3/09 Loads of Whales...
The house was great and the setting fantastic. Great skies, weather and loads of whales. The heater worked great, the kitchen was great and the dining room table was big enough for everyone. Everyone had a great time and we hope to do it again. Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Cliff Cove Chalet was a perfect retreat for us. What a stellar location! We were able to enjoy day trips to Gualala, Guerneville, and Bodega Bay. The home is quietly warm and welcoming, well-appointed, and unintrusive in it's location. It provided many vantage points for spectacular photography of the cove and Pacific beyond. The decor was charming and uncluttered. The kitchen was complete, and provided for some well-planned meals and libations!
We enjoyed our stay completely, and have attached a picture that sums up the vacation!

2/10 Amazing Time...
What an amazing time we had!! My family and I enjoyed every moment we had there. At one point I was sitting in the hot tub with my daughter looking at the ocean and I had one of those moments when you feel really lucky in life. I cant wait until we come back. This home will be our family vacation home for years to come if you will have us.

Have you dreamed of a romantic getaway, where the soft whisper of the ocean lulls you to sleep, and the gentle call of birds wakes you in the morning?
Set on two private acres, "Cliff Cove Chalet" overlooks one of the most breathtaking views on the Northern Sonoma Coast, and offers a beautiful and serene getaway with internet WIFI for those who need it.
Less than two hours north of the Golden Gate bridge, this newly remodeled home perched on an ocean bluff, is located between Jenner and Sea Ranch on the spectacular Sonoma coast. "Cliff Cove Chalet" offers 4+ bedrooms, hot tub, three fireplaces (two in bedrooms, one in the great room)with huge flat screen television over the mantle, spacious kitchen, and an array of lovely amenities*. Surrounded by expansive decks, you can host a barbecue for friends or family outdoors, or walk along the promontory-deck and quietly enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset. If romance is really in your bones, you may share a dance in the garden gazebo, or even reaffirm your vows.There is a fire circle for evenings and a horse shoe pit as well.
Upstairs is a great room with floor to ceiling (16 foot high) windows, with spectacular views of Ocean Cove and the Pacific. Also upstairs is a well equipped kitchen, a large outdoor deck with professional gas grill, and a bedroom/ bar with a twin trundle/day bed that can convert to a king. The great room is enhanced by a large hearth fireplace. There is a combo TV/VCR/DVD as well.
Downstairs there are three bedrooms, two with queen beds and fireplaces. Both of the queen rooms have fabulous ocean views through their French doors, that open to large decks and a hot tub. One other bedroom, also downstairs, has a double bed, and its own sink. There is a large laundry room big enough for a blow-up-bed for the kids in a pinch.
Walk down the lower deck walk that extends far down and out to a small promontory that feels like it's suspended over the ocean. On a lucky day you'll see seals and pelicans playing in the cove below you. Take a walk around the private two acre lot and have a glass of wine in the gazebo, or throw some horseshoes in the pit. Just a mile or so up the road enjoy the trails and beaches of Salt Point State Park, or drive the three miles to have dinner at the lovely Timber Cove Inn (or walk down the road for the more informal Salt Point Lodge). While you're in the neighborhood, take the kids the few miles down the road to explore historic Fort Ross. Enjoy!

Local Farmer’s Market on Sunday’s at Fort Ross School. 30600 Seaview Road. Open 10a.m.-1p.m. Local fresh produce, crafts, yummy treats, check it out!

Kruse Rhododendron Natural Reserve located 25050 Hwy 1, adjacent to Salt Point State Park. 5 miles of hiking trails through the quiet forest, a short loop trail will lead you through clusters of rhododendrons.

25 minute drive back down South. Our vacation rental company is located right in town. In town you will find a wonderful Coastal Gift shop, an all organic cafe with some food choices, gas station and deli, visitors center, kayak rentals, and a Wonderful Restaurant called River's End catching a sunset meal from here is spectacular!!
35 to 40 minute drive from Timber Cove. Restaurants, seafood, gift shops, surfing, horseback riding, beaches.
Just 1.7 miles north, Gerstle Cove offers wonderful hiking, great tide pools, fishing and lovely views. Gerstle Cove is a hot spot for Abalone Diving
About 3 miles north is Stump Beach. It’s a walk down to the beach from the parking lot, but well worth it. Take the hike from Fisk Mill to Stump Beach
About 15 minutes up the road, offers a nice restaurant, beaches, etc. The Sea Ranch Golf Course located on the north side of Sea Ranch just before Gualala is a pretty good course and about a 20-minute drive from the house

We had a great time at this property. There was room for all of us and the kids had a great time as did the adults. The only issue was the bath upstairs did not work and I wish they had left a couple more towels. View was spectacular, and we loved the location. Thank you! We hope to be back before it's sold!
