assortment of cooking utensils, barbeque tools, air mattresses and bedding, laundry detergent, plastic bags, paper towels, spices, and even a dedicated Smores holder to use with the fire pit (wood provided too!). Outside is where you’ll find a bit of Paradise. You’ll want to spend a lot of time there to enjoy the artificial creek that meanders through a hollowed log and under a bridge toward the two ponds that contain about 150 Koi (that you can feed via a coin-operated dispenser). There are wood walkways throughout, and a large in-ground, solar heated pool and a pool house that has a bathroom for the ultimate in convenience. The Old West facades used to hide filtering equipment, and other unique touches, bring a lot of character to the ambiance. We had a great stay and highly recommend Dick and Dolores’ house for those special get-away vacations. I also highly recommend the Hellgate Jet Boat tour in Grants Pass.

I have rented 5 different places using VRBO. This is the first place that I can actually say I'd be back in a heartbeat! I love this house and the grounds, and of course Dick and Dolores. They are the most unbelievable hosts. Many viewers have already commented on the grounds and all the notes regarding the grounds are completely true, so I don't have to write about them. What struck me was that the house was so clean. There wasn't a speck of dust anywhere. The windows were even spotless as if they were washed just before we arrive. I started looking for dust/dirt and it wasn't there. (I can't say that about any other place we've rented) The kitchen had EVERYTHING you could possibly need, even an ice cream maker and Dick gave us the run down on how to use it, and even brought us rock salt. My girls ages 9 and 11 loved feeding the koi fish and playing in the pool. I would highly recommend the Wild Rogue Oasis house to anyone traveling to Grants Pass. I wish we were able to rent it for a longer stay. Thank you so much Dick and Dolores for opening up such a wonderful place to share with visitors. I loved our stay at your home as did my family.

Our group of ladies (The Runaways) have been together for 27 years. In that time period we've done extensive traveling. Dick and Dolores' home was so exceptional it made it into our top 3 list. The pictures reallly don't do it justice. The pool/hot tub/koi ponds were exceptional. Would we go back? DEFINITELY! -

We rented this place in June 2011. It is awesome. You can't find another place that is so organized but so homey. We met our family there, two from Germany, four from Tallahassee, and two from Bradenton. Florida. There were six adults and two kids, (12 and 8). The grounds and the pool were used excessively. It was unanimous, that if we are ever in the Medford region, we would definitly sign up again. It certainly hard to leave.

We had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful home with a yard that is like a resort. We enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi, and the peace an quiet very much. Just about everything you might need is provided, and the kitchen is especially well-equipped. We would highly recommend this home for its close proximity to many Rogue Valley sites as well.

A picture tells a 1000 words and the pictures of this property are true and accurate. Dick and Dolores have kept this property picture perfect. Everything about this property is beautiful. Dolores gave us a wonderful welcome and expained everthing to us. The pool and spa were very clean. I was already recommending this property to friends in the area before we even left. This truly was the best vacation spot we have had the privelege to come across.

Thank you so much for a fantastic weekend. Dick and Delores have taken care of EVERY detail. The house is IMMACULATE, the landscaping breathtaking, and the pool was a great place to "just hang out". our small reunion was such a success because of the beautiful surroundings. We were able to BBQ, Swim and have evening fires in the "smelters pot". The antiques can keep interested alone, be sure to bring a camera. I would give this Home and Accomodations a 10...we will be back... If you are looking for a place to go....THIS IS A MUST....D&D Thank you....

This location was absolutely perfect for our family get together. The house is great, the Koi pond is amazing and even though the weather wasn't as warm as we had wanted the pool and hot tub were very inviting. Great location to get to the Rogue River. The owners were very nice and they had everything we needed for our stay. Definately will stay here again if we go to this part of Oregon again. You will be in awe when you see this property!

It was a wonderful family get together with 4 generations being represented. Family came from Camarillo, CA, Napa, CA & the Rouge Valley. There was something for every one. The pool hit the spot with all the kids. If you want a place of quiet there were plenty of benchs by the ponds to read & relax. The house was wonderfully decorated and met all of our needs. The little goody plate left for us was yummy delicious and the blend of coffee just right. The beauty and serinity of the Wild Rogue Oasis was outstanding. The kids loved to watch the Koi and getting to feed them. We would definately stay here again and recommend it to our friends. Laura

We had a wonderful stay with our family in July. There were plenty of activities in the area for day trips and the Rogue Oasis is in a great location. Our group would look forward to returning 'home' each afternoon to relax and refuel. The house and grounds are immaculate and the privacy and seclusion are enviable. We could see so many stars at night while swimming in the pool! Beautiful!

Had a fantastic time for 12 days. My huspand never wanted to leave the house. The garden and pool is out of this world, we wished we could transplant the entire property to Arkansas. Lots of things to do, jet boat rides, coast, crater lake among some of them. We really wished we could stay longer. Thanks. The PAlludans

We rented this wonderful property for our Moms get together in the summer! It was wonderful with the warm weather, pool, shade and sunshine to lay in and a cool house to enjoy. The rooms are very quiet for those that would like to sleep before others go to bed. The bed itself was a dream to sleep in, very soft. Kitchen was fully equipped and enjoyed the BBQ outside too. Many nice things to say about the landscaping... It's almost like you're a world away but yet, town is a short drive. We will be back! Thanks for sharing this piece of heaven!

Wow! We have definitely been spoiled for anywhere else. You have raised the bar substantially. You would never have to leave the property, but we did and there are many good reasons to venture out: jet boat excursions, vineyard hopping, golf, fishing, redwoods,Crater Lake, the amazing southern Oregon coast-just to name a few. We had a wonderful time and hope to return.

The privacy, quietness and close proximity to town was exactly what we were looking for. The Hotchkiss' have definitely created a paradise here and we will return for sure! What a wonderful place. It’s a 5 star house and we had such a good time spending our vacation there. The place is very clean and neat. Our kids loved the outdoor pool everyday and we enjoyed the hot tub very much after the day trip. We enjoyed the beautiful garden, koi ponds, waterfall and the pool. We also enjoyed making the “Smores” in the fire pit although the weather was very warm. The place is peaceful and relaxing and the hosts, Dolores and Dick are wonderful. They are really putting their heart and their love to make this beautiful home comfortable and relaxing. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Terrific house for a family vacation - in a secluded and quiet setting, yet it has everything! The garden is a vacation in itself with beautiful landscaping, koi ponds, waterfalls, a pool and jacuzzi. It was a perfect place from which to take day-trips and then come home to relax and unwind. One of our favorite family vacations!

Seven adults and 3 children aged 22mo to 8 yrs. all stayed at this home for three nights. All linens were clean, there were more than enough towels and the kitchen was stocked with all the things we might possibly need. Everyone had room to relax as well as play. Games and books were available. We would love to return! Our daughter rented another cabin for more money and they didn't have clean sheets or towels when they got there in the evening!!!! We would recommend this property to anyone who asked.

Dick and Dolores' property is simply amazing....VERY comfortable master bed that my husband and I used. Immaculate pool with water toys (and outside sound system so you can listen to music by the pool), beautiful ponds, big screen TV with movie selections, books, fully stocked kitchen, new BBQ grill and S'More pit...outside jacuzzi and picnic table.....you simply MUST stay here on your next trip to the Rogue River area! We brought our two teenage kids and had a BLAST!

This place is a 5. What a wonderful experience. We meet the family at this three room facility, and had a great time. We used the hot tub every night. Easy to get to where we wanted to go. Everything we needed was there. We are going to plan to go back in the summer to enjoy the outdoor pool. This is a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the area. You cant go wrong by booking here!
Owner response:Bard and his family were awesome Guests. We really appreciated them a lot. We would like to clairify one of Brad's statements. This home is a three bedroom home, not a three room home. We'd love to be your hosts at Wild Rogue Oasis, so give us a contact. Dolores Hotchkiss, Wild Rogue Oasis
