Our stay at the condo was terrific. It is conveniently located by the redline, within easy walking distance of the Magnificent Mile and other tourist sites. Amenities like grocery store and tons of restaurants are a stone's throw away. The view is great and the building upscale and well kept. Great pool and fitness room. Nicole was very helpful and accommodating answering our questions and provided everything to make our stay go smoothly. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My mother and I stayed for four days and found the condo to be just perfect for our needs. There is an expansive view from the balcony and the furnishings were in good condition with a modern touch. The bed was comfortable and linens were well stocked. Checking in was fast and the front desk representative was extremely courteous and helpful and listed all the facilities in the building as well as providing a map of the tourist sights. The location is incredibly convenient with the front door just around the block from the subway and near a large grocery store. Nicole was very responsive and friendly. She even called us to make sure we were settled in, making us feel very welcomed. Will definitely stay here again on next trip to Chicago!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

My husband and I vacationed in Chicago with our 6 year old daughter as a last minute trip before school. We list a lake property on VRBO in MN and decided to give it a try ourselves. We couldn't have made a better decision! The location of the condo was spot on for everything and even though we were guests, the people at the front desk made us feel right at home as if it was our own residence. There was plenty of room for us to relax and we enjoyed the city lights from the balcony which we wouldn't have been able to experience in a hotel. The kitchen was fully stocked and the grocery store was convenient right around the corner. It made mealtime stress free after long days of sight seeing. There were plenty of towels and linens to accomodate the 5 night stay. Everything was clean and the decor was modern. The public transportation couldn't have been easier and cheaper during visits to Shedd, Museum, Zoo. Navy Pier was within walking distance and so were 2 trips to American girl ;) We couldn't get enough of Michigan Avenue and restaurants on every corner. Would definitely recommend Quartino's Restaurant on State too. We plan to stay here again anytime we are in town. It was great to get out of the suburbs of MN and show our daughter a Big City experience!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.

My husband and I stayed in this Chicago condo for a week, and we loved every minute! Nicole was highly responsive to all our questions and was a great resource. The condo was very nicely decorated, very clean, and so convenient to everything we wanted to do downtown. Most things are within walking distance, and it's in a great location, just a few blocks from Michigan Ave. The condo really does have all the things you'd need for a week's stay, and everyone in the building seemed welcoming. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We arrived early morning for our stay at the Grand Plaza Apartments, bit of a hitch getting our key but it was soon resolved. Lovely spacious apartment, big bedroom, bathroom, lovely Lounge, full kitchen, washer and dryer, everything we needed except Laundry Powder, even perfume. We even had a balcony and what a view from the 19th floor, awesome. Nicole, apartment manager, was easy to get hold of by email and answered every question we had and resolved our queries. Property was clean and appeared well maintained. Absolutely spot on location for everything, we walked everywhere, even to Chinatown which was 23 blocks. However, there was ample public transport everywhere, dozens of cafes and restaurants and great shopping. If there was a negative,it would be the sofa sleeper in the lounge, definitely not comfortable for sitting on in the evening but not a huge problem given we were not in the apartment a lot. Would love to visit Chicago again and would have no hesitation staying at the Grand Plaza again and would recommend to others.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing.

Stayed in the unit on the 19th floor. Led to believe it would have everything we'd need. The bathroom had no bath or hand soap. Since we were led to believe it would we didn't bring any, had to go out and buy some. Fortunately we took shampoo because what was provided would have lasted two of us one day. The mattress is extremely worn, sags, and VERY soft. There was no mattress pad and the sheets were really worn, very pilled. We tried flipping the mattress to see if it could be made more comfortable, didn't help. We checked out the sleeper sofa to see if it would be more comfortable, no luck. You can feel the springs through the mattress. And can feel the springs when simply sitting on the sofa. The covers on the chair around the dining room table are worn and torn. It is definitely not "high end furniture" as advertised. Enough coffee for one day. Don't plan to cook, no spices or anything else for that matter to allow cooking. No dish cloths or dish towels to help with cleaning up after cooking. Had to clean the toaster before we'd use it - it was dirty. No wood floors as advertised. The floor we were on is noisy, lots of doors slamming, yelling and loud talking well past 10pm. Had to close the bedroom door to help keep the sound out. Parking was really expensive - $109 for the three nights we stayed. The positives(?), the location is great, the lobby is beautiful, the doorman is helpful. The balcony is a plus. We have rented a number of condos in the area, this was the worst.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 7/8

We wanted a place to stay when visiting our son who lived in the lake view area and to explore the city. The condo was centrally located and very close to the red line which made it easy to get around the city. We took the train from the airport. If you up for walking, we walked from Lincoln park, out to Navy Pier and to Grant's park. We mostly walked, used the subway and took a bus back from navy pier. It was great having a grocery store on the first floor with the rewards card attached to the key. The area felt very safe to walk around at night. The condo was very clean and a comfortable place to rest in between our explorations. My 17 year old daughter thought the areobed was very comfortable. The master bed was very firm. Although we did not use the pool and gym it was very nice. I liked too that we had a balcony and didn't feel shut in like a hotel. Nicole was prompt with responses. We would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My wife and I recently spent a week in this condo and couldn't have been happier with the accommodations and location. The condo is well equipped. While we only ate breakfast in, preparing other meals certainly wouldn't have been a problem particularly when you also have access to a couple of bar-b-ques by the pool. The pool is a great place to unwind with a beverage after a day of sightseeing. One of the great features of this location is the well-stocked grocery store on the main floor of the complex. It has a great selection from wine to fresh produce. The location couldn't have been better. It is walking distance to the Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier, and Millenium Park. In addition, the free Navy Pier shuttle bus goes right by the building. For attractions that are a little further away there is a subway stop underneath the building. You won't go hungry with countless restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance (many within two blocks). On our last night we had a wonderful dinner at a Brazilian steakhouse on the main floor of the building. But be warned, this is not a restaurant for vegetarians and be sure to bring a huge appetite. The condo has a good view and is pretty much as pictured (a few minor changes in furniture layout since the photos were taken). The description of the property and ammenities is accurate. Perhaps the true test is whether one would recommend the property to a friend or relative ... we would do so without hesitation. We loved Chicago and look forward to returning. We would definitely rent this condo on our next visit.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing.

Everything everyone else said is right on the mark. There were even spices available that we used because we cooked in the time we were there. We NEVER had a problem connecting with Nicole through e mail. Having internet in the apartment was terrific. The King size bed was wonderful. I have a daughter in chicago and when I can get a good flight, if the apt is available, I would definitely stay there. Thank you Nicole for such a wonderful place.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing.

After staying at Nicole's condo in Chicago there is nowhere else I would stay when I come back for a visit. It was easy to find. The accommodations were upscale with everything you could ever need. It was easy to walk to all the attractions. There was convenient parking in the same building. It was nice to have the internet available. We were sent a list of restaurants which is very helpful. There was also a grocery store in the same block as the condo. The only thing I wished for was more time in Chicago.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing.
