Dolphins Dance is a lovely, fully equipped, gulf view, pet friendly (dogs and cats) townhouse in Barrier Dunes. We first visited Cape San Blas (and the Florida Panhandle) in April 2007, fell in love with the unspoiled beauty of the area, and bought Dolphins Dance. We picked this particular townhouse because it has a gulf view and it backs on a small lake which makes the two back decks, one covered and one open, completely private. It is an end unit in a very quiet part of Barrier Dunes and yet one of the closest units to the beach, less than a minute to the beach and oceanfront pool. It has two bicycles and beach gear and is our home away from home, so it has everything guests could ever want or need!

The beach is pristine, fine white sand. You can walk for miles. The beach is also super dog friendly and the water near Dolphins Dance is shallow close to shore, making it an excellent place for small children and dogs to play in the surf. I have also seen many teenagers enjoying skim boarding in the shallow water close to shore.

Barrier Dunes itself is ideally situated on the Cape, right next to the entrance to St. Joe's Peninsula State Park with its many hiking, biking, wildlife viewing and beach exploring opportunities. An excellent location also to take a canoe or kayak and explore the wildlife rich back bay. There is also a boat launch, so whether you bring your own boat, and yes, there is parking available for a boat at Dolphins Dance, or whether you rent a boat, you can do so easily and conveniently.

Dolphins Dance is close to two small picturesque and interesting small towns, Apalachicola to the east and Port St. Joe to the west. You will find restaurants, shops, and sporting activities galore close by. Go horseback riding right on the Cape. Rent a power boat or go deep sea fishing. It's all nearby. There is also an excellent golf course 15 minutes away.

Dolphins Dance is clean, super comfy and absolutely fully equipped.

Amenities	Air Conditioning: Also fans in both bedrooms, the living area and on the lanai. There are separate air conditioning units for the upstairs and downstairs giving you great flexibility of comfort. Washer: Inside Dolphins Dance. Dryer: Inside Dolphins Dance. There is an iron and ironing board as well, not that I expect you to need them! Linens Provided: Beach towels and pet spreads are also provided. Everything you need! Covered Parking: Space for three cars or two cars and a boat. There is a boat launch nearby. Parking for RV/Boat/Trailer: There is parking for a boat.
Beds	Queen Bed (2): Very comfortable! Convertible Bed: Queen size sofa bed in the living room.
Entertainment	Cable/Satellite TV (3): The living room has a lovely entertainment unit with 32-inch TV and VCR/DVD player. Each bedroom has a TV, one with DVD player and one with VHS player. There are movies in Dolphins Dance and books too. DVD (2) VCR (2) Video Library: Children's and other movies, mostly DVDs. CD Player Stereo System Music Library: A range of CD's. Dolphins Dance also has some children's games and a selection of books. Shared Pool (2): One pool is gulfside with a beautiful view. The other is located right beside the lighted tennis courts. The pool near the tennis courts is heated.
Kitchen	Full Kitchen: Fully equipped--it also has a microwave oven, electric can opener, blender and an indoor grill. Plenty of utensils, plates and glasses for both inside and outside. Cooking Utensils Provided: If you like cooking, you will have everything you need. Refrigerator: Modern, glass shelves, ice maker. Dishwasher Microwave Ice Maker
Outdoor Features	Gas/Electric BBQ Grill: Located on the covered lakeside lower deck, just off the living room. Brand new in 2008! Deck/Patio: Off the back bedroom, this deck is open and overlooks the lake. Balcony: A lovely gulf view balcony off the front bedroom. Lanai: Off the living room, private, overlooking a lake, covered. Gazebo: Shared, right on the gulf - perfect for picnics!
View/Location	Ocean View: There is a gulf view from the balcony just off the front bedroom. Lakefront: Dolphins Dance backs on a small lake which is stocked with fish. You can fish right from a Dolphins Dance back deck! The lake also has other wildlife such as turtles and varied birds. My website shows a photo of a Great Blue Heron standing on the fishing pier in the lake, just steps from Dolphins Dance. It also has a shot of some baby turtles sunning themselves on a tire placed there as a turtle swimming platform.
Communications	Telephone: Telephone with two handsets. The telephone has an answering machine too. Broadband Internet WiFi (Wireless Internet): Free wireless Internet.
Suitability	Pet Friendly: Dogs and cats welcome. There is a pet rental agreement. Cats must be declawed or have their claws well trimmed. Kid Friendly: There is a playground and tennis courts and of course the two pools. But the best feature is the fantastic beach which is quite shallow near shore - perfect for small children and great for skim boarding. Minimum Age Limit for Renters: At least one renter must be 25 years of age or older. Smoking Not Allowed: Smoking is only permitted outside on the decks.
