We had a wonderful time this year at the Cape. Dolphin's Dance is such a great place to stay...it has everything we needed for an enjoyable vacation. The weather was beautiful and the dogs had fabulous time. We got the opportunity to visit with other people who were back again at Barrier Dunes and also met some new friends. I can't wait to go again.

Winter at Dolphin Dance

Cathy and Tom, Wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had at Dolphin Dance. Stayed for two months and enjoyed every day. The condo is very comfortable, well taken care of and has all the essentials for everyday living. Privacy from both back decks is great, we loved sitting out there listening to the fountain. We feel it has the most private decks in Barrier Dunes. It was also nice to sit on the swing watch the turtles and fish while we barbecued. It is a short walk to the beach. Takes longer because everyone stops to talk. The community is very friendly. The weather was great for our two months, the bonfires fun and the beach is beautiful. Teamo, our dog loves the beach. She waits for us to throw seashells back in the gulf so she can run out there to get them and ride the waves back in. Tony is now a fisherman, he caught lots of great fish and we had some good meals. Cathy and Tom have been great to work with. We had no problems at all, in fact, we will be back next year, same time, same place.

This was the first time to the Cape and it was so beautiful! The condo was very easy to find and located in such a great location. It has everything one needs to enjoy time away from home. We really enjoyed the rear patios overlooking a pond in the backyard. The water fountain was soooo relaxing. The walk to the beach was short and pleasant even at night. The grill and beach chairs you so kindly let us use made our stay that much better. We took home so many memories from Dolphins Dance and The Cape. Thanks so much for working with us on such short notice. I wont hesitate to recommend Double D to friends and family. I just hope to get back there before they do :)

A perfert place to stay!

I found this property via this web site and I was first intriqued by the name, as I love dolphins. After I contacted the owner, I promptly received information that the week I had requested was available and my vacation was booked in February. Once I arrived, everything that I had viewed and read about the property was before me. I was not disappointed! I can't say enough how wonderful it is. The townhouse is beautifully decorated and there was not anything I needed that wasn't there. The beach is lovely and my dogs had a great time. I will certainly return again!

LOVED DOLPHIN'S DANCE!!!

We had a fantastic stay at Dolphin's Dance in Barrier Dunes! We found the condo without any problem. Cathy was very helpful and check-in was simple. It was exactly as pictured and even better! The condo was super clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen had all the extras for anything we wanted to cook. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were great. We really liked having the outdoor shower for when we came in from the beach. Being on the end we had so much privacy and loved all the decks. The furniture was so comfy and enjoyed the nice tv and all the games and books on the rainy days. Every room was decorated so tastefully. It was great for the kids to be able to ride their bikes around without worrying about traffic and lots of people. They also loved fishing right off the deck and watching the turtles in the pond. The beach was gorgeous and not crowded!! Just a few minutes walk to get there. The water in the ocean was cold but the boys wore wet suits and had a blast with the boogie boards. Really made use of all the beach chairs and toys provided. We visited St Joseph's Park which was beautiful and just down the road. Went to St Vincent Island and found tons of beautiful seashells. Fishing with Captain Dwayne of Book A Charter was so much fun! He was so patient and great with the kids! We caught twenty one fish in the bay. Would definitely recommend Joe Mama's Pizza and Pepper's in Port St. Joe. Hope we can come back next year and stay at Dolphin's Dance! The Fox Family, Washington,INDIANA

Great Vacation at Dophins Dance

This was our second trip to Barrier Dunes and the best by far. Cathy's townhouse is everything you could ask for...kitchen well equipped, furniture and beds most comfortable and all the latest electronics. We booked for the entire month of February and still would have liked to stay longer. Hunter (our Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever) just loves being able to run on the beautiful beach. Cape San Blas is so laid back compared to the rest of Florida. No traffic and the locals are great. The only disappointment is the condo is already booked for next year...maybe in 2013!

Excellent townhome in a convenient location

We really enjoyed our long weekend stay at this townhome. Leading up to the trip, our interactions with the owner were pleasant and she was very helpful in answering our questions so we'd be sure we'd have what we needed when we got there. We arrived without incident and were pleasantly surprised by what we found. The directions and check-in/check-out procedures were detailed and easy to follow. The townhome itself is tastefully decorated and very clean. My only real concern before arrival was that it might be difficult going to and from the beach with a lot of gear. I think it strikes a good balance between being close enough to be convenient but not so close you have to deal with the traffic of everyone else passing by your doorstep. We loved being able to take along our small dog. The neighborhood is well kept and we never felt insecure, even walking the dog late at night by the light of streetlamps. Dog service stations are strategically located throughout the development, one very close to this unit. Having the state park close by is a nice bonus to what the neighborhood already offers. There's a well-stocked little convenience store a few miles away. We definitely would stay here again and would recommend it to friends.

Dolphins Dance is a great condo at Barrier Dunes, one of the last developments on Cape San Blas before the state park. The Cape has not been over developed and I hope it stays that way! Cathy and Tom have provided everything you need for a wonderful beach vacation and their unit is roomy, clean, and very well maintained. Beach gear is provided and there are several access points to the beach from the complex. Our Labrador Retriever had as much fun as we did on the dog friendly beach. We dream of another visit to the Cape; it had been entirely too long since our last one. Thanks for offering such a terrific place to stay!

Hi Cathy, What a lovely condo you have and all the conveniences of home which makes a vacation even more special! All the extras are unbelievable, my mom and I were thrilled with having beach chairs, floats, and I thought the outdoor shower was a big bonus. Enough beach towels and dog towels for the week, so many extras you very seldom see at other condos. She was excited about all the spices and variety of items in the kitchen. The place was immaculate, lots of room, comfy beds, truly one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. You and your husband have obviously put in a lot of thought for visitors!

Dear Cathy, I wanted to tell you once again how much we enjoyed staying at your beautiful home on the Cape. When we arrived, and entered the gate to Barrier Dunes, we both remarked how lovely the landscape was everywhere around. When we arrived and entered your home, I knew immediately that this was going to be a wonderful trip. Your decorating was not only beautiful, but very well maintained. We so enjoyed waking up most days to sunshine and knew then it was going to be a great day! Although the weather was unseasonably colder than the average, we still found plenty of things to do. We so enjoyed going into Port St Joe and walking though the shops. We loved eating at Peppers and found everyone to be friendly and not always in a rush. Hi Cathy, Just a note to tell that we arrived at your condo today. We drove all day in the rain, and the sun came out just as we pulled into your driveway. The place is beautiful -- even nicer in person than in the web site photos. Kathy walked around and could not find a single thing to clean! The place is immaculate. The location of Dolphins Dance is a definite plus -- it is part of a small, separate, three-unit building at the edge of a large pond. This offers peace, quiet, privacy, and the company of a group of tame turtles who live in the pond. (Most of the other condos at Barrier Dunes are located in large collections of attached units facing each other across central lawns). The beach is a one minute walk away. Tennis courts and swimming pools are equally close. The owner, Cathy Kari, is a total pleasure to deal with. The condo itself is nicely furnished and immaculately clean. It is well-stocked with everything we could want or need, including books, DVDs, multiple televisions, and high-speed wireless internet. We had a great time in this vacation condo in Cape San Blas, and we recommend it without reservation. Thanks Cathy.

Hi Cathy, We are having a great time at Dolphins Dance! Dolphins Dance is a lovely property, we are having a wonderful time! The beach is gorgeous- Zoe is having a blast and the twins are beside themselves with excitement. The Cape in general is more than we could have asked for and the weather has been fabulous as well!

The pond was lovely and you could see the fish and turtles with binoculars. Plus we saw lots of beautiful butterflies and dragon flies and heard they were migrating. I am really picky about my water, so was very surprised that I could drink it right from the tap. I never had water taste that good in Florida or Alabama. By the way, you have a great selection of movies. We also loved the decor of the front bedroom - toward the ocean. So thanks again, we had a wonderful relaxing time. Hated to leave on Wed. Cathy: We arrived today around 3:00. Dolphins Dance is all you said it would be and more. I love all of the little finishing knick knacks!! Each room is special. The pictures did not do it justice. Fantastic place, has everything we need, enjoying the pool and beach, tried fishing but the turtles ate most of the bait..Yesterday had a beautiful sunset. ey Cathy! Just wanted to tell you thanks again for allowing us to stay in your townhouse in Cape San Blas, FL. It was very nice and we all enjoyed ourselves very much. We absolutely loved the beach. We loved how the kids could play in the ocean and we didn't have to really worry about them getting to deep. It was great. Your townhouse was beautiful and we enjoyed very much your allowing us to play with the beach toys. We have never had the opportunity to try boogie board and we tried.....key word "tried" but we had fun doing it. We saw all sorts of hermit crabs in the bay in St. Joseph's Peninsula State Park. We saw 5 deer on the beach. I never would have thought that we could see deer on the beach. I just didn't have my camera!!!! We traveled to Appalachicola one day and saw the fishing boats. That was pretty neat. (Only get to see those in the movies, hahaha) We really enjoyed visiting Cape San Blas, FL. Barrier Dunes is a wonderful place to stay, especially with small children. Oh, one more thing, my husband and I rode the bicycles to Coneheads one evening, for our date night and we really enjoyed doing that. We felt free and almost like kids again, just riding and being silly. We loved it and almost wished we had done it sooner, but with 2 small children, it's hard to do that. Thankfully, my mom offered to watch them 1 night so we could get away by ourselves. Thanks again, Cathy, for allowing us to have such a wonderful experience. (My mom found what is called "The Crucifix Fish" just lying on the sand in the St. Joseph's Bay. That was pretty cool too.) Thanks, Staci

Hi Cathy, Sorry I have not replied sooner. It has been hectic as usual as we catch up from being away. We did have a wonderful time on the Cape. This was our 4th time staying in Barrier Dunes and my whole family agreed that Dolphin's Dance was the nicest of the units we have rented. The unit was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The beach toys, umbrellas, chairs and bikes supplemented what we brought-it was nice to have extras. I did bring my boat and it worked out very nicely being able to easily park it under the unit. I also appreciate your being so helpful and friendly. For any future trips to Barrier Dunes, we will have you at the top of our list. Thanks again, Jimmy and family

Cathy, Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful townhouse with us. We really felt at home there.It was so comfy. The sofa and oversized chair was sooo comfy. I like the decor and loved your dolphin candleholders. All the extras were so nice. I really over packed. The beach stuff you provide was really nice.Never had that any where else. I also loved having a washer and dryer in the unit. It was so nice not to haul clothes back and forth, and not to come home with dirty clothes. Nemo liked the beach if he was sitting in our laps. Nemo does not like to get his feet wet, (He is soooo spoiled)He just liked being with us. Krystal really enjoyed the beach.This is the 1st year she has not wanted to go to the pool. She loved the beach, it is so beautiful! The prettiest I've ever seen that's no lie. The sand was gorgeous, the water was so clear, there was no seaweed or jellyfish. The waves were so beautiful and the shells! You can not find shells like that in other places in Fla. or Ala.It was really nice to see all the dogs. We will be back. Thank you so much for sharing your piece of paradise with us, I remember reading somewhere on your web to leave a spice if you like.
