A hidden jewel!

What a lovely little bungalow! Wish we'd discovered it sooner! Spent a lovely weekend here when our daughter graduated from Southwestern University, and it was just delightful! Well-appointed, beautifully--decorated, extremely comfy beds and cozy fireplaces. We often stay in VRBO properties, and this was the best-equipped kitchen I've ever seen-better than home. Very convenient to the great downtown shops and the campus. Only wish we could have enjoyed the backyard firepit, but weather did not work out. Owner was very helpful and friendly, too. The photos are great, but the reality was even better. Would stay again for sure!

All in all, this place is Awesome!

I was able to stay in this really cool Bungalow, this past weekend visiting family in Round Rock. It has EVERYTHING! We spent time outside mainly (the weather was perfect), grilling on the propane grill (again, they provide everything), taking advantage of the fire-ring, and just hanging out in the backyard and deck with really cool lighting. The beds are unbelievable - didn't want to get up in the morning. The kitchen is fully stocked for the chef in me, and we really liked all of the eclectic furnishings, art, fireplaces, and too many amenities to mention here. All in all, this place is awesome! Can't wait to stay here again. Thanks for everything!

Fabulous, Cozy Home!

This bungalow has a very pleasant and "homey" feel. We loved the wood floors, the electric fireplace type heaters and the location near downtown. The beds were all very comfy. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The washer & dryer were great in that we were able to go home with all of our clothes clean! The kids had a great time roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. The living room was a great place to hang out and watch some tv. Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at this bungalow was great. The home is very well updated and well stocked, with all amenities provided that you would expect at a 4 star hotel. Will definitely stay here again when the need arises.

Very comfortable, great amenities, but lots of character, too. Great small touches and attention to detail. We stayed here while visiting family in Georgetown and would choose it again any time.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Break

Guest: Laura (Dallas, Texas)
Date of Stay: 11/25/10 Review Submitted: 12/07/10

Our stay at the Bungalow was wonderful! The description was accurate and the property is even nicer than the description allows. Everything was clean and fresh, the heaters worked well (which we needed, because it was chilly outside at night!). Johanna was great in responding to questions and even gave us suggestions for shopping. We would definitely stay here again. We had 3 couples (all family) and one toddler, so we were a little worried the aerobed wouldn't work out. It was perfect and very comfortable. Thanks for such a wonderful retreat.

A Good Time Was Had by All

This was certainly the cleanest place our group has stayed in our travels over the last 13 years. I especially appreciated arriving to find a new pizza pan and cookie sheets after I had talked to the owner with questions about kitchen gadgetry. Everything worked, everything was comfortable, and the owner was gracious the several times we called with questions.

We had a wonderful time in this charming, well equipped home. Although it was cold and rainy for most of our stay, the house was warm and comfortable, and made for a very peaceful getaway. The owner was easy to work with and very helpful. We will consider again when visiting the area.

We had such fun in Georgetown. We loved the house and it was right in the middle of everything. We shopped Salado, found wonderful restaurants in Georgetown and even an art show on the square. It was a great weekend and we will probably be back another year. Thanks.

Stayed a week at the bungalow during a baseball tournament in Round Rock along with another couple. Six of us in the house. Literally minutes away from the outlet malls and 15 minutes to Dell Diamond. House has everything we needed for sure. The two king beds were so comfortable and everything else was very much like home. Plenty of towels, utensils, cookware and a very nice coffee maker. Will definitely stay here again if ever in the area. Thanks Johanna.

This was a lovely place to stay. We were there for a wedding and it was in close proximity to all of our events. Clean , modern and quaint. Don't be surprised if a neighbor dog or cat comes to the back door to make friends! A very quiet neighborhood and it had all the ammenities you need. I would stay there again.

What a lovely historical house with all the modern amenities, including Wi Fi internet access. It is centrally located south of downtown Georgetown and has extremely easy access to Interstate 10, parks and shopping. Very quiet and tastefully decorated with a mix of old (bear claw tub) and new (high end appliances). It's a great place for work, recreation or rest. I hope to rent it again, and will definitely suggest it to traveling friends and family.

We had the most enjoyable time staying at the Bungalow. My parents shared the home with us. While they were very skeptical about renting a home versus the usual hotel room, they were beyond pleased. We were all impressed with the wonderful amenities, ranging from the lush bedding/towels down to the simple pleasures like toothpicks and coffee creamer! We put the baby in the stroller and walked to the square - which is a must for anyone visiting Georgetown. Not a single complaint. There is no doubt that our family will rent the Bungalow again in the future.

This charming bungalow exceeded our expectations! The beds are extremely comfortable, the period decor quite tasteful, the kitchen very practical and the location very convenient to both downtown ( easy walk to the historic courthouse )....yet a quick jaunt off I-35. We highly recommend this precious house for any purpose of visiting Georgetown.

The house and backyard turned out better than expected. Living room, bathrooms and bedrooms all very clean and all rooms very nicely appointed. Backyard has two great sitting areas and were used extensively. The street on which the house sits is one of the busier ones in Georgetown but we were not bothered by traffic noise. We had a great weekend there and would stay there again.

A friend and I stayed in the bunaglow for 4 days in June and it was very nice. Johanna has done a really good job of keeping it original but yet decorated to be a good mix of yesterday and today. Everything you could ever need for cooking and comfort is in the cottage with lots of room. Quiet for sleeping but close enough to activities to be there in moments. When I return to Georgetown if the cottage is available, I will stay again.

Our visit was just wonderful. We LOVED the house. It was so very comfortable and the refurb job that you did was just spectacular! We spent alot of time on the front porch swing and have decided that if, hopefully when, we settle down together we need to have a home with a wide front porch and a swing.

We highly recommended the Bungalow! My husband and I stayed in late February with his children who live near Georgetown. It was very clean and nicely furnished. The beds were extra comfortable, the kitchen had everything you might need and the back yard was very relaxing. It was MUCH better than a condo or hotel. Johanna was great to work with - we definitely plan stay there again!

We stayed here the last week in November and had a great time. The bungalow was furnished with everthing you need and more. We were really impressed with all the up to date kitchen appliances. Loved the place and would stay there again anytime.. The beds in this house are fabulous. I have stayed at many 5 star resorts that could not compare. Wanted to take them home. The owner. Johanna was super nice to deal with. Check this place out if you want to be close to Austin. It is only 16 miles away.
